ISRAEL & THE FUTURE

Everything written about Israel in the Bible will come true. I'm aware of the fact that I've quoted from the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes before, both here and elsewhere, and I realize that the writer of that biblical book at one point hints at our human inability to discover what's to come in the future. Yet his knowledge was severely limited, and you have to look at the entirety of the Bible before making a snap judgement that long-term Biblical predictions are impossible. Non-Christians will likely doubt anyway, and I'm not here to convince them of the truth today. Whether they insist on refusing to believe what's to come or not, at some point, they'll just see it play out in real time in current events. But if you claim to be a believer and you don't believe that God himself knows the future and can predict it, then your concept of God is much too small. (You know, there's a reason God introduced himself as the One who was, the One who is, and the One who is to come in the Bible. All of time and history is known to the Eternal One.)

But I'm getting off track here. One of the prophecies in the Bible summarizes the exponential growth in hatred towards Israel that will eventually culminate to the point where all nations will come to make war against it. I'm not going to quote the verse or expand on it, lest some attempt to (mistakenly) justify their present or future aggression towards Israel. But let's just stop and consider what has occurred since the October 7th massacre by Hamas: 1) Some liberal news agencies and even the UN have had severe reservations about labeling Hamas a terrorist organization, even after Hamas explicitly targeted children, women, and innocent civilians. 2) The woke elements of the progressive left have so much disdain for Israel that they can't even stand to see posters of the remaining hostages hanging in public places, and as a result, they brazenly tear them down. 3) Pro-Palestine supporters in America have been blocking traffic, defacing certain government structures, and calling for the end of our support for our ally Israel. 4) Iran and its militant proxies in the Middle East have vowed retaliation against Israel & the U.S. for the "occupation" of Gaza, and Houthi rebels have been continuously assaulting ships in the region. 5) Jewish students on campuses have been harrassed and intimidated. 6) The United Nations' UNRWA has even been accused of assisting Hamas with their acts of terrorism on that fateful October day.

To be sure, hatred goes both ways. Some Palestinian protesters have been doxxed simply for practicing their constitutionally-protected right to (peacefully) assemble & demonstrate. A landlord attacked his Palestinian tenants, killing a little boy in an unacceptable & inexcusable rage. Palestinian young men were shot in another city in a clear criminal act of racial hatred. And I'm not here to excuse every act of Israel during this war. On account of the number of people and nations who seek the downfall and destruction of Jews, Israel has to be nearly perfect & without the slightest blame as they conduct their wartime incursions. And some would make the case they haven't done so. But there are some who have denied Israel's history and the horrific Holocaust that they endured. Many vowed "never again" to such vile eradication of the Jewish people, but there are others who seem intent on forgetting it.

My point is, the hatred towards Israel will eventually increase even more than we see today. And with some members of the Squad continuing to display overt anti-Semitism here in America, I wonder if we're closer to that time than we care to admit. (Can you imagine what it would mean for Israel, as well as for the Jewish people here in the U.S. if a member of the Squad ever rose to an executive position in government?!? I'm with Republican Congressman Ronny Jackson, such hatred towards the Jews should be held in check and many members of the Squad should have their security clearances revoked.)

Regarding the end of all things, Revelation 19:19 makes this interesting prophecy: "Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered to make war against the rider on the horse and his army." (NIV) One day governments and their militaries will be so deluded that they'll actually try to fight against a visible manifestation of God. Needless to say, it'll be a very short battle and it won't go very well for those who dare fight against the Almighty! But it's apparent we're coming closer and closer to an obvious rebellion against all things pertaining to God, and there will be an exponential increase of hatred towards His people. The Bible has already predicted it centuries ago. I'm only going to be able to finish about half of the posts I had in mind today. But before I close out, let me ask you: What side will you be on? (To be clear, with the exception of the final battle of Armageddon, I'm referring to the spiritural struggles & challenges we all face. I'm not making a call to some kind of physical battle.) You can choose to join God's winning side (a no-brainer!) or you can keep resisting His grace & love for you till the point of exhaustion and desperation. Why keep fighting God's open embrace for you when all He wants to do is heal & rescue you, shower you with love, and grant you life everlasting?

March 26, 2024 edit: The Biblical verse from Revelation in that last paragraph makes mention of "the beast" and experts state that methaphor refers to the person of the antichrist. Just wanted to clarify that.

The last book of the Bible is filled with symbolic imagery (as well as literal predictions) and it often alludes to reference from previous books in the Old Testament. It can be a difficult read, but it's also quite insightful!

Born 1978 Quetta, Pakistan, Khadim Ali currently lives and works in Sydney, Australia. After growing up in Pakistan as a refugee, Ali was trained in classical miniature painting at the National College of Arts in Lahore and in mural painting and calligraphy in Tehran.

Invisible Border comprises sound installation, miniature painting, and a monumental 9-metre-long tapestry, hand woven by a community of Hazara men and women, some who have lost family members in war. Featuring existing work alongside new commissions developed for the IMA, the exhibition will also feature Otherness, a major body of work developed in partnership with the IMA and Lahore Biennale Foundation.

Ali’s interest in tapestries developed soon after his parents’ home in Quetta, Pakistan was destroyed by suicide bombers. Amongst the rubble and debris left from the blast, a collection of rugs and weavings remained the only thing intact: miraculously able to withstand the reign of terror inflicted upon his family and community. In this new large-scale tapestry, and other works, Ali explores the impact of war, trauma and displacement drawing parallels from the Book of Shahnameh, a Persian literary masterpiece comprising of 50,000 couplets and written between c. 977 and 1010 CE.

Just like the many great mythic tales in the Shannameh, Ali’s intricate works depict stories of demons and angels, conquest and war through the lens of the persecuted Hazara community. Expressing the profound grief, trauma and loss experienced at the hands of modern-day warfare, Invisible Border is a necessary and vital exhibition during a time of political propaganda, violence, and fear.

Ali’s most recent work, Sermon on the Mount, adopts inspiration from the Bible and the Black Summer bushfires to generate a criticism of the experience of climate change.

Ali, who lives in Sydney’s inner-west, said his home was 40km away from the Black Summer bushfires.

“During the black summer we had horrible smoke. We were barely able to breathe. I was looking at the smoke and it was nostalgic, reminding me of the war,” he said.

“It reminded me of the stories people told when fleeing from a town that was set on fire, saying there was smoke on the mountain.

“The people who set their villages on fire, the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, they were considered a terrorist organisation. What do you call the corporations who caused climate change and set fire to a significant part of the forest of Australia?” he said.

IMA [Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane] Executive Director and exhibition curator Liz Nowell said she was thrilled to present Ali’s largest exhibition to date, in his adopted home of Australia.

“Khadim Ali is without a doubt one of Australia’s most acclaimed artists. His thought- provoking and poetic works have been seen all over the world: from the Guggenheim in New York to the Venice Biennale,” Ms Nowell said.

“Through intricately constructed textiles that draw on literature, traditional art forms, personal narratives and global politics, Invisible Border speaks powerfully to the experience of displaced peoples everywhere.”

His work provocatively confronts the social and religious prejudice his family has faced and considers its effect on the writing of history, particularly during wartime.

Sermon on the Mount (2020) is an example of the artist’s evolving visual language. A direct response to the 2020 Black Summer bushfires—which devasted much of Australia’s bushland—the work depicts a cast of animals and mythical creatures seeking refuge atop a mountain engulfed in flames. The title of the work, Sermon on the Mount, makes direct reference to a series of teachings attributed to Jesus Christ, and widely considered to contain some of his most important messages. This composite tapestry, which was initially constructed as a digital collage, is the artist’s reimagining of a 15th century illustration from the Anwar-i Suhayli. Widely considered a masterpiece of world literature, the Anwar-i Suhayli (also known as Kalīla wa-Dimna, in Arabic, or Panchatantra in Sanskrit) is a collection of fables describing animals as heroic creatures. In the original drawing, held in collection of the British Museum, a crow addresses a group of birds to rally their support against a leader of the owls. In Ali’s version, the crow is replaced by a koala, who is seen towering above a cluster of animals as she delivers a prophecy that foretells the destruction of mother nature at the hands of humankind. While watching the fires unfold on the evening news, Ali was overcome with a deep and pervasive fear, which he likens to his experience living in a conflict zone.

As the artist himself states ‘The bushfires reminded me of the violence I spent my life trying to escape. At the same time as the Taliban burns people and their homes to the ground, a fire—only 40km from my house in Sydney—decimated whole species and blackened thousands of hectares of bushland. As the newsreader described animals feeling for their lives, I recalled whole villages hysterical and panicked as they tried to escape fire. So, what then, should we call these people—these corporations—who are destroying our natural world and quite literally scorching the ground we walk on?’

Iran has fired missiles at Islamic State, but then they said that they could fire those missiles at the United States, Saudi Arabia and Israel

Listen to Today's Program JD: What do you know about the tensions that have been ratcheted up there in Syria as it relates to Iran? KT: Well the Iranian’s for the first time in something like 15 years have fired off a long-range missile in a wartime situation. 15 years ago they hit an Iranian opposition base in Iraq, this time they fired off 8 missiles against an ISIS base in Syria. Now, when they fired the missiles they warned the United States, they warned Israel and Saudi Arabia. They did not actually fire against any of the other countries but they warned them saying basically, look we have these long range missiles today we’re striking at Syria but tomorrow we can just as easily point them towards you. So in a sense if you wish Jimmy they were demonstrating a capability to attack any of the countries in the region including Israel and including American bases. JD: Well what about the tensions ratcheted up there in Syria with Russia and Iran warning the United States? Now they say if the United States comes into the airspace over Syria they’re going to shoot them down; boy the tensions are really getting high there in Syria. KT: A US Navy F-18 downed the Syrian plane; shoot down the Syrian plane. That is indeed a very hostel action and the US will be I’m sure very interested to see the frequencies that the Russians are using on their air defense radar to track them because that’s going to give American pilots a key if they need to go after those Russian radar. JD: Ken Timmerman with the details on the rising tensions in the state of Syria.

We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Tensions are on the rise in Syria. Remember the players who are in Syria its Russia, the rebel opposition Arab groups, Hezbollah, Islamic State, al-Qaeda, the Syrian military forces, and the United States. This dukes mixture could explode into a full fledge war at any time. In fact, Russia and Iran have warned the United States not to enter the Syrian airspace. Tensions are very high at this time. The actors on the Syrian stage were foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets. The Saudi’s which would be the Ishmaelites in Psalm 83:6, the Russians and Iran are mentioned in Ezekiel chapter 38, and Syria itself is refereed to as the King of the North in Daniel 11:40. These actors could move into action at any moment, which is exactly what Bible prophecy calls for.

South Korea is to launch a special unit this year to incapacitate North Korea's wartime leadership, Yonhap news agency quoted the country's defence minister, Han Min-koo, as saying on 4 January. And you will see that part of this video shows a car bomb that has exploded outside a courthouse in western Turkey, killing two people and wounding at least five, less than a week after a massacre in an Istanbul nightclub. The blast unfolded in the coastal city of Izmir. It remained unclear whether a third suspect was on the loose. Local media had reported soon after the explosion that a wanted suspect was wearing a black coat and a white beret, but officials later said only that police killed two attackers. As a conclusion, I can say that we are in a battlefield against the evil forces of darkness as the bible said "​Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
