Kabosu’s owner, Atsuko Sato, said her dog died — “crossed the rainbow bridge” — Friday, May 24. “She went very peacefully without suffering, as if falling asleep while feeling the warmth of my hands petting her,” Sato said. “Thank you all so much for loving Kabosu all these years. I am certain that Kabosu was the happiest dog in the world. That makes me the happiest owner in the world. Predicting the weather and a bit of love in your area
Day 14 for @mlbfemslashfebruary
[Yes this is aurore x mireille again because I love them!]
Tumblr media
It’s Valentine’s and the studio had been decked out with the famous reds and pinks, hearts all over the place.
To Aurore it was a bit too much, not that she didn’t like celebrating the ones she loved but the whole day was made for romance.
And the weather girl just had a crush, one that she would never speak aloud. Unless Aurore just managed to grasp that confidence and yell it to the whole world;
She was in love with Mireille Caquet
Yeah it sounded nice when the blonde said it in her head, but outside she was very much panicking.
Oh god what if there was a love themed akuma?! Aurore really couldn’t have it effecting her, then her precious secret would be unveiled to the whole of Paris!
Maybe just maybe this Valentines would go slightly better for Aurore. Or maybe it would stay the same.
A girl can dream though.
——-
Mireille isn’t surprised when most of the crew are chatting about love. It’s Valentine’s what did she expect!
Half of them were either in love or in a relationship, which is good for them. But god the constant gloating was just pissing her off.
But she can’t be salty, nor can she be angry. That’s just gonna cause an akuma and several other problems she doesn’t need.
Especially since there’s that dance tonight, and Mireille would rather dance her sorrows away. But at least she had Aurore by her side, they’d brave any kind of storm together.
Speaking of her partner, the blonde isn’t sat on her usual perch by the studio entrance like usual and Mireille is kinda worried.
Her gut leads her to the roof though.
“Aurore, you there?!”
A pause, then a sniffle.
“Over here.”
The girl hurries over towards the voice, seeing her partner staring at her phone. The blonde then stares up at Mireille with those big blue eyes of hers.
“What’s up?”
The teen settles herself right next to Aurore, a soft smile on her face and her hand reaches out for another.
“It’s weird, I was looking at advice to confess to someone and it kinda just made me sad.”
Ahh, the old love is most likely to confuse you until you get the guts to face it.
“How about you practice on me, surely it can’t be that hard right? I’m your friend.”
Aurore scoffs, trying to doge the conversation by turning away from it.
“It’s not that simple Eille, cause I can’t just confess to you like this because your you, amazing and kind you. I’m just silly lovesick me.”
Oh, so Aurore did feel the same way.
“But I like silly lovesick you, nothings gonna change that rore. Because I love you, all of you.”
Mireille watches with a smile as the blonde goes through shock and joy at the same time, a huge smile morphing onto her face.
“Well, I love all of you too.”
She’s smiling now, huge smiles. Joy radiating from both of them after a surprise confession.
Oh what bliss this was, they had found each other and had stuck together like glue. It was a friendship and a new love to last for the ages.
Aurore and Mireille were so excited for what was to come.

This was all ever about a human who loved her pet.
In Sato’s most recent posts about Kabosu, she said the dog was “in a very dangerous condition” and appeared to be jaundiced, but was also taking antibiotics. But she also thanked Kabosu’s fans for their support, saying she is “getting power from all over the world!”

Beautiful Venice
Tumblr media
Who wouldn’t fall in love with beautiful Venice? This unique city sitting on its own lagoon where everything is connected by the canal system, is an amazing place; but it’s also a challenge.
Tumblr media
The maze of narrow streets, bridges and waterways combined with thousands of tourists and 30 degree heat made Venice an exhausting prospect. Luckily, we were staying just a 20 minute ferry ride away so it was very easy to get in and back out again.
Tumblr media
We loved the history and the architecture - beautiful St Mark’s Square where a four piece band played to diners and those who had stopped for a coffee or a glass of wine. Doge’s Palace was incredible and we enjoyed the view from the Rialto Bridge along the canal as the gondolas manoeuvred through the busy waterway.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also found the Bridge of Sighs - a famous Venice landmark - which connects the palace to the old prison cells.
Tumblr media
Searching for an escape from the crowds, we headed for the Ca’ Rezzonico, a Baroque palace on the Canal Grande now the home of a museum on 18th Century Venice. At the back of the museum there is a peaceful garden and a fountain where turtles and Coi Carp live. It was the perfect place to rest in the shade before the next round of sightseeing.
Tumblr media
Obviously, the city has its fair share of designer shops and in the shopping centre tourists can book a free ticket to go onto the roof for a view of the city. Alex took the lift to the terrace - but unsurprisingly I stayed below!
Tumblr media
Our final stop was at The Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari - the largest church in the city - which houses, among others, the tomb of the composer Monteverdi, a pioneer of Opera. So much history but we lost our way more than once, and had to catch a later ferry when we couldn’t find the terminal, as we tried to navigate this unusual city.

First Weekend Trip!
Saturday Feb 4th:
I woke up at 5 am to get ready to go to the train station for Venice! Emma, Ari, Kailey, and I arrived in Venice at 10:30 am. We were amazed by the view; as soon as you step out of the station, you see the bridges going over the water and all the boats.
Tumblr media
Venice! The weather was mild for February.
Tumblr media
The four of us were hungry, so we walked around, looking for a cafe. We sat outside, and I had a cappuccino and apricot brioche.
Tumblr media
We walked past a man singing opera on our way to the main area, which made me feel like I was in Italy. We went to St. Mark’s square to admire the view and took pictures together.
Tumblr media
Me and Ari!
Then we walked to Acqua Alta bookstore, where we all got a postcard as a souvenir!
Tumblr media
Acqua Alta is a famous photo spot.
Our Airbnb was away from the main area, but it was only a 10-minute train ride! Once there, we changed and headed back out for lunch/dinner around 4 pm. We saw this guy doing tricks for the Carnevale, and he was pretty bad, which made it funnier.
We walked to Very Good for dinner, and I got prosciutto pizza!
Tumblr media
We bought masks at a stand and walked around wearing them! Other people had costumes on, which was fun to see!
Tumblr media
Ari, Kailey, me, and Emma!
We saw a sign for gondolas and decided to go for it because the weather wasn’t bad. I learned that all gondola rides are a fixed price of 80 euros. The gondola ride was beautiful. It lasted thirty minutes. I think we picked the perfect time because the sun was going down; when we started, it was light, and when we ended, it was dark, and the lights were shining.
Tumblr media
Beginning of the gondola ride!
Tumblr media
End of the gondola ride!
Despite it being cold, we wanted gelato and ended up at gelato natura, and I got salted caramel in a cone. Next, we joined the crowd to watch the carnival go by on the river. But, what we didn’t realize was that it was only one big float on the water. It was very extravagant, with elaborate costumes, dancing, and opera singing.
Tumblr media
Once it was over, we walked to McDonald’s for a snack, and I got fries. We took the train back to the Airbnb around 10:30 pm and went to sleep. I got over 32,000 steps that day, despite the train ride. Such a fun day with the roomies!
Sunday Feb 5th:
We had brunch at an American-looking restaurant called Fluffy Brunch; Ari and I had avocado and egg toast, and Emma and Kailey had fluffy pancakes!
Tumblr media
My breakfast! Kailey's pancakes in the background!
Around 1 pm, we went to the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca' d'Oro, and then the Museo di Palazzo Grimani because it was the first Sunday of the month. In Italy, all museums have free admission on the first Sunday. I liked the Museo di Palazzo Grimani more if I had to pick a favorite, but the Florence museums are still my favorites so far.
Tumblr media
Museo di Palazzo Grimani.
When we were walking around, I filled up my water bottle with water from one of the fountains! The four of us decided to find a slice of pizza for lunch to sustain us until we got back home at 8:00 pm. On the train ride back, I read my book and went through all the photos I took! We live 5 minutes from the station, so once we left the station, we were basically home!
My overall thoughts on Venice:
It was so quiet in the less crowded parts because there was no road noise! It felt different from Florence in that sense. The water didn’t really smell; only once I thought it did. Venice was crowded for the festival, and I can see it being very crowded in the warmer months too. I would love to go back and see St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.

Official Rip kabosu inspired countless doge memes has died aged 18 shirt
Official Ed Gutter Desmadre Baby Girl Shirt
Franklin was angling to make a Official Ed Gutter Desmadre Baby Girl Shirt for himself as a publisher. As a publicity stunt, Franklin — in the guise of “Poor Richard” Saunders — claimed that astrological calculations showed Titan Leeds would die in 1733. When the prediction didn’t pan out, Leeds called Franklin a fool and a liar. Never missing a beat, Franklin claimed that, since Titan Leeds had died, his ghost must be doing all the shouting. Leeds tried to defend himself, but Franklin kept a straight face and argued that Leeds had been resurrected from the dead. The Leeds Devil was a resurrected Titan Leeds. The plan worked. Poor Richard’s Almanac became famous while the pioneering Leeds Almanac dwindled. Leeds was forced to convince people he was actually alive. Titan Leeds actually died in 1738. As revolutionary fervor grew in the mid-18th century and Americans looked for targets to exercise their anti-British feelings, the Leeds family made easy marks. They supported the Crown. They had sided with the empire and the hated Lord Cornbury and had been charged with somehow being involved in the occult. By the time of the Revolutionary War, the “Leeds Devil” stood as a symbol of political ridicule and scorn.
Official Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field 110th Anniversary Thank You For The Memories T Shirt
My mother confirmed later, that when she worked for the state’s Official Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field 110th Anniversary Thank You For The Memories T Shirt office, these properties were held for generations by families whose ownership couldn’t be easily determined due to inbreeding. I also met a man a couple of years later who worked for the department of public works. He told me he had to go out to these properties occasionally and had observed some outrageous behaviors among the Pine Barrens families that seemed to reinforce what my mother had said – that it scared him to the point that he told his boss that he wouldn’t go out there any more, even if it meant losing his job. He told me this before I even mentioned the camping trip incident. True or not, it creeped me out for certain! Either that, or worse, we could have run into the ‘Jersey Devil’! Never made another trip to that part of the state again…
Official Rip kabosu inspired countless doge memes has died aged 18 shirt
In my mind, it is complete, and is one of the Official Rip kabosu inspired countless doge memes has died aged 18 shirt poems. Every reviewer, save one, thinks it has no meaning whatsoever. Quoting from the best analysis of this poem from the late John Spencer Hill, “The first and, for over a hundred years, almost the only reader to insist on the intelligibility and coherence of Kubla Khan was Shelley’s novel-writing friend, Thomas Love Peacock: “there are”, he declared in 1818, “very few specimens of lyrical poetry so plain, so consistent, so completely simplex et unum from first to last”. Perhaps wisely, Peacock concluded his fragmentary essay with these words, thereby sparing himself the onerous task of explaining the consistency and meaning of so plain a poem as Kubla Khan.” (John Spencer Hill, A Coleridge Companion).

Kabosu the Shiba Inu, the Face of Dogecoin and Inspiration Behind the 'Doge' Meme, Dies at Age 18
Tumblr media
Kabosu, a Shiba Inu and the dog behind the "Doge" meme and cryptocurrency Dogecoin, died at the age of 18 from a disease-related illness. Previously, Kabosu, the Shiba Inu behind the internet-famous "Doge" meme that has now become a meme-driven cryptocurrency, has died at the ripe old age of 18 from multiple illnesses. Her owner, Atsuko Sato, confirmed on Instagram that she died on 24 May from. Wrote Sato of the dog: "To all of you who loved Kabosu, on the morning of the 24 May, Kabosu crossed the rainbow bridge. Thank you all so much for your support over the years," wrote Atsuko Sato, her owner. "She went very peacefully without suffering, as if falling asleep while feeling the warmth of my hands petting her. "I am sure Kabosu was the happiest dog in the world. That makes me the happiest owner in the world. "I would like to express my deepest appreciation to everyone who has sent us much love to us." Ms Sato, a teacher in Japan, adopted Kabosu in 2008 when she was sent to an animal shelter after her puppy mill shut down. Kabosu became an internet sensation when a 2010 photo of her with crossed paws and a slight smirk spread on Reddit and Tumblr. A Reddit user referred to the image as "Doge" - the intentional misspelling of dog a nod to a 2005 episode of Homestar Runner. The doge meme became popular in 2013. Coloured Comic Sans text overlays the photo, with broken English phrases like "Wow. So scare" and "What r u doing?" surrounding Kabosu. In 2021 the "Doge" meme sold as a non-fungible token (NFT) for $4m (£3.2m). Kabosu is also the face of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, which was originally created as a "joke" currency and is the sleeve sponsor of Watford Football Club. For a few days in April the Dogecoin logo was used as the icon for the Twitter home button. Your experience in Venice starts with the typical kind of thing you would expect — riding a gondola. One can sit comfortably in the velvety black gondola which has been usually driven by a very experienced person known as a gondolier. When moving slowly over the water, the natures of this column gradually unfold before us. There are high buildings decorated with beautiful sculptures along the streets, large palaces on the water’s edge, bridges built in the old times that seem like they are talking to you, colorful clothes hanging out of the windows above. The soft sound of splashing waves and the rocking of the gondola’s hulls may soothe one into a dream.
A Treasure Trove of Landmarks: Unveiling Venice’s Grandeur

the story behind the Boston tea party. tea was very popular during the 1700's. in England, each man woman and child consumed almost 300 cups of tea every year. and since the English colonized america, Americans were crazy about tea too.so when the britian wanted to increase taxes in America, people aka citizens were not happy. mostly because they had no say in decisions made in London.remember the famous phrase " No taxation without representation "? the American colonists had long believed that they were not subject to taxes imposed by legislature in which they lacked representation in fact rather then paying the taxes they simply doged the tax collectors. since the east coast of America is hundreds of miles long and the British enforcements was lax about 3/4 of the tea Americans we're drinking was smuggled in, usually from Holland. but the British insisted that the parliament did have the authority to tax the colonists especially after the britian went deeply into dept fighting the french in the seven years war. to close the budget gap, London looked to Americans and in 1767 imposed new taxes on a variety of imports including the Americans beloved tea. America's response was "No thanks!!" They boycotted the importation of tea from Britain and instead brewed their own tea. after a new bunch of commissioners and customs cried to London for troops because of tax enforcement things. in fact things got so heated that the red coats had to fire on a mob killing several people in what was soon called the Boston massacre. out if the terms of the 1773 tea act, parliament cooked up a new strategy. Now the east India company would sell the surplus tea directly through hand-picked consignееs in America. this would lower the price to consumers, making British tea competitive with the smuggled variety while retaining some of the takes. but the colonists saw through the British ploy and cried monopoly!! in a cold and rainy Dec. 16, 1773, about 5,00 are crowded into the old south meeting house, waiting to hear whether new shipments of tea that arrived down the harbor. when the captain of one of the ships reported that he could not leave the ship with his cargo on board, Sam Adams rose to shout " this meeting can do no more to save the country!! " cries of " Boston harbor a teapot tonight!! " rang out from the crowd and about 50 men, some apparently, as native Americans marched down to griffins wharf stormed aboard and threw 340 tea chests overboard and infuriated British government respond with the so-called " coercive acts of 1774 " which among other things closed the part of Boston until the locals compensated the east India company for tea. representatives of the colonies gathered at Philadelphia to consider how best to respond to continued British oppression. this first continental Congress supported destruction of the tea pleged to support a continued boycott and went home in late oct. 1774 even more united in their determination to protect their rights and liberties. the Boston tea party began a chain reaction that led to the declaration of independence and bloody rebellion after which the new nation was free to drink it's tea more or less in peace.

Venice
I always wanted to visit Venice. There was also something magical about the floating city of Venice. Venice didn’t disappoint but I was surprised how run down some part of the city were. The water levels have impacted the city over the years. However, the oldness of the city gave its charm. It was not easy getting to Venice. We had to take a ferry to where were staying and carried our luggage across cobble stones and lots of stairs. If you could afford a taxi boat I would recommend it. One the way back we chose to take a taxi boat and it was worth it.
Venice was like a maze with narrow lanes ways. Luckily we went when it was off peak season even then it was quite busy. I really liked the ice cream in Venice. We had it nearly everyday for afternoon tea. I also enjoyed the seafood pasta there. By the end of Venice I was getting sick of Pasta. It felt like lots of the restaurants served very similiar menus and there weren’t many other cuisine to try. You’re probably wondering why I would want to eat other food when you’ve been eating over a week the same thing you will feel like something else just to change it up a bit.
I loved exploring Venice it was like Iive travelled back in time. The whole city has kept it’s aesthestics. I also like the leather goods there too. Venice and Milan had so many leather good store I couldn’t help myself and bought a few hand made leather goods. I wanted to buy more but had no more space in my luggage.
We went to pretty much all the popular sights: Rialto Bridge, St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica, Bridge of Sighs, St Mark’s Campanile, Grand canal and more.
We also went to Murano, where it’s known for it famous had glass. We spent the day there and had lunch and watched a master prepare murano glass. It was very impressive how the master made a horse of glass in one movement.
One of most popular experience one should not miss is to go on a canal boat. We had a private one where it took us around the canals near our hotel. It was a very relaxing and romantic experience.

12:12 UTC
Every time I wake up, I have to check galnet to make sure I haven’t lost time again. This must be what it feels like to come out of a coma. The universe hasn’t significantly changed, but now something’s going on with the thargoid war, there’s some kind of cult involved, and I guess people get paid to find plants now?
There’s a lot I need to catch up on when I reach the end of this journey.
My brain feels like a neutron star’s firing off in it today. But you don’t get to take a day off when it makes the difference between living and dying.
My next waypoint is Eos Aowsy ZW-J c22-50. Aowsy feels like something Doge would say after getting bonked with a baseball bat.
Frell.
I just realised my already outdated meme knowledge is even further out of date.
In any case, I want to try reaching at least two waypoints today before calling it quits.
Heh. “Today.”
A measurement of time based on a planet we’ve long since drifted away from. We can’t forget our roots, I guess.
Well. Time to find something to blast into my ears, and fire up the engines again.
13:01 UTC
Here’s the thing about space. It’s really big. I know there’s already that famous quote about how big space is, but hear me out here.
The human brain was not designed to comprehend these kinds of scales. Hell, there are things planetside that are simply too big for a human to really comprehend beyond a theoretical level.
You might understand a mile. Maybe in terms of a distance you can run, or drive in a car. Ten miles, sure. But 100? Or 1000?
I am travelling lightyears. I am so far away from Sol, that by the time one photon from there were to reach me, I’ll have been long dead. Possibly in the “thousands of years” sense, I haven’t done the math.
And it’s just a few orange lines on a map.
Honestly, I’ve seen some ships that I’d say are big enough to be beyond human comprehension in terms of scale. Space stations definitely are.
I think about this a lot. Star Trek loved to show us the Enterprise, but it was rarely in a context that allowed you to truly comprehend the scale, at least in the early days.
One of the first things Red Dwarf shows us is a solitary person painting the side of the ship. The camera pulls out until they aren’t even visible any more, and the camera just keeps going. You’re very clearly shown that this ship, is really frelling big.
As you may guess, by the fact I’ve taken the time to write an essay about how my brain is too small, I’m at my first waypoint. On to the next.
♫ Currently listening to: Daft Punk - TRON Legacy Soundtrack ♫
14:23 UTC
One of the systems on the way here(Dryau Aowsy KN-B c13-1001) had a whole buncha stars, and I couldn’t help but think of the line “There are three suns and no women, WHAT ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!!”
Tumblr media
I’m currently parked on some rock in Dryau Aowsy SZ-X c14-982, with a pretty decent view to boot.
Tumblr media
Though I did notice this nearby while zooping the camera around.
Tumblr media
Is this something I should be worried about? I’m not brave enough to drive my scarab over there for a closer look. Probably just a mildly interesting rock. Right..?
14:44 UTC
Nothing new to report. I’ve just been sitting here waiting to see if this migraine will weaken. But I have realised that when I finally reach Sagittarius A*, I’ve totally forgotten how to safely approach space stations from supercruise, and I don’t have an assist module. I vaguely remember something about controlling your speed to keep it around 7 seconds away, which is how I’ve been approaching planets, but a planetary approach will automatically drop me out of supercruise when the time is right. I don’t think approaching a station will? Does my ship alert me when it’s time to drop out of SC? I really don’t remember.. The training sims all used SC assist...
♫ Currently listening to: Henry Jackman - Kick-Ass: The Score ♫
15:35 UTC
I’ve made it to Ogairy LC-M c7-338. There’s like 7 waypoints left from here.
22 jumps per waypoint, that’s like.. 154 jumps? I can do 154 jumps, when my map settings were frelled up I was making like 180 jumps a day.
There’s a real chance I can finish this relatively soon.
Just don’t think about the journey back.
Honestly I’m wondering if I’ll be able to hitch a ride on a fleet carrier or something to get back. Depends who’s around I guess.
Though I shouldn’t be in such a rush to leave Sag-A* when I get there. I should take some time to enjoy the victory.
When I get there.
15:50 UTC
Okay, so I’ve been pondering my options. I think I’m going to step out of the cockpit for a bit. Get some food in me. I’ll publish this log for now. I’ve been wanting to keep one day’s events as a single log, to keep things tidy, but I guess I’ll make a part 2 if I continue the journey today. I need to assess if I have the mental energy to keep flying.
Knowing the end is in sight.. It gives me some hope.

Analysis of the Song of Ice and Fire in the Encryption Market
Summary: Genius or Psychotic
Foreword: The recent PEPE has been on the hot topic list, which has changed the “tepid” market status and rekindled the dream of users to get rich overnight with MEME coins. But MEME coins are a very dangerous cryptocurrency because they originate from Internet culture. In other words, price action depends on whether MEMEcoin can remain relevant by driving hype or support from the community, which itself lacks fundamental value.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, the launch of the SUI mainnet has opened a new chapter for the narrative of the public chain. Judging from the popularity of the market, it seems that MEME has stolen the limelight, but its ever-increasing public chain ecology also shows the development potential of SUI. On the one hand, there is a frenzy of MEME coins, and on the other hand, there is a low tide of “falling into silence” in the public chain. It seems that the two planes of ice and fire, but what traps and business opportunities are hidden?
Fire: dance on the tip of the knife
In April, the PEPE coin whose logo was based on the famous Internet IP “Sad Frog” suddenly became popular, and it rose by 270,000 times in half a month. Following PEPE, a large number of “earth dog” MEME coins have also appeared one after another. Speculators feel the huge price fluctuations in the fast-forward and fast-out, and the thickness of the wallet also changes together. There is a big wave of animal coins in 2021.
In the meme craze in 2021, Elon Musk can be called the number one contributor. He once shouted on Twitter to fly DOGE, SHIB, FLOKI and other MEME coins. Every time he mentioned it, the currency price rose to varying degrees, creating DOGE 400 times , SHIB 100,000 times, Floki tens of thousands of times the myth of wealth creation.
“Earth Dog” changed to “Golden Dog”, which is a compliment to meme coins. At present, the strong traffic and market enthusiasm have naturally attracted many “earth dogs” to follow suit, including the Hasaki (HAHA) coin, which is derived from the skill voice of the game character “Yasuo” in “League of Legends”, and originated from the panda head spoof expression package. POGAI tokens, WOJAK tokens derived from the familiar expression pack of depressed bald men with raised forehead lines, and Ladys, which Musk has recently “shouted orders”.
At the same time, this year’s wave of speculation has also caught up with the BRC-20 token standard developed by the Bitcoin network in March. Many projects have begun to issue MEME coins on the Bitcoin network to give this “earth dog” speculation The heat provided another excuse.
Different from the narrative style of MEME coins, BRC20 is more like a narrative of Bitcoin value capture. But for Bitcoin fundamentalists, Bitcoin without ecology is more imaginative and has a higher value.

Ice: the dark power under the momentum
If the hottest public chain last year was Aptos, the hottest public chain in the first half of this year is Sui. Although SUI has repeatedly shouted “There is no airdrop plan” since last year, there are still a large number of users who “do not give up” and continue to ambush the ecological airdrop interactively.
Therefore, on April 15, the public chain Sui confirmed that it will not airdrop in the end, but will conduct SUI token sales directly through the exchange. OKX, KuCoin and ByBit have successively announced the sale of SUI tokens. Users need to meet specific whitelist requirements before they can subscribe. The basic subscription price is 1 SUI = 0.1 US dollars, and those who meet the whitelist of Sui Foundation contributors can get a minimum subscription of 0.03 US dollars price. After the launch of the Sui mainnet, the price of the SUI currency once soared to $2, an increase of up to 2000%.
However, because the official finally implemented the “no airdrop” move, some people in the community were dissatisfied and shouted “no airdrop = no community”, thinking that there is no airdrop for early users, testnet participants, and those who waste time and energy. Let the project suffer.
However, for the public chain Sui, its market enthusiasm has not cooled down. Even after the meme craze attracted a wave of funds, Sui’s performance is still very strong. Within a few hours after the Sui mainnet was launched, the SUI transaction volume exceeded 700 million US dollars, and half of the transactions occurred on Binance’s SUI/USDT trading pair.
According to CoinGecko data, SUI has fallen back to trade at $1.43, with a market cap of $760 million and a fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $14.4 billion.
In comparison, SUI’s main competitor, Aptos’ native token, APT, has a market capitalization of about $1.8 billion, or a fully diluted valuation of $10.2 billion.
As a high-performance Layer 1 public chain, Sui adopts the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, and both Aptos and Aptos use the Move programming language created by Meta (formerly Facebook) to drive applications on the blockchain.
With the launch of the mainnet, Sui’s development network and test network have supported more than 200 projects, including a series of categories such as games, finance, law, and business. Devnet’s validator set consists of just four validators, all of which are run by Sui’s core contributor and protocol designer, Mysten Labs, as it prioritizes being a secure execution environment for the project, putting pressure on application development test.
Sui’s testnet was built in batches, testing various aspects of the protocol. Testnet Wave 1 is designed as a secure environment for validators to test the operation of Sui nodes or machines. Testnet Wave 2 expands participation to application builders, end users, and delegates, while testing storage funds, Sui’s DPoS consensus mechanism, and gas mechanism. In late March 2023, Sui announced its permanent testnet to test sponsorship transactions, zero-knowledge proofs, and other future developments.
Tumblr media
Although Sui’s currency price has not seen a large increase at present, its ecological enthusiasm continues. This style of pursuing long-term development and value capture is in line with the narrative style of the public chain. For example, Solana’s high-performance story, Cosmos and Polkadot’s cross-chain narrative, and PlugChain and ChainLink’s value capture in the field of decentralized oracles. As an aside, compared to ChainLink, which only focuses on the oracle field, PlugChain is more inclusive and open, effectively combining cross-chain technology, oracle, and on-chain AI, so that “data on the blockchain “It is more valuable and more conducive to the intelligent development of ecology.
For the public chain, it is not seeking short-term skyrocketing and plummeting, but more like a step-by-step exploration of future fields. In the past big bull market, the growth rate of public chain projects is often a hundred times or even a thousand times higher than that of institutional seed rounds, and the ecological projects of public chains can also run many excellent projects, so the public chain is equivalent to a golden mountain , As long as you participate in the early stage investment, you can almost participate in the following high-quality ecological project quotas, as long as you are interested.
At the same time, the life cycle of public chain projects is relatively short, and the benefits that can be maintained will be longer. After all, most early projects will have a lock-in mechanism. Many counterfeit online projects are almost a wave of flow without follow-up, while public chain projects can survive A bull and bear, and there is a chance to create higher value.
In the public chain track, it seems that under the ice, there is actually a fire of hope hidden. Maybe there is only a bull market opportunity, or an ecological flash point.
Tumblr media
Conclusion: Whether it is the MEME currency or the public chain, they are only a very small number of projects left after the big waves washed away the sand, and the consensus of the encryption community has become their value support. However, most projects end in death. After the popularity subsides, we will know who is “real gold” and who is “stone”. In the world of blockchain, there is never a lack of narrative, what is always lacking are those who have been really doing things!
