Next up everybody's favorite Archangel! I want to avoid "White = good" showing beauty goes beyond WASPy, evangelical standards. He can be read as afro/SWANA depending on the viewer.

While i liked the 2011 superbook one of my biggest gripes with it is how every angel was just white, blond haired blue eyed. So i wanted to depict Michael differently from traditional depictions, to demonstrate how anyone can be an angel.

It's probably just me having an episode but even younger me always saw Chris quantum as a trans person who has so many issues with religion and beliefs hence why he's always questioning shit from the Bible (that and he found out he just.. Doesn't want to believe since a young age and eventually stopped when he reached young adulthood)

Thank you! I should've made his hair a bit curlier but as long as i got the point across it's alright as is.

In my mind Angels reflect humanity which means coming in different shapes, sizes and colors. And since the Bible originated from those regions I thought it make sense for one of its prime angels to have traits common to the peoples there.
