My mom had surgery today (nothing major, she's already recovering and doimg good). Because of university's labs i couldn't go visit her but i called her before and after her surgery. Both my dad and brother went to visit her when i still had to be in lab.

My grandma, my mom's mother, who promised her a week ago she'll be there when my mom will wake up after narcose, wasn't there. Didn't even go to visit. When my dad called her to pick her aboit when to pick her up and go to hospital with her at first she said she usually goes out with her dog that time. My dad told her to go earlier with the dog. After lots of persuasion my gradnma said okay. When my dad called her when he was getting closer to her house she told him that her neighbour came with free tickets to an expo that was in the town and she decided to go there instead.

Imagine what kind of a parent would choose free expo tickets over their child waking up after surgery? No matter how old your child is?

Long story short, this was the last straw for me and i no longer concider her part of my family. She doesn't deserve it.
