Allí mismo, en la plaza del Ayuntamiento está desde junio pasado el Ágora Valencia, un pabellón sostenible y desmontable, construido a propósito de la cita de Valencia como capital mundial del diseño. Es una instalación sostenible, obra del arquitecto valenciano Miguel Arraiz, hecha con un 50% de materiales reciclados, lo que ha permitido ahorrar hasta un 70% de agua. El pabellón es una estructura de hierro, con láminas de cerámica que tamizan la luz, suelo de cemento y techo de vareta, una antigua técnica fallera que emplea listones de madera finos que se humedecen para facilitar su curvatura, y que posee un diseño ondulado que simboliza las olas del Mediterráneo. Durante el día, la sensación térmica se reducirá dentro de la estructura sombreada y aireada; y durante la noche, se convierte en un espectacular faro con iluminación cambiante, recordando los faros que guían a los barcos a puerto seguro. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ... Since last June, the Ágora Valencia has been in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, a sustainable and removable pavilion, built for the event of Valencia as the world capital of design. It's a sustainable installation, the work of the Valencian architect Miguel Arraiz, made with 50% recycled materials, which has saved up to 70% of water. The pavilion is an iron structure, with ceramic sheets that filter the light, a cement floor and a ceiling made of vareta, an old fallera technique that uses thin wooden slats that are moistened to facilitate their curvature, and that has a wavy design that symbolizes the waves of the Mediterranean.
