Is The Manuscript about John Mayer??? Maybe I'm just too sleep-deprived? "In the age of him she wished she was 30" like he was when they dated? Taylor Swift wrote ‘The Manuscript’ for the girls that journal, the girls who put their every thought every and every emotion in the pages of an old diary they bought ages ago. To the notes app girls who feel the most emotion in the middle of the night and their only way to get it all out is through writing on their phone. For the girls who look back at photos in an album and cry over failed relationships but have already moved past on and know all that emotion is now in their past, not their present or future.

Saw some fans figure out that the album prologue is presented in a file. You know what's more interesting? The file is named "The Manuscript". It's not just the bonus track, I think she's giving out her manuscript.

Fans disliking Taylor’s use of album variants has nothing to do with ‘instant gratification’ (I feel like you just threw out a random buzz word). We don’t want to have to buy 3 (possibly more) versions of the same album so that we can play all the deluxe tracks on our record players. Yes she’s had variants with different photos, but you were getting the same content. This is a deliberate move to get fans to buy as many vinyls as possible. It’s wasteful, I don’t want 5 vinyls of the same album. It’s okay to criticize Taylor when she’s doing something that isn’t beneficial to anyone except her and her bank account

So then… don’t buy… 5 versions of the same vinyl…
