Is this really gonna work?
No
Sapphire! You can't even sell it to your companions!

I feel like I already commented on this. But way to drive that thought home. . .
ugh
I actually had to take a minute before I could move forward. Maybe I read too much. My non-fiction is seeping into my fiction.

The Red Rolodex!
I'd forgotten all about this guy! Way to bring back a bit of Season 1.

Captivity in Paradise.
Greg seems to be enjoying it. Though to be fair, he is pretty easy going as a general rule.
And I guess in this paradise, humans don't die? Or maybe they do procreate?

Pearl's the hacker?
Oh, if only we had someone with us that has advanced knowledge of Gem technology and a natural knack with electronics. Where could we ever have found such a being?

Also, I'm having very mixed feelings about Holly Blue Agate. I think I dislike her royally. . . but there's something. . . I like here?
Poor Greg.

That's pretty specific.

Isn't having a Rose Quartz embedded in your belly a sure sign that you are not a human?

Apparently humans don't take well to captivity
LOL
Geesh, you can say that again. Maybe you should try out a little captivity yourself just to see what it's like. . .

She's a bit, uh, bitchy.
It's obvious she doesn't think much of Pink Diamond or "her quartzes". I understand that each Diamond has their own underlings and it seems this type of rivalry is common as well since we have heard similar from Peridot who was Yellow Diamond's.
If you don't mind, it kind of reminds me of a passage from Frederick Douglass's The Story of an American Slave (or at least I think it was described in that one. I actually read Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northup directly before that one, so sorry if I am referencing the wrong one.) where the main character describes how slaves would argue with slaves from other plantations about who had the better master. But this wouldn't be in the form of who had the kinder master, it would be whose master was wealthier, owned more slaves, etc. It created an unusual loyalty from slaves that protected their masters.
(Not that I'm calling the Diamonds slaveowners, but I'm really having a hard time seeing them as much else at the moment)

Um, is that supposed to be a diamond? I know they come in different shapes, but I always sort of assumed that diamond shape was a must somehow?
This just in. . . apparently, according to SonBot (as he rolls his eyes) there are more than 3 types of blue gems.

Gem Heist
Cool. This sounds like fun. Grab a rope, a flashlight, and a map. Let's plan a heist.

I thought we were here for the humans?

Ending
So I have some questions. But first, that was an eventful episode of a failed heist. Blue Diamond is on her way to visit and possibly thank Sapphire for the lovely gift, Amethyst is well into her shapeshifting stint which usually has a time limit on it (though it's rather long for her), Steven and Greg are being held captive in some sort of paradise, and no one knows how to open the door yet.
Overall, I'm going to give this one another 9 out of 10. And I'm quite looking forward to finishing this bomb and totally worried that the next episode isn't going to resolve any of the aforementioned issues.
I'm a little curious how the assignment of gems works. I mean, Peridot is Yellow Diamond's, the Amethysts are all Pink Diamond's, seemingly Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond's, Jasper WAS Pink Diamond's but was reassigned to Yellow Diamond, and both Holly Blue Agate and Sapphire are Blue Diamond's. Is this because of where/how they are created (aka, all Earth Gems belong to Pink Diamond). Is the coloration of the gem at all taken into account? And most importantly, are powerful and rare gems like Sapphires really only belonging to Blue Diamond or is there at least one for each diamond or do they actually serve ALL the Diamonds, even though Holly Blue Agate specifically mentioned our Sapphire as belonging to Blue Diamond? Do Rubies belong to Yellow Diamond? Did they used to be Pink Diamond's?
And, I know Yellow Diamond has a Pearl, but it seems any Gem can have a Pearl. . .

Why it got to be an Amethyst?
For a bit I thought maybe the reason I liked Holly Blue Agate is she reminds me a bit of my 5th grade teacher, who few students really liked, but I always loved. But, no way Mrs. Baum would have been such a fool. Nope, all my affection has officially disappeared.
