*ahem* felicia has honestly spent more time as a detective / mostly a hero than she has a thief. peter got her amnesty for her crimes back in the early 80s like... he didn’t date her while she was a criminal. He got her amnesty for her crimes and then they dated. like she’s walked into police stations before. she’s had police protection while she was recovering in the hospital from almost dying while trying to save new york. her reputation as a cat burglar persists, and she’s fine with that because she’s the best at what she does. but mostly felicia’s heists after being granted amnesty are:
to recover stolen goods sometimes at the express direction of the NYPD
that time she convinced Johnny to help her break into an exhibit at the Wakandan embassy so she could get her father’s lucky lock pick back from an exhibit he’d dropped it in. (which she did just because she thought it would be more fun than explaining herself.)
stealing information or dangerous weapons away from criminals
at the express direction of the owners who want their stuff back because they don’t like how the owners are using it. (ex: a superhero gives memorabilia to be auctioned for charity, it’s never auctioned, so felicia steals it back)
know plenty of comic book writers have forgotten about this, but i haven’t. and as far as this blog is concerned, this is still where is in her “criminal” career.
