It's funny how news never sinks in when it's supposed to. I managed to land myself a postdoc a month and a half ago, but it didn't feel real. People would ask me how I was going to celebrate, but it didn't feel real, so I would just kind of shrug my shoulders and say I would figure that out once I had submitted my thesis.

Now it's sunk in. It suddenly feels real and now I feel like celebrating.

It only took a month and a half.
