TIPS FOR RUNNING A MARATHON @lagoscitymarathon is around the corner for many runners, the desire to do a marathon is about personal challenge. You might want to test your limits or prove that you can go the distance. 1.GETTING STARTED - Be aware of your limits - Start training early - Start small (Running a few shorter races). 2. BEFORE THE RACE - Hydrate well for several days leading up to your marathon. - Eat simple. - Lather up Vaseline in areas vulnerable to chafing. - The temperature may increase over the course of the race so don't Overdress. 3. DURING THE RACE - Enjoy the energy of the spectators. - A friend along the way is a huge boost. - Don't over hydrate yourself - Starting 4.
