currently this is waverly, it is ok for now seems like. more testing will need to be done for sure. im just not ready to say goodbye to this hood. its my favorite I've ever built. i love it more than peach tea arcadia, harlem and saltsjo-boo.

what i did to get here:

i swapped cases so now my graphics card doesn't overheat

i am playing with RPC currently (no settings, not even smooth rotation!), will be testing the reg ol' .exe shortly to see what the results are

jessa's fixes, epi's fixes and leefish fixes with a new graphics rules (in both config files!) using the 2020 graphic rules maker with the default settings (i just do not mess with that thing man)

epi's lot skirt changes to the graphics rules and removed the line from the userstartupcheat altogether

i am playing w/ shaders OFF (rip but it is what it is bc i want my damn smooth edges)

nvidia settings (NOT inspector tho)

rolled back the graphics driver (unconfirmed if this was actually helpful)

DVXK from this post (it did disable gshade but i really dc tbh.)

what i did not yet do:

repair via origin (i know to remove George first, i have MANY backups for the install location and docs folder)

i believe repairing via origin will also remove the lighting mod so that's moot bc thatd just get fixed at that point.

Hopefully it's not a bother to let you know, but for the gshade tutorial, there's a new popup. It will no longer allow installation because it says there's a new update. It's quite unfortunate that now even this version is somehow able to force updates as well.

this is the text that appears.

"This copy of the Gshade Installer is currently not up to date! Would you like to download the latest version in your default browser?"

the good news is, I installed the same version within the control panel with no problems, and it seems to work on another sims game. It'll just be for those who install it for the first time.

I thought it would be important to let you know about it since you really did save me the trouble of having a malicious code. I really appreciate it a lot. thank you.

Thank you! I appreciate you letting me know. I would test run it to this option but I’m worried about loosing my preset. I’ll see if I can get my old laptop up and running to trouble shoot it. That error should go away with turning off your connection to the internet but gshade did come back online unfortunately. it should’ve stayed offline and been abandoned.
