#Terezi would obviously get tied in too somehow but not necessarily as the same person per se

Hm. Some of the characteristics you sometimes seen with tricksters in myth are
anti-authority, tend to violate the existing social order (and sometimes then remake it)
boastful, proud, sometimes undone by hubris
often clever but not necessarily wise
impulsive, motivated by urges rather than thought
good talkers who can work their way out of a situation but just as often make enemies and cause as many problems as they solve
fond of mischief, trickery, and theft
So I think you could say she hits on several of the notes seen in this archetype. John also follows some of the mythic trickster archetypes, skewing toward a more benevolent version like the ones who have a hand in setting up the world.
