Scouting out lot locations in Tedhi's Vintage Champs Les Sims for a possible Stardew Valley save file. I've looked at so many worlds for this project (so many!) and this one feels like the best. It's always been one of my favorite worlds. So beautifully done...

I know myself, and if I tried to make my own world, this project would never see the light of day, ha. I have a few ideas on how to make it fairly functional within the Sims 3 with minimal mods, since the person I want to make it for loves both games too but isn't really a mods and cc sort of player. It has to be fun for me too though, so they'll have to put up with a bit of my playstyle. :)

How do I even explain this? I love TS3, but only ever build, and never get to actually play. Anyway, building worlds is one of my favorite things since I can listen to music or podcasts happily and peacefully during this. Well, here is a town inspired by Hondarribia (and other towns like Biarritz, Ainhoa...).....for no reason....there's no specific sim to live there or anything....

TS4 to TS3 TV Channels Default Replacement by Twinsimming 📺

This mod replaces video clips from The Sims 3 TV channels containing Sims 2 characters with video clips from Sims 4 TV channels containing Sims 3 characters and adds new channels converted from The Sims 4!

Place in your Overrides folder.

The following channels are new and available depending on the quality of your sim’s television:

Basic

TV Classics - Shows old black and white TV shows and soap operas (from Vintage Glamour Stuff)

PolitiSim - Broadcasts political debates and campaigns (from City Living)

Basic Plus

Civic Public Access - Features various shows including a sitcom, a dating show, and news broadcasts from different city festivals (from City Living)

BEtween - Features a cartoon based on MySims Agents as well as other shows for more mature kids (from Kids Room Stuff)

Premium

World Culture Network - Features documentaries about Champs Les Sims, Al Simhara and Shang Simla (from City Living)

High Definition

Music TV - Mainly shows music clips

Laugh Track (renamed from Comedy) - Shows a stand up comedy set and a parody of a late night talk show

Conflicts & Known Issues

- Conflicts with any mod that edits TV.xml file.

- Videos are no longer black and white on older/retro TVs.

- The video clips don’t fit all TVs perfectly due to the different aspect ratios. Some fit better than others.

- The video quality isn't the greatest (even when uncompressed), so if anyone knows how to upscale videos, please reach out!

I started building up Vintage Champs les Sims. I haven't named my town yet, but I'm proud of this little train station shell. No clue what kind of lot this is gonna be yet... maybe a cafe?

Here's a little WIP project I am working on tonight. I am planning on moving my sims family into it when it's done so I'll post more photos later.

I think it's coming along really good so far though! I took some inspiration from Tudor style architecture. At least for the exterior.

This was the first nectary lot I created for the Sunset Valley world when I bought the World Adventures expansion pack. Originally 25x30, I changed it to 30x30 to make it easier for others to place it in their preferred worlds. I removed all CCs and decided to keep it exclusive for WA objects only. No spawners but it does have WA grapes, so your Gardener Sims can harvest them without traveling to Champs Les Sims. Unfortunately, all of them are normal to nice quality only but when I have more time on my hands, I will definitely get back to this and update it to perfect quality.

I placed a L'amour des Fruits Nectar Maker for your Sims to try making their own nectars and added a bedroom, bathroom, computer and fridge in case they get tired or hungry waiting for the nectar process to complete. I only placed 18 nectar racks to prevent routing issues because, for some reason, this lot is busy in my world almost every day.

This lot has been play-tested and I've used it in all my saved games. Let me know if you experience any problems on your end. Click on the link below for more information about this lot.

Hello there! I downloaded the unpopulated University World that you shared and I love it ❤️ I'd like to ask of you also have an unpopulated version of Champs les Sims as a home suburb? I'm searching for it for ages because loading a sub-world bloats my save file. Thanks in advance ❤️

Okay so I really wanted to do this for you but the export I have just kept failing. All of my other test worlds (with just as much content) exported fine but not this one for some reason. I may try again in the future BUT I did take a moment to search for some options for you, maybe one of these two will work for your needs:
