10! Video games!
I assume at this point we’ve all seen the Raph as Princess Peach thing going around- So I thought why not go all the way? Where are my Rosalinas? The Polinas?
They would totally get into character only so that they can talk shit about Mario.
(More versions under cut!)

You physically cannot convince me Leo wouldn’t be Rosalina.
I can see Donnie having respect for Polina, and Mikey vibing with Daisy- But I just LOVE the idea that Mikey would love Polina- She’s just girlbossing, she went from the damsel in distress to being New York’s fucking MAYOR. It just fits so well with my headcanons of Mikey-
On top of that, me and my girlfriend were talking, and I realized how much Raph actually needs this. He’s always the one saving people, always worrying for their safety- Just- Just this once. He gets to indulge in the idea of being saved.
And Mikey liking Polina has a simular vibe to it- Cause Mikey wants to not be babied right? So what’s character would command more respect then a MAYOR. Who holds a concert and is just rocking the professional vibe. I also headcanon Mikey as aro ace and genderfluid, so Polina switching from suits to dresses, as well as being a past love interest for Mario makes me think she went “Nah, not for me” WHICH AGAIN, FITS WITH MY MIKEY HEADCANONS-

If you could rewrite yashahime what would you change as far as the plot and storylines?
OH BOY THE QUESTION THAT LITERALLY EVERYONE IN THIS FANBASE HAS WONDERED SINCE S1
and this is like. actually hard for me. which is odd bc i'm so invested in Towa Higurashi's character in general and like to think a lot of her but i've never done an extensive AU idea of how to rewrite Yashahime, bc until the clustfuck of the Grim Comet Arc at the very end of S2 i was mostly fine with things i just wished they had did it better, but
Towa not bringing back Setsuna right away. i may be biased but i fucking HATE when storylines do this. when a character dies at the end of an episode or story chapter, and we don't get the next one for MONTHS later, and they're immediately brought back. Guild Wars 2 did this shit too and i HAAAATE it. i feel like it should've been active endeavor, something that should've taken 4-6 episodes to complete. there should have been a mini arc that focused on Towa's efforts to make Tenseiga truly her own sword (like Inuyasha did with Tessaiga with slaying Ryukotsusei) to be able to bring back Setsuna and allow Towa to retain ownership of Tenseiga, a sword which suits her nature more than Sesshomaru's, a sword that Sesshomaru no longer needs. Rin, Tenseiga, and Kagura were the instrumental catalysts of Sesshomaru's growth: i think it would've been incredibly fitting for his daughter, who is more oriented on helping people in general compared to her father to have proven she is a worthy holder of the sword and for it to be her's. i REALLY like Zanseiken but i think her relying primarily on Kikujumonji would've been just fine. this one gets me heated and it's not even Yashahime's fault specifically this is just a trope in writing i fucking hate. don't kill off a character at the end of a book then next year when the next book comes out they're healed in chapter 1. if i ever do this as an author i will consider this my ultimate failing
delve more into Towa's mental health. i fucking LOVED when they actually addressed "hey Towa. you're traumatized and your obsession with protecting Setsuna when she really doesn't need it and has told you that to your face is a direct result of your coping with trauma and that's not really good." i always have this little ritowa scene in my head revolving around Towa like "I want to protect everyone. That is my goal... so... why don't we compromise, Riku-kun? I'll protect everyone... and you'll protect me." like, Towa finding a more healthy middle ground for her ambitions, although i DO love that by the end, during the Grim Comet, it's explicitly clear she wants to protect everyone. maybe this was bc of the rumors of s3 getting axed but i sincerely love how we saw Towa's desires to protect evolve from just Setsuna to the whole world.
keep Kirinmaru's personality more aligned with his S1 personality, although i still like the idea of using Zanseiken or something else as a trap to kill Towa to resurrect Rion. i really love Rion and i really love how much of a dark parallel to Sesshomaru that Kirinmaru was and his own willingness to essentially betray his sense of pride and honor for his daughter, but i still think IN GENERAL AS A WHOLE he should've kept his more prideful and honorable personality. i would've loved to see him clearly disgusted with himself for how cowardly his own plan is with Towa while also refusing to stop
do more with Rion i fucking love Rion so much DO MORE WITH RION. NOBODY EVER DRAWS TOWA/RION. I WANT MORE RION CONTENT IDK WHAT IT WOULD'VE BEEN BUT I WANTED MOR RION.
give Osamu Kirin a consistent ideology and ultimate master plan. him being Towa's final boss and ultimate personal ultimate enemy when Sesshomaru deals with Kirinmaru. that fight when she has to take him on in human form was great, i just think Osamu really needed his. own ideology to be consistent (i still don't mind him having gone back on his own goals in favor of making Rion the new King however)
keep Rin's general writing more in-line with her scenes of holding Bakusaiga to her neck and standing up to Kirinmaru for the sake of the kids. idk what exactly but i would've done SOMETHING that gave her an important job that she pulled off, like something that if not done would've fucked everyone over
actually have Meido Zangetsuha be plot relevant and used once Inuyasha gets out of the pearl like Jaken said it would back in S1
Moroha getting Meido Zangetsuha somehow. Meido Zangetsuha is cool. Moroha is cool. Moroha using Meido Zangetsuha would've been really cool. it could've played into the theme of inheritance from your parents, i think!
honestly Rion being a more proper conflict as a final conflict if they delved into her personality more also would've been good, even if Osamu was the true final villain
the Tree of Ages being a villain like what was apparently originally planned. i remember once during S1 i had this entire deal where Sesshomaru had made a pact with the Tree to take both twins to the modern era in safety only for Treekyo to completely fuck him over and only do it with Towa and telling Towa to her face that in her eyes she was just a backup in case things went wrong and she always meant for Setsuna to do this shit alone basically
so yeah- i don't know how much i would absolutely rewrite, i'd just want more focus on things

So does anyone else think this is going to end well? Considering that season 3 literally just begun and it already feels like we are at the final battle, I’m fully expecting Akira’s little team of bodyguards to fail miserably at their one job and Akira is going to get his brain fired. Also we could actually get a Playmaker loss this season during this little “protect Akira” arc. Yusaku doesn’t want to fight Ai and he might actually hold back when those two finally meet up face to face. As for Ai, I don’t think he’s going to have any problem with beating the crap out of his former partner. He’s slowly turning into a full out sadistic, smug bastard and honestly I’m loving every second of it.
Tumblr media
Bow down to our future overlord! I’m honestly just waiting for Ai to declare himself King at this point. Roboppy is already the jester as it is. I don’t think anyone in the fandom would complain about him taking over the world.
So how was episode 105 as a whole? Well it was basically just set up for this upcoming battle but it was interesting what they chose to put in this setup.
Thankful, the writers didn’t forget about the other Chess Pieces but they seemed to have changed them around so they aren’t Chess Pieces anymore but stars? I don’t know, it is confusing. Looks like there is more then one King but to me it sounds like Rock, Bishop, and Knight. The voices sounded familiar (doing a rewrite of the series helps to notice these details). And if that’s the case, are they collectively the Kings of SOL? Is there even a Pawn Chess Piece? There should be but again, I have no idea what they are trying to do anymore with these Chess Pieces. I’m just glad they didn’t seem to completely forget about them but I would still like to know what they are trying to do with them now.
Takeru was planning on leaving to go back to his hometown (which I’m pretty sure a majority of the fandom will cry when that ever happens) since he obviously had no more reason to actually be here but since Ai has decided to go rouge, he’s staying around for a bit longer to see if he can get any answers out of him concerning Flame. At this point, he probably should have left just for his own safely. I’m still convinced Ai is going to go after the Lost Children after he gets what he needs from SOL to recreate the Hanoi Project so Takeru has a GIANT potential target on his head. Then again, I don’t think him fleeing will make much of a difference because if Ai can gain control of SOL, he can basically find anyone, which isn’t good for Jin, Miyu, and WO.
That android we see in the new OP is indeed Pandor and yeah bad feelings all around when it comes to her. Let’s be real here, we all know Ai is going to gain control of her, if he hasn’t already, and in turn going to screw everyone over just like the myth she was named after. Nothing more to really say there other then the fact that thanks Revolver. You probably just doomed everyone who you gave a mini Pandor to. You Knights really are just your own self-fulling prophecies. I love the Knights of Hanoi but my god they are so dumb at times.
One of the things I found shocking in today’s episode is that Akira and Aoi find out that Yusaku is Playmaker just like that due to them putting the pieces together once they see Kusanagi after they saw the footage of the Playmaker vs Kusanagi duel. On one hand, it was about time they found out but on the other, did it feel kinda rushed to anyone else? Like one second Akira is having his whole “oh I’m going to die, might as well take my last look around at everything” moment to Aoi appearing and saying “hey let’s get some hot dogs” and then boom, reveal. It just felt kinda awkward and just thrown in there or was that just me? The whole exchange between Aoi and Yusaku afterwards also felt kinda awkward but I think that was mostly due to Yusaku who just looked so out of his element right there. That poor boy has no real life social skills and I relate to that so hard XD Also I just don’t care for Angelmakershipping (since I’m so scared they are going to majorly screw up Aoi’s character because of it) so maybe that’s why I didn’t quite enjoy this whole reveal if that was all it was leading up towards. But again, that might just be me. You all know how I feel about Aoi’s writing at this point.
So literally the whole gang is here to protect Akira, including all of the Knights of Hanoi. And can I just say I love how anytime Ryoken/Revolver shows up, Takeru/Soulburner is 100% down to beat the sh*t out of him XD I just love how much Takeru wants to kill the guy. I also just love this one piece of dialogue between them in today’s episode.
Revolver: We are prepared to take full responsibility for our past actions.
Soulburner: What responsibility? You are going to get arrested for the crimes you committed? (he says that last part so sarcastically which is what makes this so funny)
Revolver: Exactly (he says this with such a smug face as well, shocking everyone understandably).
So yeah, Ryoken is actually willing to go to jail once Ai is defeated and killed. Once the final Ignis is destroyed, he and Akira are going to tell the whole world about the Hanoi Project from the looks of things. Takeru doesn’t seem to happy about this though, thinking that more justice should be done to the people that destroyed his life (let’s be real here, he might actually want to kill Ryoken (he seriously did lose his impulse control in Flame).
So this is what we have to look forward to going forward. Blue Maiden is being her brother’s personal bodyguard in the center of Akira’s protective sphere. Ghost Girl, Blood Shepherd, and Spectre are guarding the east path. Go, Faust, Baira, and Genome are guarding the west path. Revolver and Soulburner are guarding the entrances and currently, we don’t know exactly where Playmaker is at since he just arrived when the episode ended but my guess he’s going to head for the center of the orb since he doesn’t know what Akira’s plan is. Blue Maiden, Ghost Girl, and Go Onizuka each have a copy of Pandor in their duel disk with Revolver probably having the four and last one with him. Like I said, I don’t see this ending well.
But yeah, that was basically the episode. Again, mostly just setup but it was enjoyable. Sorry I can’t go into as much detail in this one since I have to leave in a bit after posting this.
But onto the preview real quick, we learned from episode 106′s cast list that Ai is going to make copies of himself to be able to basically duel everyone while he’s making his way towards Akira and it looks like one of those copies (just based on the different eye color alone) is going to be joining Roboppy against Blood Shepherd and Ghost Girl for their tag duel. Roboppy’s eye color is still the same in the preview so it looks like they are the legitimate deal. Now we know Spectre is in their group but he’s not present nor speaking so I wonder where he’s at? Hopefully not already kidnapped because again, we kinda have to keep track of these Lost Children at the moment.
Now I didn’t have time yesterday to talk about the cast list and the extended summary that we got for 106 but now that we know Ai is going to be making copies of himself, I’m very curious to know what kind of shenanigans we could be getting from these copies and if they all look like Ai? For example, the Soulburner vs Revolver rematch that was shown to us in the new OP. At the moment, they have no reason to fight against each other but we all know how much Soulburner hates Revolver and Ai knows very well how much Soulburner hates Revolver. I would not be surprised if the Revolver we see dueling Soulburner is actually one of Ai’s copies (which is why we don’t see Revolver’s face during that duel in the OP if the eye color will end up giving that away), being used to distract him and maybe kidnap him. We see them dueling in what looks to be the forest where the Lost Children were recused from. However, if this actually is the real Revolver dueling Soulburner and not a copy in fact, Ai would be hitting all the right triggers into making Soulburner willingly say “okay screw this battle at the moment, I’m killing this guy right now”. Oh this duel is going to be fun. As for Blood Shepherd and Ghost Girl, yeah they dead. I don’t see them winning this.
