Elain’s power /abilities and hints

Seer gift

Given image about past, present and future of a certain situation that seems vital to be told at the moment. Once the image/ vision have been solved Elain’s eyes turn clear again.

Could hear something distant and small ( earthworm in the soil , heartbeat through the wall, crashing sea)

If planted image in her mind, she could find and trace it. Eg: Finding suriel for Feyre

Shadow manipulator

I’m not saying she’s a shadowsinger like Azriel but the fact that she ‘ stepped out of the shadows’ give me really questionable thoughts. Firstly, how does she do that?? Is it from truth teller or Azriel helping her. Azriel were busy fighting in the war at that time and if the shadows comes with truth teller does it means anyone that possessed the knife could do the same? My conclusion is that Azriel’s shadow bent to Elain’s command ( protect her as they were with Azriel)

We see several scene where the shadow trying to protect and respond to Elain.

That smile grew, bright enough that it lit up even Azriel’s shadows across the room.

We know that the shadow is like Az’s bestie and will act according to his emotion. But in this scene the shadow lit up when Elain’s smile. Noted that Elain’s smile are described as ‘bright’. The brighter the light, the darker the shadow. Shadow exist because the presence of light. Azriel is the darkness thats why he befriended the shadow because they understood each other. So, i conclude that Both shadow and Azriel attracted/ like /feel the need to protect Elain.

Azriel said coolly, “I don’t need to resort to threats.” The shadows coiled around him, snakes ready to strike.

Nesta saw the blow land, like a physical impact, in Elain’s face, her posture. No one spoke, though shadows gathered in the corners of the room, like snakes preparing to strike.

The shadow respond the same with Elain and Azriel

Elain stepped out of a shadow behind him, and rammed Truth-Teller to the hilt through the back of the king’s neck as she snarled in his ear, “Don’t you touch my sister.”

My conclusion is that, Elain saw vision of the Hybern King ready to kill Nessian. She doesn’t know how to get there thus the shadow help to winnow her. I dont know if the shadow can winnow just anyone but from the book they need Azriel presence to complete the winnow process. The fact Elain alone can winnow via the shadow is really sus imo🤔

Az, too—in the strange way that Az could move through the world without technically winnowing.

So Az didn’t actully winnow like how mor and Rhys does but in a strange way. And Elain other that Azriel had done the same. Move through shadows. And remember that Elain wish to go to different continent to sees flowers from tulip fields?? Az can move through the world yall!!

Stealth

In acosf we knew that Elain start to become stealthier. Several time it was mention and Nesta assume she took lesson from either Az or N&C.

Stealthy: Marked by or acting with quiet, caution, and secrecy intended to avoid notice.

This seriously screams spy behaviour to me. Why on earth does Elain decided to become more stealth. Does she sees this as vital for future purpose from her vision?? or maybe she just want to learn it as self defense but either way both were connected with Azriel.

“Elain was the only one who guessed. She caught me vomiting two mornings in a row.” She nodded toward Azriel. “I think she’s got you beat for secret-keeping.”

Elain is described as secretive fits well with the stealth definition. And Againn the chemistry between Az and Elain they both can keep secret now😏 ( Spy couple me think)

Observant

Elain said. “I just observed.” Nesta was wrong, Cassian realized, to think Elain as loyal and loving as a dog. Elain saw every single thing Nesta had done, and understood why.

Elain’s large brown eyes flickered, well aware of all that. Just as he knew she well aware of why Azriel so rarely come to family dinners these days

“yes,” Elain breathed, like she read the decision

The point are that Elain can deduce one wants or emotion just by observing. Not to mention in present buying they especially will buy something that actually what the receivers will like ( headaches powder, ear blob, cute ass necklace and glowing bookmark)

Elain cocked her head. Didn’t dissolve into the crying mess she usually became when Graysen came up. Instead she said, “You’re angry with me.”

Elain cocked her head, as if listening to some inner voice. “Yes.”

Elain’s brows twitched toward each other. “The queen—with the feathers of flame.” The shadowsinger angled his head.

Is it me or these two will naturally move their heads if they are thinking or try to figure out something??

Charmer

Elain is described as the most beautiful of the sisters. The infamous quote “Hers was a face that could bring kings to their knees.” really emphasised on how beutiful she is and sjm make sure we remember it as it was always mention in every book.

It took hours for Elain to work her charm on the staff to swiftly pack their bags and leave,

There wasn’t a servant or gardener who didn’t smile at her, and even the brusque head cook found excuses to bring her plates of cookies and tarts at various points in the day.

she had purpose, and joy, and friends: those two half-wraiths who worked in Rhysand’s household. But those things had always come easily to her sister. Had always made Elain special.

Elain are easily love by everyone in the book ( but not from the fandom😟). People with poor attitude find reason to be nice to her. She has an infectious joy, the moving light that spread positivity. This will be an important element to carry out mission, to convince people to trust her, making alliance and how Feyre mention that Elriel are the most civilised people in the room.

So we can see that Elain have many thing going on for her that we will discover further in her book. There is a post saying that Elain will not be like Feyre and Nesta, they train and become a fighter but instead, Elain can use her abilities without need to fight at all. I agreed to that but of course she need to learn one or two things to defend herself but not straight Valkyrie training. Most people think that you’ll have power if you can fight well but remember that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

The fact that Elain is a seer that knows everything and will be really useful in war for example: know the size, location of an army, finding someone important and have vision of something about to come is powerful. Correct me if l’m wrong, Elain’s power only had been known by the IC, other court doesn’t know about it. Imagine if they did, they will fight for her knowing having a seer could certainly give them advantages. And to add into the mix, she is a spy in training.

This is my headcanon: I want Elain to be the official assassin for the NC. She can kill well if i’ not mistaken (The main reason why Hybern’s dead because he didn’t hear Elain’s coming. She was unexpected). You see..Elain can trace / find people easily, can walk through shadow, quiet as a mouse and can kill well.. Not to mention through her seer gift maybe she can predict enemies next moves😱. Elain will be the walking judge a book by its cover: sweet on the outside but deadly in the inside. Enemies will not see her coming.

Yeah and also she is a gardener right, what if she became Madja apprentice for poison making or discover instant cure for ash arrow that can only be found in the forest. Elain’s touch is life itself, she can plant anything she wants. Sorry for the long post🥰

Prompt: Ending her relationship with Scott was easy, standing up before her authoritarian and manipulating father was also easy. In this new chapter of her life Hayley must learn that marrying Kamilah also meant marrying Ahmanet Financial and with that comes with all the attention and pursuit of the media as a new sociliate married to one of America's most powerful women. When one day a pipe causes a flood in her old apartment, her former housemate and best friend needs a place to stay. Lily ends up moving to Kamilah's penthouse, suddenly privacy becomes something precious and rare, clothes and food pop up around the house and one of Kamilah's precious furniture appears accidentally broken. Now Hayley has to deal with this new challenge of having her best friend in the same house with her wife and dealing with the new life of being the new sociliate of New York.

Hayley Pov

"What do you think you're doing here, Scott?" Hayley looked at both her parents for answers. Her mother tried to keep her calm to not cause a scene in the restaurant, while her father remained calm as the meeting with Scott had not shaken him.

"Sit down, Hayley. Everyone is looking.” Robert said taking a sip of his glass of red wine. Hayley clenched her fists furiously, thinking how she was stupid enough to believe this was just a family dinner when it was actually an excuse to get her back to Scott.

"Hell no." She bit her lips and turned to leave, But she only managed to take a few steps before her father's voice reached her ears again, stronger than ever.

"I would not leave the restaurant if I were you. Do you know that important meeting your wife is in? The clients are my associates, and it would be a waste of a good deal with Ahmanet Financial if I gave them a call and they left. You want this? Do you want her to lose a millionaire contract?"

He used the perfect excuse for Kamilah not to show up. He used his best resources to keep her from coming here. Reluctant and disgusted, Hayley sat in the chair facing Scott.

"Honey, we just want to talk." Her mother said touching her hand lightly.

"Are you with him now, Mother? I thought you told me to be happy with who I loved.” Hayley sighed, staring at the plate on the table. Her mom had come so easily back to his side, she did not know why she was still surprised by this whole situation.

"I'm not on anyone's side, Hayley. I just want us to be a family. No more fighting, no more silly arguments.” She scolded her.

"So Kamilah should be here and not Scott," Hayley said firmly looking deep into her father's eyes. She saw his lips contract and as he rolled his eyes only the mention of the name. "She's part of this family as much as I am."

"Stop acting like a child. This madness you call marriage will not last. Her relationship with you did not last before, it was an impulsive and childish act to have married her. Just the actions of a teenager.” Robert said.

"I'm a grown woman who knows my actions well and being married to her was one of the best things I've ever done. Not that you'll ever understand, but she makes me happy.” Hayley retorted.

"Now you two come. We came here to just talk and stop that immaturity of you once and for all.” Her mother looked at both of them.

"And what is Scott doing here then?" Hayley gestured angrily to the one sitting opposite at her at the table watching the heated argument.

"I'm glad you finally asked a decent question." Robert said. "We invite Scott to dine with us because he is important to us and we have news."

"Wait, wait. So any guy you hired and ordered to marry me in London and who I spent years believing was the one guy in my life while I was being cheated on by you guys is more important than my wife ?! What the hell?” Hayley paused, looking at both of them.

"You know I love Kamilah, she's like a daughter to me. Though I think she's too old for you, but we've lived with Scott for a long time, too.” Her mother said.

Hayley rolled her eyes.

"...And I care about you, Hayley. I honestly do. I would do anything to get our relationship back. You meant so much to me, it still means.” He said with those sad eyes, Hayley huffed indignantly not believing a word. False.

"Tell that to someone who cares."

"Regardless of our disagreements over your love life and your life choices, I'm happy with the news that my friends at the Hospital bring. They say you are a formidable doctor, of course I did expect you to be, you’re my daughter.” Robert continued his lewdness too proud to see the problem in front of him. "Tell her, son. Tell her the news we bring.” Robert touched Scott's shoulder.

"Me and your dad talked and we arranged this dinner to tell you that I'll be moving to New York. I got a place at Mount Sinai Hospital, Hayley. We're going to work together, is not it great? "He smiled excitedly.

"You—What?" Hayley stared indignantly.

Kamilah's Penthouse

"No, no. This is wrong. That's very wrong,” Hayley said as she paced the apartment. Kamilah sat quietly across the room, her notebook on the table. She had not said a word as Hayley told her what had happened that night. "They deceived me, made me think they wanted to make amends when in fact they're throwing Scott at me again!" She ran her hands exasperated in her blond hair, glanced at Kamilah, and noticed that she was silent with her eyes turned to the window.

"Kam?" Hayley called her.

No response.

“Kamilah?” She tried again.

"... I suppose it makes sense. Your parents never supported our relationship, they were expected to get Scott back into your life, "she said quietly. Hayley stopped looking at her, she was quiet and with a look that Hayley knew well.

"Babe? Are you okay?” Hayley approached slowly, still studying her features.

"It was a long meeting." Kamilah gave a weak smile in return. "I have to make some calls. You must be tired, it's been a long day. I'll see you in the bedroom, okay?” Kamilah got up and left the room so fast she did not get a chance to say anything more.

What she didn’t know was what actully was happening.

Kamilah pov.

She could feel him, he was getting closer and closer. Even in her dreams, she was not strong enough, strong enough to stop him. Strong enough to keep him from harming anyone she loved. Someone she could not bear to lose, and he knew it. He always knew when she was loving someone when a new person had come into her life. He ruined everything, was all he knew to do for centuries.

Maybe that was her karma after so many bad things she had done in her life. So many people she had killed and taken the blood. Maybe her karma would always lose someone to him. And if there really was a god, he would not allow such atrocity to happen, would not allow more lives to be taken by him. But he would never answer her call, ever.

She ran barefoot through the dark forest, what was her suit were now only the remains of a black jacket and a bloodstained white shirt, even with her inhuman speed, she was not fast enough to run from him, she knew that.

"Kamilah?" That familiar voice called out. Kamilah stopped halfway, looking back, seeing that shadow through the trees. Him. She could see the dark smile on his face and the laughter forming in his throat.

Her feet ran again, she needed to find Adrian and Hayley. Where was she? She needed to protect the only thing that mattered in her life, the only thing she could not live through. Her wife.

But before she could take another step, she nearly tripped over her own feet as she saw a body in front of her. A body on the forest floor among the leaves of an old oak tree. It was Hayley, her throat was torn. Kamilah's blood froze, for an instant, she thought she was hallucinating. She thought she was seeing things, but Hayley was so real. The first steps were hesitant before she fell to the floor beside her body, sobbing and gripping the cold, dead body of her wife.

"No, no! Please... Please, Hayley.” She touched Hayley's cold cheeks hoping that by some miracle, she would open those gorgeous green eyes. But that would not happen, she felt her chest tight and the lack of air was eminent, instead of the sadness the anger had filled with fervor. As Kamilah hugged her wife's dead body, something as fast as a bullet pushed her away from the one thing she loved.

Before Kamilah could respond, she was stuck against the oak tree. Hanging by the neck with Gaius's hands tightening her throat. Gaius's somber smile had returned, and his blue eyes glowed with malice. Kamilah was staring at Hayley's body before turning her eyes to the monster in front of her.

"Why are you running my queen?" That terrible voice sounded through the trees.

That night Kamilah opened her eyes widened with fear, sitting up in bed hurrying, gasping for breath, red eyes focused on her bedroom door. When she realized there was no apparent threat at that moment, she ran her hand over her face and hair, leaning against the head of the bed and taking time to calm down.

Her eyes turned to Hayley, the first thing she thought of then. The one thing she wanted to keep safe. Hayley slept in deep sleep beside her on the bed, even with her sudden awakening, that had not awakened her. Soon Kamilah thought the fact that the girl spent hours on shifts at the hospital made her enjoy a good night's sleep and she would not wake up so easily.

Kamilah touched her back and kissed her hair gently. She got up and searched for her black robe that was on an armchair in the corner of the room. Kamilah dressed him and left the room quietly.

She found herself with a bottle of whiskey waiting for her at her bar. She prepared a quick cocktail and leaned over the kitchen counter, staring at the walls bitterly, her eyes went to the ring on her finger, she removed the ring and began to look it. How such a small thing carried so great a significance and how it took decades before she met someone who made her want such a commitment. She never thought she'd feel it again and that Hayley would give her a second chance.

At that moment the front door opened silently revealing a not-so-sober Lily carrying her boots into her hands and a drunken smile that soon changed as she came face to face with the CEO in the kitchen.

"Jesus, Kamilah! You scared the hell out of me now” She touched her own chest trying to keep her voice down.

"You really should be scared. You have been out all night.” Kamilah said softly still with her ring in her hands.

"And why the hell are you standing there drinking in the dark? Is this part of the CEO's manual? Drink contemplating your own existence in the dark? "

"Very funny, Lily." Kamilah returned her ring to its proper place. She would not tell Lily that she had something so simple as a nightmare. She was not in the mood to listen to gamer jokes at that moment. "I just wanted to drink it now."

"And you could not turn the lights on?"

"I did not want to wake my wife.”

“So... How was the dinner with your family?”

Kamilah cursed under her breath.

“Not so well I see” Lily said. “Don’t worry about her parents, they don’t like anybody. It’s not personal.”

“I’m not trying to impress them. I don’t need them to approve our relationship, if I have Hayley’s love that’s all that I need.” Kamilah said.

“Well... You’re a big softie under this ice exterior, hm?” Lily laughed taking a ice gaze from Kamilah.

“You should go to bed, I'll do the same” Kamilah said, drinking the rest of her drink and disappearing into her office before Lily could say anything else. She pulled her cell phone off the desk and dialed Adrian's number. "Adrian? We need to talk. Something happened."

That dream was a warning, she knew it, she knew it could only mean one thing. He was back.

(omg the pics are GORGEOUS. Like, Wow. Once I’m done writing this message I’m probably going to go back to stare at them for like an hour and silently scream over how awesome everything looks)

Don’t worry about it, I admit that Stoki is pretty much a crack ship ^^;;

And, well, the redemption fic I mentioned helped me fall deeper into Stoki hell, but I shipped it even before that XD I think part of it is just because I think they could have a really interesting dynamic- they’re just so different, complete opposites. Steve would confuse Loki so much tbh

Also, I just think that Steve (or at least, post-CW Steve) might be one of the avengers most willing to at least try to understand Loki. Partly because Steve’s just a nice guy, and then because of his relationship with Bucky- ‘cause Steve-Bucky and Thor-Loki are really, really similar and I think Steve would realize that.

And then like I said, Steve cares a lot about other people. If Thor ever told him about everything that happened between him and Loki Steve probably wouldn’t have too much difficulty in starting to see Loki as a human(?) being instead of some one-dimensional fairy tale villain.

Lastly, I feel like Steve is just the best person to handle Loki’s issues. He may not be able to personally relate to a lot of it (Tony, Bruce, maybe Natasha would be better for that) but he can take a step back and think rationally about the situation, help convince Loki that just because the rest of the world sees him as a monster, doesn’t mean he has to be one.

btw, can I ask what you think about T'challa? He doesn’t seem to have that many fans yet but I think he’s really cool and possibly one of the more sensible people in the CW movie (once he stops being furious at Bucky). Also the trailer for his new movie is epic and I can’t wait to see his sister…

Hisoillu is bizarre (sadistic murdery Clown with no sense of fashion + sadistic murdery needle guy with dead fish eyes) but also makes a lot of sense at the same time? Like, Hisoka got away with joking about killing Killua in front of Illumi, so…yeah. They’ve got something special LOL

Why do I want these memes to be a thing

With the new revelation about who Touka was visiting at the hospital, I’m beginning to have my doubts about how this will end…maybe they might actually both survive for now???

But I’m a bit miserable rn because if one of them has to die I’d rather keep Juuzou too but it seems much more likely for Touka to survive. She’s like the main female lead, plus she has Kaneki’s baby…

(Also: Wow, way to go Kaneki, you finally started acting like an actual leader (in a way)! But can I just say, what absolutely perfect timing)

WTH I had no idea Soul Eater’s art style developed that much???!!! That’s actually pretty amazing! (And yeah, I know that SE has some pretty complex characters and interesting stories in it :D it’s just still a lot lighter and has different themes from the mangas I usually enjoy ^^ I might try it out though!)

Death The Kid seems really cool! (does he really have OCD in canon, though? Like, I’ve seen a lot of Soul Eater fans talking like he does but idk if it’s actually a thing? Maybe I sound weird but it just seems insensitive to say characters like DTK and Levi have 'OCD’ and talking about it jokingly when it’s actually incredibly difficult and stressful for people who actully have OCD, so I’m not sure how to feel about those fans)

Yay! Gotta go and try to find that fight scene now…

(But hey, don’t be too sad (what’s this? Is Evans actually COMFORTING Queen Luna for once instead of rubbing salt in the wound?!)! There’s always the book Death Note: Another Note (The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases)- it’s a prequel to the Death Note manga/anime with L chasing a murderer known as Beyond Birthday (…no comment on that alias). It also shows how he met Naomi Misora which is awesome if you like Naomi (I did, and kinda screamed when Light kiled her))

Eh, I think I’m one of the few people who doesn’t mind it being set in America because what’s the point of making an American adaptation if it’s going to be set in Japan anyway? I also don’t really have a problem with 'white-washing’ for this same reason (though I am disappointed because being Japanese-American would have added an interesting layer to Light’s character; despite fighting for justice, in canon, LIght’s never actually been victimized or discriminated against. He’s a handsome, intelligent young man who appears to be cisgender and heterosexual (even if it’s never confirmed) and is Japanese, just like everyone else around him. Japanese-American Light, on the other hand, would have really experienced how the 'rotten’ world could hurt people, so his acts as Kira might have more personal emotion in them)…like, it’s possible to cast a white actor as Light without it being white-washing, and since they changed the entire setting I think it’s fine to change other things too. Just, I’m cool with anything as long as they portrayed Light’s character properly…BUT THEY DIDN’T SO

I’m really just disappointed that they botched the characters and all the themes of the original Death Note story so badly. Sure, change the setting, change the circumstances, change the plot, changehe designs, but why did you have to take Death Note’s philosophy away?

But, because I might have been a bit too mean:

I will say that the movie LOOKS really good. The visuals are great. The soundtrack seems decent too. Also, though Ryuk’s motivations/role also weren’t done very well, Ryuk’s actor did an amazing job…and while I’m not happy with how L was portrayed in this movie, I do think that the actor they cast for him could have been a good L if not for the bad writing.

Well…from what I know, Light Turner ends up in a hospital at the end of the movie with his One True Love Mia(Misa) dead, so nah. The Keikaku failed.

For most people, they start going to elementary at seven (in international age) as far as I know, and then go to middle school at around thirteen. Then high school at…um…sixteen? Maybe? I’ve never really gone to school here so I might not be 100% correct but it’s something like that ^^;;

HNNNNNNNNGH have i ever told you how much i hate school? because i freaking hate school from the bottom of my heart i can’t feel my neck anymore from the amount of studying ive been doing that’s depressing.

anyway. heartfelt advice: do not fuck your stomach up in any way, because you will suffer if you do. take it from me, i’ve managed to develop this amazing thing called Gastritis and now i cant eat anything without getting the feeling that im gonna throw it back out which is absolutely wonderful. thankfully, i don’t throw up, but it’s freaking annoying and ive lost waay too much weight already. best part? the whole reason why i have it is apparently purely psychological, too much stress. i got it in the middle of july. HOW my mom is also being INCREDIBLY helpful by basically telling me to ‘get over it’ like i can just snap my fingers and tell myself ‘oh yeah this is only in my head’ and it’ll all pass over. cause that’s how it works. so is my sister by always laughing at me

yep, school started and i am suffering. ive already gone through 4 tests and a bunch of oral quizzes. yay. thanks teachers for totally not putting horrible pressure on us from the start. i stg, one of my most common thoughts these days is ‘see, this is exactly why i have a psychosomatic sickness.’ they’re sending my to a psychologist to see if i can let everything out and maybe get some advice on how to handle things better. i will laugh my ass off if i get diagnosed with a mental disorder. that’d be absolutely hilarious (I am in no way trying to make fun of people with a mental disorder, I’m just saying I honestly wouldn’t even be surprised if they said something like Burnout Syndrome or Depression (im not even joking when I say that I’ve been sleeping pretty much all afternoon + night these days, cry way too often, feel no motivation for anything, feel worthless, no apetite and also occasional suicidal thoughts which is oh so fun (ok but in my defence, the thoughts are really rare, probably caused by the fact that I feel nauseous like 90% of the time, and I would never ever do it, mostly because some people would miss me (I hope). there are moments when I go ‘wouldn’t it be easier to disappear?’ tho))

Yeah, Norway was truly gorgeous ^^ I don’t think I’ve ever felt more at peace than then. I fell asleep in the car at one point while watching the scenery outside, and it was one of the best sleeps in my life, despite being in the car. Well, uh, it’s kinda hard to explain? I mean, DTK is obsessed with symmetry and will go to crazy lengths to preserve it, get mad if someone disturbs it, will jeopardise missions if he’s not sure if he left something perfectly symmetrically at home etc, but it’s not so much as a mental illness as it is a consequence of who he is (part of the Grim Reaper)? Like i said, it’s really had to explain.

Uuuuuh *quickly googles gem meanings* ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA. I like Zircon because of the colour and alexandrite because it changes colour which is incredibly cool!
