Neovember Day 16: FREE SPACE Just dumping a bunch of designs/customizations + gijinkas for potential pets, plus a couple other design stuff that’s been lying around

Character blurbs For the wall of potential pets/gijinka designs. -The ones with YES I'm pretty set on creating as pets, but if any of the others sound interesting it'd be awesome if you could send me up to 5 numbers (via reply or ask or whatever) of the ones that sound cool/want to see more of/etc, to help me narrow down my options BECAUSE I ONLY HAVE....SO MANY PET SLOTS..... -Also if any of the non-numbered customizations inspire you feel free to just run with it, it's all open game! :U They were the leftovers from my attempt to make customizations for pet species that I don’t already own, and are largely NP and cross-painting based. If you’d like the DTI link to take a closer look, I can send that to you too.

[1] Christmas/Desert Pteri (YES) A quiet but friendly desert nomad who makes a living guiding travelers across the Lost Desert and peddling odd wares. Although generally not much for scintillating conversation, he does express great interest in FOOD, particularly foreign cuisine.

[2] Candy Poogle (maybe?) A very timid and sweet poogle, but surprisingly stubborn once she commits to a promise. A botanist? Baker? Student in Brightvale??

[3] Woodland Wocky (YES) An agent from a secret taskforce committed to quelling anomalies in Neopia; carries around a lot of nifty gadgets. Claims to be from the FUTURE but she's kind of a loony so who knows man Her catch phrase is "Everything is under control!" ...It usually isn't. (Is maybe related somehow to Time Machine Wocky from that ooooold Time Machine event?)

[4] Checkered Quiggle (maybe?) A smug, self-styled bohemian on a quest for enlightenment. He always seems to be chasing the newest lifestyle fads, and waxes poetic about philosophy and spiritualism. Recently, he joined a cult.

[5] Woodland/Halloween Eyrie (probably...or maybe just NPC) A skeletal druid who literally fused with a tree in death Although rather unsettling to behold, she's basically just a hippie who went to the extremes with her love of nature. While not inherently malicious, she's not above trapping unwary trespassers as fodder for her plants. Witch friend of Clariote.

[6] Plushie Nimmo (maybe?) A jolly negg farmer with a noggin full of stuffin' Nothing makes them happier than tending to their crops and sharing Neopia's #1 staple, the Negg!!

[7] Halloween Draik (YES) A sleazy Meridell mercenary who'll hunt anything for the right price. Although his skills as a marksman are top-notch, his nature is wholly unpleasant and volatile to whim. Has something of a vendetta against those that consume draik eggs as a delicacy.

[8] Zombie Blumaroo (maybe more NPC) An undead blumaroo clad in old soldier's garb. Attracts flying projectiles with a peculiar frequency; flung objects in the near vicinity will find its way towards this poor dead fellow, no matter how impossible the trajectory. Otherwise mild mannered and friendly for a shambling corpse, he likes to listen to other people's problems and gives oddly inspirational pep-talks.

[9A and 9B] Island/Desert Yurble OR Camouflage/Robot Yurble (maybe?) A star athlete and local hot-shot, he was training to become a professional Yooyuball player for the Mystery Island team. But for one reason or another, he was transformed into a monstrous, abyssal creature. (is it permanent? reversible? conditional? WHO KNOWS...I just liked the #aesthetic of the monstrous design)

[10] Island Jubjub (maybe, but don't have much of a character idea for) A young shaman who communicates with the cosmos. Wise beyond her years, but easily distracted and likes to fall asleep at inopportune times.

[11] Pirate/Desert Zafara (maybe?) A crafty thief with a rough demeanor. Resourceful and self-serving, she's quick to capitalize on an opportunity when she spots one.

[12] White Cybunny (more NPC material but maybe) A Shenkuu local that works at the Inn. Kind-hearted but quite naive, she recently joined the cult with completely pure intentions of helping those in need. Greatly admires Hissi Innkeeper and views her as a role model.

[13] Christmas Vandagyre (maybe?) A precocious young heiress with a guarded, icy demeanor. Adamant in protecting her inheritance, she dabbles with the magical research left behind by her late father in order to keep outsiders out of her mansion.

[14] Faerie/Fire(?) Tuskaninny (more NPC material) A scholar tasked with recovering magical artifacts lost from Faerieland's fall. While generally good-natured, can come across as a bit pushy and lacking in tact. Likes to crack corny jokes to lighten the mood, but they can be a bit hit-and-miss.

[15] Faerie Tonu (more NPC material) A scholar tasked with recovering magical artifacts lost from Faerieland's fall. A deep and observant thinker, they prefer to ruminate carefully on the matter at hand, and dislikes being rushed. Has a gentle demeanor but can be passive aggressive when irked.

1 - 7 June 2020

This was an odd week. I am having the same mixed emotions I had at the end of every summer holiday the week prior to school resuming. That combination of excited anticipation and sadness that the bliss of summer’s freedom was coming to an end.

I finished the DIY projects I started in the house; the weather cooled and it even rained; Ann’s birthday present finally arrived, a week late; I continued my daily studying of French; reading; I finally started bingeing on Netflix and discovered some YouTube channels, choosing to have a more relaxed week; and we are working on a 2,000 piece jigsaw puzzle of St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Because of the weather and several blisters from my last run on Monday, I didn’t manage a second run, though I still have today.

I learned something about chillies this week too:

Ann is planning to try to get to her home in France on 16 June. Kitty has been told to prepare to return to work from 1 July. Things are changing. I took my first Uber ride yesterday, back from Susie’s birthday party where it was mostly virtual except me.

Tomorrow morning I’ll be back on the last N22 to work which hopefully is still on the same timetable. Evidently the routine at work is completely different too. I’ll report on that next week.

Bruno et Stéphane’s wedding announcement has been posted near Lyon. I’m very excited to be Stéphane’s witness in December and I really hope all goes as planned.

I made some new Neopets aaaaa

Their names are Teaseley (Woodland Krawk) and Marthen (Water Pteri) and they’re boyfriends and based on some existing characters that my girlfriend and I have.

Teaseley’s a big over-emotional softie and Marthen is a lil grump with a heart of gold. They live in a forest, which Marthen isn’t a huge fan of considering he’s a neat freak and hates mess and dirt, but he puts up with it cause it makes his big lug happy.

An update on my Neopets adventure in new account, a spectacular day that's been like 21 years in the making, but I have finally gotten my hands on a Cybunny, and not just any Cybunny, but one with a name I got to pick out and in a color I've been eying in any pet style for literally decades.

9 year old me would be ecstatic. Grey color looks sad normally, but it was the cheapest potion I could buy (800k NP), so I made a Lupe and used the potion on her

In all seriousness, tho, I am very happy about this. I know it's probably stupid to someone else to hear about a literal 30 year old still attempting to get a particular virtual pet species after two decades have passed since the desire was first sparked, but I told myself that first day on Neopets: "I want the bunny one!" 😭

Anyway, you probably are wondering how the other four Neopets are doing?

Well, I still am looking for the desired colors for Megavolty and BuddyFlud, but QuackyJacky and now ReggieBushroot are pretty much at the desired choices. I just got a Woodland Pteri potion for 100k NP, which was way easier than trying to go for a luck of the draw sort of thing.

Brainstorming my pets

They definitely fall into either feral or sentient categories, irrespective of whether they’re anthro or not. I have a hard time giving my bipedal designs an anthro form bc I feel like, job already done? they’ve got hands 2 grab with what more do u need tbh. Some of my anthro pets interact, but I don’t know if there’s one running theme I can draw between them all. And there’s a definitive lack of story with my ferals. They’re just cute and fun.

Gremlich: mutant tonu. Stronk butch, plays as goalie on a local YYB team in the Haunted Woods, spends the rest of her time at the pub ♀

Eldritch: desert kyrii. Luscious bi merchant who travels around the Lost Desert visiting her many paramours, and luring tourists to their deaths ♀

Lemarchand: stealthy moehog. Model for the seedy underbelly of neopia. Deeply inappropriate for a children’s website, morally reprehensible, danger lesbian ♀

Kodzuchi: mutant moehog. Arms dealer, sickly sweet, power-hungry little monster, employed by Biel, kills her husbands and keeps the mistresses ♀

Prozuno: camouflage jetsam. Sailor, Burly & Bi, lives on Krawk Island, he’s generally agreeable, but easily persuaded to do bloody mercenary work ♂

Apricates: faerie tonu. Rich bitch merchant, extravagant attention hog, highly influential, throws great parties. ⚥

Pikex: woodland scorchio. Nasty smelly trapper, makes his own moonshine and lives in a swamp, loves a dodgy deal, trying to woo Dazgar ♂

Dazgar: mutant krawk. Huge grumpy man. Wants to grow his swamp cabbages in peace. Infuriated by his flirtatious neighbor, Pikex. ♂

Urthwort: darigan ogrin. Minor lord in the court of the Darigan citadel. Whiny rude weasel. Does not mind his own business. ♂

Diocesans: White ogrin: the scary type of angel. Voice like burning steel & too many wings/eyes. Emissary of the Light Faerie Ø

Biellivue: faerie grarrl. Brutal nature, no sense of humour. Racketeer, runs a black market for weapons and contraband, generally involved in Crime Stuff ♀

Cetae: maraquan skeith. Enormous sea monster, she’s set herself down outside a busy port and is extracting a heavy toll for passage. Occasionally can be paid to sink ships for you. ♀

Motharin: faerie skeith. Precious perfect moth angel. ♀

Byzantiux: darigan buzz. Screaming hellbeast from Geraptiku Ø

Hunato: robot poogle. Mobile circular saw, built on the space station, purchased by Kodzuchi as an attack dog Ø
