#so i got into the owl house super late sjfbfjd #i honestly didnt know what to expect but #the show is really really good #i dig the humor its legitimately funny and the stories are well done #was not expecting a legit colonizer as the bad guy but woof he was easy to hate #i liked how the team wrote the many aspects of that as well it felt idk respectful in a way #like it was a 'heres how people like this who very clearly arent good people use their power and influence to get others to ignore that' #also i appreciate the little ways they wrote stuff like abusive/neglectful parents and relationships #one that comes to mind is Amity and her dad when he goes to hug her and she asserts herself and offers a hand shake instead #i love that kind of thing being taught to kids where their boundaries should be respected and they should feel comfortable saying yes/no #or how Amity didnt go through Luz's phone even tho she knew Luz wasnt being honest #all these things lead to a bigger conversation about concent and i just really loved all those touches #plus the cast is super fun and interesting #i love the character growth and i love all these kids im their parents now please let them rest and be safe omfg #anyway im caught up #aaaaaaaand i may have made a teacher oc for the beastkeeping track at the school #dont know their name yet but!!!!! #i just thought it would be fun #thats what i would have gone into if id lived in that world ngl #anyway go watch the owl house #also eda call me
