It always starts with a circle

Here's a little step by step on how I make my HollowRoom panels. First the all important circle > sketch out the limbs, hair and face > block out the limbs/clothes in a messy way > actually this should be bigger > adjust the pose a little bit > done! Steps four and five are of course optional.

Also, I don't actually bother shading the HollowRoom panels most of the time. This is a solo project so I tend to keep it simple, but every now and again I'll put some extra details and shading in to make it look more dramatic. I've been asked before how I make my own panels and I don't really know how to go about making a guide for that BUT I did find the guide that helped ME back in the day!

My style's a little different, closer to latter day homestuck panels with rounder limbs, but it's still a useful guide I think.
