Sleepy 1:30 am OC ramble tiiiiiiime
I've got a group of super powered teenagers because I wanted to explore the dynamics of baby superhero teams and what happens when the former teen heroes grow up and realize there's a new generation of loud spunky twerps who want to help
And I set them up about 20-25 in-story years ahead of what I think of as the present in comics (my baseline is... 20-30ish irl years ago bc I'm still playing catch-up here) because I felt like that would put them far enough ahead to not mess with the timeline, but also not so far ahead that they interrupted canon. Nice little window of ambiguity
Anyway, the three of them I can talk about without a lot of context:
🛡️🟥 [???] | Liora of Kandor - A young girl who spent sixteenish years living in the infamous Bottled City. As part of the Labor Guild, she had a clear window into the city's infrastructure and resource management. She knows they can't live in the bottle forever, and the longer they try to stay and wait for Kal to find a solution, the more strain will be placed on the city and the people. They're already losing biodiversity. Unrest is growing. Something has to be done, or they won't last another two generations. So, after getting kicked out by her father and a protest-turned-riot, Liora leaves the bottle. She vows she won't return until she's found a solution.
🟦🤸 Madcap | Blythe [???] - Blythe is the daughter of supervillains, though I haven't settled on who yet. But part of the deal for their pardon was that they live ordinary civilian lives. Blythe -- genius, engineering prodigy, talented acrobat, sweetheart with more empathy than sense -- decided there was a loophole. She did not exist at the time of this deal, and she had sworn no such oaths. Therefore she was able to do what her parents could not, and decided to start making amends for her family's more criminal actions. She's not ashamed of her family by any means, but she has to keep these two parts of her life separate, or they all go to jail.
🟩⚡ Trent [???] | Kickstart - Three years ago, he was a normal teenage boy who chased after his baby sister, Audra, when the little girl tried to run off. As soon as they were out of their parents sight, unfortunately, both children were kidnapped. They were subjected to experiments that Trent couldn't understand, even if he hadn't spent most of those three years in an anesthetic haze. But the experiments gave both of them abilities beyond human capabilities -- Trent became a speedster, and Audra unlocked phenomenal aerokinetic abilities. When Trent was finally awake, his advanced metabolism burning through the anesthesia... There wasn't much left of the lab when the storm was finally over. He grabbed Audra and the two found their way home -- only to discover their parents had moved away in the time they were gone. Now Trent doesn't really know what to do -- he's got no money, nowhere to go, and a little sister to take care of. Also they have superpowers. And he's seventeen.
...it is now. 2:35. I have been typing this for an hour. I should proooooobably sleep now, huh?

Day 7: Oh Christmas Tree- Trent Alexander-Arnold 🎁
This idea popped into my head last minute and It's honestly one of the cutest ideas I have ever had!!! Hope you all enjoy it! (Sorry its short!)
Tumblr media
Summary: After ending up doing an emergency shift in work... It's all down to Trent & your twin toddlers to set up the tree this year...
Prompt: “Oh my God, what did you do to that poor Christmas tree?”
(Not proofread!)
"You what!" Trent exhaled as he watched you quickly shuffle through the kitchen, blouse slightly unbuttoned as you hopped around with one shoe "why do you have to go in...? Can rose not to do it...!"
He knew you loved your job, that being one of the reasons why you wouldn't leave despite him telling you his wages cover all the costs for the family! But he thought today... being a rare day off for the two of you would finally be the day where you would be able to decorate your house for the festive season. Over the years, you and T took deep pride in your decorating, family and friends always complimenting how much effort and time you both took to create such a festive feel. The pride only grew once you welcomed your two little boys, Drew & Colbie, you both always wanted to make the house feel cosy and welcoming despite them not really knowing what was going on! However, now they are 4, they were finally the age where they could understand the joy of Christmas and we're both fascinated by the number of different decorations that were scattered around the house!
"I'm sorry baby... but they really need me! I can't let them down again... I already owe them like 1000 shifts...!" You sighed, giving your little boys one last kiss before wrapping your arms around your husband's neck, leaving a final kiss on his pouted lips "You'll be fine darling... just pass them a couple of those breakproof baubles and a cuddly Santa and they won't even bother you..."
Today was supposed to be the day where you decorated the sacred Alexander-Arnold tree, the tree which was passed down to newly wedded families in the Alexander- Arnold family. However, now that you were leaving for a couple of hours & there not being another day before Christmas for the tree to be decorated, he knew that it was down to him to tame his two little monsters while he decorated it alone for the first time in 5 years!
Raising an eyebrow, he tilted his head over to the little boys "Baby... Have you met the little rascals... I mean look!" Turning your head you couldn't help but chuckle as you watched Drew & Colbie tipping over their porridge over each other as they laughed about how silly they looked "And you're telling me they will behave with a couple of baubles and a stuffed Santa..."
"They will be fine baby..." You sighed, grabbing your keys as you threw him the packet of wipes "Just make sure they're all clean before they touch the decorations.... love you!" You chuckled as you ran out the front door, leaving Trent alone as his two little lookalikes charged through the kitchen.
"Yeah... love you too..." He muttered, rubbing his head as he tried to figure out how hell he was gonna control two 4-year-olds in front of a bunch of shiny decorations!
--------
"Right boys!" He clapped, picking up Colbie as he playful threw him next to drew on the sofa "This..." swaying his arm to point in the decoration of the tree "Is very important to mummy... & I need you both to be big boys and listen to daddy's instructions okay...?"
"Can we help with the insel?" Drew asked, his little scouse accent starting to appear as he watched his dad in admiration "romise we'll be good!"
"Fine..." Trent chuckled, telling his sons to follow him to the box of decorations "But if you mess around with it, you are not helping & I'll ring Santa to let him know!" The little boy's eyes grew wide as they listen to their dads 'threatening words', nodding their heads nervously "Good! Let's make this tree look good for Santa... Yeah?"
"Yes!" They both cheered, high fiving Trent as they listened to his instructions and surprisingly to start with it was going well! Drew and Colbie sat with the Frenchie's as Trent untangled the fairy lights, However, the minute they were cleared to help out... Chaos broke! Tinsel flew everywhere as they messily wrapped it across the tree, pieces snapping aggressively as they wrestled over who was holding each piece!
"Boys enough!" Trent yelled as he grabbed the gold tinsel away from the twins, pouts appearing on their faces as they tried to object "No! Enough! what did I say about messing around!?"
"Sorry, daddy..." They muttered, eyes filling with tears that instantly warmed Trent's heart. He knew that he needed to be a bit stern with them to keep them grounded, but how could he when they look so cute and innocent... the perfect mixture of you and him!
"It's fine..." Trent sighed, placing the Tinsel down as he grabbed your sacred 'unbreakable' baubles "But I do think that's enough with the tinsel now... How about we get some baubles on it..?"
"Yes! Please! I want one! Daddy me first! Please!"
"Wait listen... before we turn silly... these are mummy's favourite decorations so we have to be careful with them.. okay?"
"Okay, daddy!"
However, despite Trent's clear words, the instructions didn't last long... baubles dropping everywhere as they literally threw them on the tree and despite their 'unbreakable' claim, they shattered across the floor. Not having the energy to yell at them, Trent allowed them to continue 'decorating' the tree, knowing full well that he was gonna have to fix it before you came in... However, that plan left the window as soon as he heard the front door slam shut...
"I'm back...." You sang before stopping in your tracks, eyes going wide as you witnessed the sight in front of you "Oh my god!! What did you do to the poor tree?" You gasped. Drew and Colbie raced over to you, excited words letting you know exactly what they have done to the tree.
"... We put tinsel on it and then daddy let us put some of your special aubles on it, but we did break some..." Your eyes went wide at this claim, glaring at Trent as he mouthed a quick 'sorry' but you remained speechless.
"Do you like it, mummy?" Drew pouted, eyes wide in anticipation as he waited for his mum's approval "Urm.. yeah.. darling. It's umm gorgeous"
"Mummy thinks it's that good she's speechless!" Trent chuckled, causing you to glare at him harder "Yes... daddy's right! I am speechless...."
"And were not even done yet!" They cheered, racing off as they continued to throw decorations on. Sighing you made your way over to your amused husband, hitting his chest as you buried your head in his neck "Why did I think this was a good idea...."
"I did tell you- ouch!" Trent giggled as you pinched his back, lifting your head up as you hissed "Now's not the time for I told you so's!... when are tree's looking like It's been through a god damn storm!"
"It's not that bad...."
"Is it not...!" You giggled, turning your head right at the moment the tree was gonna tip...
"No! No! Enough!" Trent screamed, racing towards the tree as you watched in amusement but also horror as it toppled over....
"Okay it's bad!" Trent groaned, glaring at you as you continued to giggle... "Were gonna have to redo it aren't we..."
"I think we are baby.... we definitely are!"
