January 1985, Daniel LaRusso goes to the West Valley High's Winter Formal with Ali Mills. He's expecting a nice little party with some good music, some spiked fruit punch and maybe a bit of kissing while he slow dances. What he doesn't expect is a huge creature crashing the party and terrorizing everyone and if that wasn't bad enough already he has to team up with Johnny Lawrence, his (ex?) rival, to save the day. Talk about formative experiences!

Absolutely disastrous Daniel & Susan fake dating plot where Ali and Daniel broke up earlier in the second half of senior year and at some point Susan comes to Daniel and tries to convince him that they should pretend to date to make Ali (andJohnny) jealous (Susan is convinced that if she can just keep Daniel and Johnny focused on each other maybe the rest of them won’t have to deal with their weird bullshit, and she’ll finally get a chance to have Ali all to herself if she can just get her new stupid UCLA boyfriend out of the way)

She’s not exactly straightforward about any of this with Daniel, though. Why would she be

okay so do you guys know that part in ck when ali and johnny see each other again and ali says something like:

"my daughter was on the path to becoming a ballerina and then she joined a punk band"

that led me to the head cannon that in college ali, susan and barbara created a band and were semi-popular in the late 80s-90s.

like imagine jessica somehow becomes friends with one of them and invites daniel to one of their shows. she's all like "Daniel you HAVE to come to my friends show sometime you'll love it". and so they go and daniel is just bugging out trying to figure out if that's ali or not because she dyed her hair and she looks completely different from when he last saw her.

but then. imagine this okay. hear me out on this.

so we know johnny 'partied through all of his 20s' and also loves music (specifically rock) so just imagine him and the cobras ALSO going to the same concert as jessica and daniel. IT HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL. LIKE HOW WOULD THEY REACT??? AHHHH.

if this is daniel i REFUSE to answer this ask about my aus...but anyways - so when the cobras, ali, susan and barbara are 16, they all pitch in and buy this old, rundown cabin by a lake for real cheap. the plan was to fix it up and have summer trips as a group once they all graduated - after ali and johnny split up and their friend group with it, they all kind of forgot about it. it wasn't like they spent that much on the piece of junk, no big deal - fast forward a couple years though: it's summer after highschool, and after YEARS of pining, susan has tentatively entered a relationship with her best friend ali mills!! woohoo!! only ali still isn't sure of her identity, and neither of them have gotten the courage to put ANY kind of label on whatever they have. ali's going off to UCLA soon, and susan's getting anxious about them not figuring things out before then. - she then gets a great idea. what if the two of them spend a romantic weekend together at the lake, and while theyre there susan can actually start the "what are we" talk and maybe, if all goes well, bring up the idea of them being roommates in college, so they don't have to do the long distance thing. suze could apply for spring semester at UCLA, even. all ali would have to do was say yes. the weeekend was gonna be perfect. - except for the fact that johnny lawrence and daniel larusso seemed to have a similar idea. - after making out at prom, johnny and daniel spent a couple weeks dancing around eachother before finally (finally!) admitting to having real feelings for eachother. they'd been dating for a couple months, and johnny's kind of been stressing over how to tell the rest of the cobras that they aren't just really close friends now - and thats when he gets a GREAT IDEA. bobby's his best friend, and he's always kind of been the mom of the group. if he tells him about daniel first, surely it'll make telling tommy, jimmy and dutch way easier afterwards. so he plans for him, daniel and bobby to take a trip up to the old cabin for a couple days. that way, he and daniel can break the news to him then, AND it'll get him more used to the idea of seeing them together. foolproof. - what are the odds of both alisusan and lawrusso ending up at the same unused cabin on the same weekend? turns out, high enough. love that for them!

I cannot stop thinking about a Johnny and Daniel doubles partner tennis au.

Imagining Johnny and Daniel both play professional tennis and are like heated rivals who are constantly arguing with one another. They sit on the bench during breaks and just argue back and forth about stupid shit like whether a ball was really in or out.

Their rivalry is famous for being overly stupid, but their matches do get a lot of views.

Johnny's usual doubles partner, Tommy, gets injured and can't compete in a tournament. So, Johnny looks for a doubles partner to train with last minute and Daniel just so happens to be in town.

They train together and keep fighting, but they also have great chemistry together. They move around each other so gracefully and work together so well.

So, they decide to enter a tournament together and it's chaos. They almost fist fight each other on the court and also get into screaming matches on the bench, but they're too good together to separate.

It'd be interesting if Kreese was Johnny’s coach but also I think it'd be funny if Kreese and Silver were a doubles pair and their enemies. Homoerotic rivalry vs homoerotic best friends.

(And yes they fall in love and win Grand Slams and everything and go on to be old doubles partners. And no, Johnny never gives up the 80s tennis short shorts because he likes them and he's like, "You can't get rid of a classic, LaRusso." "Yeah, guess I can't get rid of you."

And yes they get married and the cake is tennis themed.)
