Sooooooooooo My favorite animated series on YouTube has a costume design contest, and guess who has like a thousand ideas. There’ll definitely be more of these in the future, but for now, here are these :)

I wanted to keep them fairly simple for the sake of animation and Daria’s sanity, but still classic vampire shapes and aesthetic. Went for Vogue style on these, had a lot of fun with them :)

Missi & Duke for VampairVogue

I'm sure the reason Duke always wears a hat is the same than why some people always wear sunglasses.

However, at the time when hats was widespread, even almost obligatory to go out as in the 19th century, it was particularly impolite to keep one's hat on. It meant you could not wait to leave, you didn't want to stay.

I didn't shadow because I didn't want to.

Hey guys, it's been awhile. I decide to do something fun. You see. There's a contest of designing clothes for the next episode called "Vampair series* and who ever wins will get a poster with the persons signature with the winners costumes. I decided to join the fun and I love to design. Here is a drawing for the first character. I have have her a mermaid dress and a cute bat chest. And I noticed she never wears a cape and I would love to see her as a cape. To show that she's the new vampire now. Plus it's cute. I hope you like it! And if you want to join. This is my entry for Daria Cohen’s Vampair Vogue contest. It’s not much, but I’ve recruited the IDF last week, and today is my only chance to post anything before the contest ends.

So I hope you’ll like this submission as much as I like the vampair series and its characters. This series truly gives me hope for Israeli animation.

I’ve wanted to incorporate red in Missi’s outfit since she pretty much always has the wand with her now ( which has red in it ), and I wanted to show that she embraced the vampire life rather than tried to run away from it.

first photo is a modern Filipinia (Filipino traditional clothing) style dress. This design has been in my head ever since i watched "the night" and "fuck you". I wanted to try and make Missi as a "aswang" (it's a kind of Vampire here in the Philippines, there is also manananggal but i prefer the aswang coz manananggal's body cuts in half haha)

2nd and 3rd photos are my design for the showdown because Missi should still be able to sway her dress,pull Duke towards the dark AND KILL HIM (again) WITH TANGO!!!

So, for those who don't know Daria Cohen, She's a talented animator on Youtube who made a animated mini-series starring two characters, Missi and Duke. I love this series and highly recommend it! And so, it's not my surprise that when Daria announced her contest, "Create new costume designs for both characters for her next video!" that my reaction was; Costume desigh + animation + Mini-show that I love a lot = I'M IN!!! So this is my first design for Missi. As this is for an animation I didn't want to make it too complicated and so I went for a simple but chic design.
