Day 17 Naoshima! Planned to go Inujima but boats were cancelled due to bad weather. Roamed around Honmura Art House Project, Ando Museum and some other sites. Also went to Kitahama Alley at the port to find other art site stamps.
第17天去直岛!本来想去犬岛结果风太大航班都取消。逛了安藤博物馆，本村家计划等作品。回到高松港再去北浜找作品盖章。

Naoshima (mer intérieur de Seto)

Ile de Naoshima dans la mer de Seto, au centre du Japon. Se trouvent, dans ce petit archipel d’iles, plusieurs musées d’art contemporain construit dans la nature luxuriante et en bord de mer.
De nombreuses oeuvres sont visibles dans les parc et jardin. Des sculptures de Nikki de Saint Phalle, Yayoi Kusama, Lee Ufan,etc. Notamment, sur cette ile, se trouve le musée d’Art Chichu et celui du Lee Ufan Museum conçu par l’architechte Tadao Ando. Extraordinaire bâtiment construit dans une colline au milieu de la forêt. Magnifique voyage en souterrain avec pour unique éclairage des puits de lumière naturelle . Les trois uniques salles de ce bâtiment sont entièrement dédiées à Claude Monet, Walther De Maria, et James Turrell . Quelle expérience cette visite, un peu comme déambuler dans les bains de Vals.
Nous louons de vélo et nous partons à la découverte de l’ile. Le programme est assez chargé, car tous les villages de Naoshima présentent des oeuvres et certaines maisons typiques japonaises se sont transformées en projet artistique pour la triennale . Beaucoup de monde, mais répartit sur l’entier des douze iles qui accueillent ce festival c’est respirable et en plus en vélo, c’est le pied. C’est un peu la Biennale de Venise, mais au milieu de la nature. On a tellement de plaisir que nous restons un jour et une nuit de plus. Sabine à déniché un ryokan au bord de la mer avec une plage et magnifique jardin.
Lundi étant fermé pour les musées et les expos, on profite de l’ile sans les visiteurs ainsi que la plage uniquement pour nous. On quittera Naoshima le mardi 23 juillet pour nous élever un peu, dans les Alpes Japonaise, après cette belle étape de culture architecturale et contemporaine.

Have you ever visited (or heard of) the japanese island of Naoshima? What do you think! (Ps: For anyone who plan to go there and the weather is good, I highly recommend renting an electric bike!)
Unfortunately no, but you can bet it is in my bucket list (which instead of getting shorter keeps growing everyday).
