She was, if only a tad, bit concerned. After all, he seemed to usually be a light and bubbly person, in a way. Something about his aura... But it felt different right now. Looking up at him, her lips parted for a moment, before she thought about it a little.

Eventually, she ended up writing in her notebook. 'Do you want to go and do something, then? Bowling, maybe?'

The girl found herself staring in slight surprise. She knew that there were other kinds of magic than what she specialized in, but it was rare for her to come across anyone who knew in that regard. Magic was a pretty particular thing, and while she wasn't the best at it, it was still easy to tell when someone knew what they were doing. Quickly grabbing her translating tablet, she spoke. '. . . Do you?'

All she really wanted was to get her hat back, was all. . . 'Would it be alright to request assistance?'

The motions that had been committed to the mechanical being made it blink, before moving to look over toward the source of the patting. Once the other was identified within her files, she found herself smiling with her faceplates. "Welcome back, Beryl. How was your night? I assume it was good, given the smile on your face."

She wasn't sure why he looked the way he did, but as long as he was pleased, that was what mattered, considering everything. "We have a long day ahead of us, there is a party scheduled within the Center that will begin at three in the afternoon. This room will once again be the designated safe space for the complex during those hours. Please make sure that the kits for overstimulated and panicking children are ready at a moment's notice."

She had found herself suddenly in the presence of the person she considered to be akin to a brother, at this point. He hangs out with her when Louis is busy or she's escaping him for a time. She had just been waiting for the mentioned brother to finish up something he was doing so she could walk home with him.

But after that initial moment of surprise, she found herself nodding, leaning up against the other in relief. She always felt so stressed when she was on her own in public like this, so it felt nice to have someone she trusted with her for the time being...
