in the Conquest, it is noted that house Strong joined House Tully in favor of Aegon I against Harren, they are cited alongside some of the most notable houses in the Riverlands, Harren even offered one of Strong's daughters to anyone who slew Aegon's dragon, same with the daughters of Tully and Blackwood...it's weird because they didn't seem to be a particularly powerful house, I'd guess they were landed knights, but we don't even know what their original seat was, just that it was an old house that prided himself on descending from the first men do you think they could be one of the riverland houses that have been impoverished by the tyrant rule of house Hoare on the Trident?

The Tullys declared first, so they won the prize.

Also, WOIAF states very clearly that the Tullys were lords from the very earliest days of the Andal Conquest, and that their seat was Riverrun:

"Tully names appear in many chronicles and annals of the Trident, back unto the days of the First Men, when the first Edmure Tully and his sons fought beside the Hammer of Justice, Tristifer IV Mudd, in many of his ninety-nine victories. After Tristifer’s death, Ser Edmure went over to the mightiest of the Andal conquerors, Armistead Vance. It was from him that Edmure’s son Axel received a grant of lands at the juncture of the Red Fork and its swift-running vassal the Tumblestone. There Lord Axel established his seat, in a red castle he named Riverrun."

And no I don't think they were particularly impoverished; Riverrun is an incredibly strategically important castle.

Le lieutenant Amanda Lee est originaire de Mounds View, Minnesota. Elle est diplômée de l'Irondale High School en 2004, où elle a participé à des compétitions de soccer, de hockey sur glace et de natation. Pendant ses études à l'Université du Minnesota Duluth, Amanda s'est enrôlée dans la marine américaine en tant que technicienne en électronique d'aviation (AT) et a eu son premier commandement avec le Strike Fighter Squadron 136 (VFA-136) "Knighthawks". Elle a été sélectionnée pour sont admission en service en tant que pilote par le biais du Seaman-to-Admiral (STA-21) programme de mise en service en 2009.

L'année suivante, Lee a assisté à la Naval Science Institute (NSI) pour la formation des officiers à Newport, Rhode Island, et a commencé simultanément ses études à Old Dominion University à Norfolk, en Virginie, où elle a obtenu un baccalauréat ès sciences en biochimie. Amanda a obtenu sa commission dans la marine américaine en août 2013 et a fait rapport à la Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, en Floride, pour commencer sa formation de pilote naval.

Elle a suivi l'Aviation Preflight Indoctrinement (API) en Avril 2014 et a terminé la formation de vol primaire en novembre 2014 dans le T-6B Texan II au NAS Whiting Field tout en étant attaché au Training Squadron Two (VT-2) "Doerbirds". Ensuite, elle s'est rendue au NAS Kingsville, au Texas, où elle a terminé sont entraînement en vol intermédiaire et avancé dans le T-45C Goshawk tout en étant attaché au VT-22 "Golden Eagles".

Amanda Lee a été désigné aviateur naval en avril 2016. Après avoir gagné ses ailes d'or, Amanda a été intégré au Strike Fighter Squadron 106 (VFA-106) "Gladiators"a la NAS Oceana à Virginia Beach, Virginie, pour s'entraîner sur le F/A-18 Super Hornet. Sa première affectation à la flotte était avec le Strike Fighter Squadron 81 (VFA-81) "Sunliners" de la NAS Oceana, Virginie, où elle a effectué deux déploiements de combat à bord du porte-avions USS Harry S Truman (CVN-75) soutenant l'opération Inherent Resolve (OIR), l'opération Freedom Sentinel (OFS) et l'exercice Trident Juncture de l'OTAN. Parallèlement au vol, elle a occupé le poste d'officier des horaires, Officier du mess du café, officier de la division de ligne et normalisation de la formation et des procédures d'exploitation de l'aéronavale (NATOPS) Officier.

À la fin de son déploiement 2019-2020, Amanda est revenue au VFA-106 en tant qu'instructrice F/A-18 E/ Super Hornet, pilote (IP) pour former les aviateurs navals nouvellement ailés et les officiers de bord de la marine dans l'emploi tactique du Super Hornet. Tout au long de son séjour à VFA-106, Amanda a été agente des horaires, chef des opérations Représentant, officier de planification du détachement, officier de quart principal et chef d'équipe de démonstration de Rhino.

Amanda a rejoint les Blue Angels en septembre 2022. Elle cumule plus de 1 400 heures de vol et plus de 225 atterrissages arrêtés sur des porte-avions. Ses décorations comprennent quatre médailles d'honneur de la Marine et divers récompenses personnelles et unitaires.

About the location of the jonsa reunion in the Books, I was thinking about this question and there is something I found in my many re-reads that I never wrote about before, so maybe this is the perfect time for it.

I'm talking about the first paragraphs of the first AGOT Sansa chapter:

Eddard Stark had left before dawn, Septa Mordane informed Sansa as they broke their fast. "The king sent for him. Another hunt, I do believe. There are still wild aurochs in these lands, I am told." "I've never seen an aurochs," Sansa said, feeding a piece of bacon to Lady under the table. The direwolf took it from her hand, as delicate as a queen.

Septa Mordane sniffed in disapproval. "A noble lady does not feed dogs at her table," she said, breaking off another piece of comb and letting the honey drip down onto her bread. "She's not a dog, she's a direwolf," Sansa pointed out as Lady licked her fingers with a rough tongue. "Anyway, Father said we could keep them with us if we want."

There is a lot to say about these first paragraphs, starting for the name "Eddard Stark" being the first words in the first Sansa chapter of the first Book, because without a doubt Ned is the most important man in Sansa's life.

We also have the foreshadowing for the new Dawn after the Long Night, the Queen Sansa foreshadowing, the jonsa parallel with Ghost and Lady being fed under the table, and the parallel of King Robert hunting aurochs and later hunting the white stag, and finally the direwolves and aurochs being animals that still exist in the North and beyond.

But here I want to call your attention to Sansa saying "I've never seen an aurochs," because maybe she will be able to see an aurochs at the Wall or beyond.

Aurochs is a type of large wild cattle. They have shaggy hair. Aurochs once dwelled in the majority of Westeros. Because of hunting and domestication, however, they have dwindled in the wild and are not often seen. One place reportedly still inhabited by wild aurochs is near the juncture of the kingsroad  and the Green Fork of the Trident in the Riverlands. They still dwell beyond the Wall, where the free folk employ them to drag sledges. Aurochs are frequently used as a symbol of size, strength, stubbornness, and stupidity.

As you can see, there are aurochs i) near the juncture of the kingsroad and the Green Fork of the Trident; and, ii) beyond the Wall. But there is also an aurochs at the Wall or maybe more than one.

After saying in her first AGOT chapter that she has never seen an aurochs, Sansa is present in two feast where aurochs were roasted, so I suspect that when she said "I've never seen an aurochs" she was referring to a living aurochs.

So, to actually see a living aurochs, Sansa needs to return to the juncture of kingsroad and the Green Fork of Trident or go to the Wall and/or beyond.

Again, the expression "I've never seen an aurochs" makes me think that Sansa's wishes do come true, even though this is not expressed as a wish. But I still wonder, If Sansa got to have a mythological direwolf as an animal companion, why can't she see a living aurochs?

Then the possibility of the jonsa reunion happening at the Wall grows. Once at the Wall Sansa will be able to see some living aurochs, either beyond the Wall during some outing, or some of the aurochs the free folk brought with them when they crossed the Wall, or she can meet Grenn, AKA "Aurochs."

And that's it. Just a little speculation for this Sunday night.

WELCOME TO THE RIVER MARKET!

HISTORY

Known to all, the region of The Riverlands is located at a critical juncture of The Realm, bordering The Reach, The Westerlands, The Crownlands, The Vale, and The North, and shares its coast with The Iron Islands. Because of the central location and The Trident, the region is often treated as a pathway for war, and over the centuries has seen a great number of different people and cultures across all corners of Westeros. With this in mind, The River Market was founded three generations ago by the great-great grandfather of King Casimir Tully. Once a central point for trade, The River Market saw a dangerous decline during the Dance of Dragons. While originally funded exclusively by House Tully, funds were pulled from The River Market to relocate them to war efforts, and was then overseen by House Frey. During this time, a black market was established within The River Market, and saw a decrease in traditional commerce. Now that The Riverlands is moving away from war efforts and House Tully has become a Royal House, King Casimir has reclaimed The River Market and opened its trade routes almost exclusively to members of the Green Alliance, though some traders from other regions has been allowed, and the market is on the path back to its former glory. 

The River Market is located east of Riverrun within The Trident where the great river splits into The Red Fork, The Blue Fork, and The Green Fork.

THE MARKET

The River Market has four distinct districts that make up the trading hub. Over the years, each District has developed its own niche, and merchants and tradesmen of similar means have gravitated towards the same location. This has caused each of the districts to have a unique trading culture, individual to each other, and the products available to buy and sell are unlikely to be found in any other district. Merchants and tradesmen from all over Westeros do their business here, and is often the only way some regions have access to delicacies and uniquely crafted items from abroad. Inns and taverns located in the three business districts are available for short term stays. Each of the districts is about a mile from the other, and while trading boats are constantly moving back and forth, passenger ships leave from The Isle of Commerce every hour. After dark, passenger ships leave every fourth hour until daybreak.

THE ISLE OF COMMERCE 

The entrance point of The River Market. It is here that all inventories are reviewed, traders and merchants pay taxes, and prices for bulk goods are set. If someone intends to trade within The River Market, they must travel here first before venturing into the rest of the districts.  All buildings are owned by House Tully, but permanent shops may be rented or leased for extended periods of time via The Isle of Commerce, and owners of temporary stalls, carts, etc must apply for a permit on the Isle. While The River Market is often compared to a small city, private owned residences are not allowed. Instead, merchants, tradesmen, and the occasional noble may rent from a small selection of townhouses located in each district for extended periods of time to oversee their business ventures. Some townhouses have been leased for several decades, creating a sort of “second home” for some individuals or families. 

When leaving The River Market, you must declare all your goods at The Isle of Commerce.

THE RED DISTRICT 

Originally, The Red District was where merchants of medicinal goods congregated. Here, you can still find a plethora of apothecaries, alchemists, and providers of medical tools, but under Frey jurisdiction, The Red District has become the focal point of the rougher side of The River Market. Now, The Red District is home to taverns, breweries, brothels, and when no one is looking? Stolen goods, poisons, and all things illegal. The Red District also sports something the locals have dubbed the Red Docks, where a series of docks on the south end have been transformed into a small floating community where even the seediest of traders are hesitant to venture.

It is from the Red Docks that many illegal goods are smuggled past the Isle of Commerce

THE BLUE DISTRICT 

The Blue District is something of an artistic adventure, for it is here that people with trades have congregated to sell their skills alongside their wares. This district is made mostly of tradesmen such as blacksmiths, jewelers, tailors, glassblowers, carpenters and woodworkers, bronze smiths, painters, and other artisans and the occasional musician’s guild. The Blue District is vibrant in both environment and the people who do business there, though is said to be a touch loud, as it is one of the busier districts out of the three. It even the workplace to a smith who can work Valyrian Steel.

The most notable investor in The Blue District is King Cedric Tyrell of The Reach. 

THE GREEN DISTRICT

The Green District sees the most practical trade of the three business districts, and it is here that you can find grains, exotic fruits, fresh fish and meats, as well as butchers, bakers, spice vendors, and other businesses and market stalls associated with food and animal stock. Food vendors have popped up over the years, as well as more permanent venues for eating, and showcases unique foods from all over Westeros.
