It does make me laugh that pretty much every cop introduced in this series vaguely sucks- like they aren't really good cops? they break the rules all the time but when they follow the rules that isn't really any better... Like yeah. That tracks.

#Karou seemed promising and then she was like Lmao Imma fuck this YAKUZA #also was vaguely maybe if not a functioning alcoholic def had an unhealthy relationship with it- which I actually loved! #Made her more real- like shes this young buck detective I thought she was gonna be cliched and hyper competent #but she was kinda wild and she went and got drunk and played arcade games and all in all was just A Bit Messy #actually really fun. I like the idea that she leaves eventually just like Date did but becomes a grizzled P.I and is having exciting #adventures WITH ryuji bc he didnt actually die #Tanimura straight up was a severe gambling addict and that wasnt ever really addressed which ???? #I liked his heritage being apart of his story and how he was a big brother/friend to everyone in little asia #but yeah the lack of anything happening about his genuine addiction and also the fact he def was doing dodgy shit was... uh. something. #maybe thats why hes gone- he got fired #Date. well you guys know about Date. #very funny
