Happy anniversary to SINKHOLE! I swear to god season three is still coming.
It'll, uh, probably just show up without warning when you least expect it.

sometimes i remember that i first got asked for SINKHOLE merch after only three episodes had aired and i'm like... that was barely half an hour of content. completely wild, frighteningly decisive behaviour. (affectionate)

I believe it was you from whom I got the recommendations to listen to Desert Skies and Sinkhole? Desert Skies is fantastic and I'm really enjoying it. Sinkhole, though, is now one of my absolute favorites. I listened to it as close to straight through as my schedule allowed.
I'm really fond of both of them, so that seems probable. I'm so glad you enjoyed them (and it makes me so happy I could help you find shows you like).
Desert Skies is a lot of fun and I like the balance of ridiculous, interesting, and comforting it does so well. I'm keeping a spreadsheet for the lore as it comes up, too.
SINKHOLE on the other hand is of those pieces of media that, and I'm not sure how to express this satisfactorily, feels both alien and familiar and is kind of unique and balanced in a way that rewires how you think and connect with media a bit? Or, maybe that's just me.
Anyway, excuse my gushing, thanks for dropping in.

Okay I've been listening to SINKHOLE and realllyyyyy liking it!!!! It's got an incredibly neat premise and the way that the world building is slowly unfolded has really great pacing. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the first season, and I'm really excited to see where it goes.
Highly recommended if you have feelings about archival work, data preservation and (at the moment) weird looming phenomena

Sinkhole Podcast Review
I finally got my official website set up, and it might have messed up my calendar a bit but here's the review @sinkholepodcast ! I promise I'll get to @site107 next
Summary: A podcast about a hole with zero sex jokes and a fun amount of eel trivia. It will add a new bullet point to your list of possible apocalypse scenarios, and it will be worth it.  Genre/Tag: Speculative fiction I would like it to be known that I binged this podcast in a single day, and I have no regrets. It is so good. It’s a first-person narrative from the POV of someone who is making…

everyone should be listening to Sinkhole, a podcast about data restoration and a big hole

I bet the Nev has done some really interesting things for horror media.
Oh, absolutely. The nature of the NEV is such that to make immersive horror, your actors would have to be pretty willing to experience genuine fear, so there's almost certainly a weird culture of adulation towards a few big names who have a talent for getting scared shitless even when they know what's coming.

32 is @sinkholepodcast!
A data restoration hobbyist makes a series of audio posts to other members of their community. This is a future where a huge and inexplicable sinkhole appeared in an urban area - the narrator fell into it, and was one of 112 people to re-emerge 30 years later.

Finally caught up with this absolutely amazing audio drama and made a quick mix for it - it's a WIP as the show is still in production but I had fun finding tracks that matched the sound design and energy of the show !
Shuffle-friendly, updated sporadically 🖤

If that flops I will just pick randomly and pretend that never happened.
I shall listen to all ... eventually. But I'm so... Indecisive rn
Feel free to recommend podcast if want, but I probably already know them and listen to tho
And I will be summoning @lasalebete because I shall AT LEAST have one vote even if it's random

A lot of these are you could ask literally anybody with superficial cranial sinkage and get the exact same answer, so I’m going to try and keep mine brief: can I touch my own head? Yes. Can someone else touch my head? Only if I can see what they’re doing and am actually paying attention.
What does it feel like when I touch my sinkage area? Normal. I can touch my face and scalp without a problem. It feels exactly like it always has.
What do I see when I look at myself? The same thing everyone else does.
What would happen if you tried to drop something on my head? It’d fall into my sinkage.
What happens to things that fall into my sinkage? They drift into a glittering void.
What happens to things that start to fall into my sinkage but are removed? They’re fucking irradiated. It’s a weird cosmic void. it does that.
SINKHOLE, EP0006 - Ask Me Anything
