I both love and hate that viral image of a wasp trapped in a clear Starbucks cup.

I hate it because just the image of a wasp makes me deeply uncomfortable. I understand that everything has its place in the ecosystem and all, but I cannot look at wasps or hornets. As a child I had a book of random science facts and there was a page with a picture of a wasp and I legitimately put a sticky note over it so I could open the book without fear of wasp coming to life from picture. That which holds the image of a wasp becomes itself a wasp.

I love the printed paper stuck to the fucking cup though. Every time I see the image I scroll so the wasp is out of view and I just read the cup and laugh.
