Poster for the film Super Giant 6 - The Spaceship and the Clash of the Artificial Satellites (January 3, 1958). This was the second half of a story that began in Super Giant 5 - The Artificial Satellite and the Destruction of Humanity (December 28, 1957). Both films were later edited together for US television by Walter Manley Enterprises to become the Starman film Attack From Space (1965).
This was the last two-parter in the Super Giant series; the final three films were stand-alone stories.
This was also the last film in the series directed by Teruo Ishii, who had directed all the previous films. He left the series after a young boy imitating Super Giant leaped out a window and was very seriously injured.

Poster for Super Giant 6: The Spaceship and the Clash of the Artificial Satellite (January 3, 1958).  In the US this was edited together with Super Giant 5: The Artificial Satellite and the Destruction of Humanity (December 28, 1957) to become the Starman film Attack From Space (1965).
This was the last of the two-part Super Giant films; the remaining three films were stand-alone stories.  This was also the last Super Giant film directed by Teruo Iishi, who had directed all the films to this point.  Ishii-san left the series when he learned that a young boy imitating Super Giant was seriously injured after jumping out a window.

The films Super Giant 5: The Artificial Satellite and the Destruction of Humanity (December 29, 1957), and Super Giant 6: The Spaceship and the Clash of the Artificial Satellite (January 3, 1958) were later edited together and released on American television as Attack From Space (1965).  The hero’s name was changed to Starman.
I Satelliti Contro La Terra (Satellites Against The Earth) is the Italian version of Attack From Space.  The hero was again renamed, this time being called Spaceman (the name he was also known by in France).
It’s interesting that the poster uses the gun and pose to give Super Giant/Starman/Spaceman a secret agent vibe, since James Bond-mania was sweeping the world at the time.  Even more interesting is that the hero’s signature antenna has been replaced with an iPhone glued to his forehead.

Super Giant (aka Starman) film poster.  I believe this is the poster for either Super Giant 5: The Artificial Satellite and the Destruction of Humanity, or its second part, Super Giant 6: The Spaceship and the Clash of the Artificial Satellite.

The poster for Super Giant 5: The Artificial Satellite and the Destruction of Humanity, released  December 29, 1957.
It was followed-up by  the second half of the story, Super Giant 6: The Spaceship and the Clash of the Artificial Satellite, less than a week later on January 3, 1958.
These were the last two installments in the series (at 39 minutes each they can’t even be considered feature films) directed by Teruo Ishii.  He left the series when he learned a young boy had been seriously injured after leaping out a window imitating Super Giant.
Walter Manley Enterprises edited the two parts together and released them to American television as the Starman film Attack From Space,
Or, as I affectionately refer to it, Starman vs. The Space Nazis.

They couldn’t decide whether to name the hero Super Giant or Starman, so they split the difference.
Italian poster for Attack from Space, which itself was cobbled together from the Japanese film Super Giant 5: The Artificial Satellite and the Destruction of Humanity, and its second part Super Giant 6: The Spaceship and the Clash of the Artificial Satellite.
Or as I refer to it: Starman vs the Space Nazis!

Starman still thrashing’ Space Nazis in Attack From Space.
All four of the American Starman films were cobbled together from the original 9 installments of the Japanese Super Giant serials.
Super Giant 5 (The Artificial Satellite and the Destruction of Humanity) and Super Giant 6 (The Spaceship and the Clash of the Artificial Satellite) were the last two-part episodes of the Super Giant series, and were edited together to make Attack From Space.
