When the first notes of Beethoven's Für Elise floated in the air, Marianne rushed herself back to the room where the pianoforte is - the snacks can wait, she wasn't that hungry after all. In never ceases too amaze her how the pianist seem to fall into a trance while playing, their surroundings completely forgotten as nimble fingers tread on ivory keys. Such was Lucy's concentration that she did not notice Marianne, elbows on the piano's surface, propped her chin on her hands as she listened to the piece like a child enchanted. The very moment it ended, she said, "By any chance, you'd know The Beatles' The Long and Winding Road, right?"

Although she had a slew of song requests in her mind, thankfully, this one Lucy knew and obliged to her request. Marianne pulled her seat closer to her friend's, facing her, and sang along with the tune.

"The long and winding road That leads to your door Will never disappear..."
