When Eddie is stuck in the hospital, Max a couple rooms away, both of them achey and tired down to the bone, they watch a lot of TV. There’s only so much either of them can do when there isn’t someone visiting them, so they start watching the same channels. When the nurses that are willing to wheel Eddie over to Max’s room are on duty, they’ll watch it actually together, or they’ll talk about the latest program they watched together-apart. 

It’s how they find him. Max has never been really tried art. She appreciated it, absolutely, loved the art that went into a surf board and her skateboard and even fashion. But she’d never really done art. Eddie would sit and talk her through the bits she couldn’t quite see still, would explain the details Bob was adding. He loved it, loved sitting with Max, loved feeling a little more normal. 

One of those days, Joyce comes to visit them. After gentle hugs and genuine, endearing questions about how they were doing, she looked at the TV and broke into a huge, soft smile.

“Will loves this show. Haven’t seen it since the last time he was stuck in the hospital.”

She sits down, one hand in Max’s, shoulder pressed oh-so-gently against Eddie’s, and watch Bob Ross paint happy little trees. 

#Bob Ross' show aired out of Muncie Indiana #from 1983-1994 #and he would go and do classes all around too #and i just could not imagine these nerdy ppl #not somehow finding it #i headcanon Hawkins to be in southern IN #so i think #in 1986 #a Muncie channel would reach them #idk how TV broadcasting worked #but i'm also pretty sure The Joy of Painting aired to a lot of places out of iN #*IN #eddie munson #max mayfield #joyce byers #bob ross #the joy of painting #stranger things

Lonnie is honestly very compelling to me. Yes he’s a scumbag and a piece of shit but he’s also just. A guy. I would venture to say he’s the most grounded and realistic character on the show. Like that’s just a guy you could find in the real world. He’s an alcoholic who abused his wife and kids but the way that adults in town talk about him he was well regarded. He had friends. He was a monster in his home but people liked him. He received hugs and well wishes at Will’s funeral. He was the guy you knew from the bar who told everyone that his son was queer.

Streber (Class of 31)

I am aware that a manipulative character using strings/puppets to control the other characters is really cliche but its cliche for a reason!! I just wanted to display Streber's manipulation in the Class of 31 au.

you might notice he looks kinda cute in the images of drawn of him so far, and congrats, that means you fell for it! anyways

Streber uses a fake personality and pretends to be stupid to get what he wants, he pretends to be innocent and stupid but hes not, he knows exactly what hes doing. Kind of a "4 steps ahead of you at all times" type situation.

The only people not falling for his persona is Kevin and Rick.
