Watching STNG for the first time as an adult, and I am immediately on board with the idea that Picard is the real reckless bravado captain compared to Kirk. Q tells him to go home and literally two seconds later he's like, "Okay, I'm going to put the entire crew of this ship in completely avoidable danger just for the sake of not doing what that douchebag says!"
