There were a lot of MMA “fans” mad that Payton Talbott wears crop tops and does some pole dancing but I think most people on here would find it cool as hell. Look at him go.
Brotha killed it honestly.

SUNDAY SPORTS BEAT
Use any adjective of extreme you choose... it will suffice to describe what the HCC Blue Dragons did to Dodge City Saturday at the Sports Arena. 85-3 HCC was the final score, the third highest offensive output in program history. They were up 42-0 at the half before a second half that saw two kickoffs and a punt returned for touchdowns, the three returns a school record, a safety... free kick from which was returned... a big pass for a touchdowns, a bigger run for six, you get the idea. The Blue Dragons had more return yardage, a school record 301, than the Conqs had in total offense, 118. Quarterback Mark Wright was only 6-10 passing, but that went for 205 yards and two touchdowns, with Khari Lane completing a TD pass late in the game. Trey Pettway caught two of those passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns,. while Sharif Brown was the leading rusher with 71 and one score with Tiyon Evans rushed for 67 yards and two scores. The 4th quarter of the game was played with a running clock HCC is back in action Thursday night for their final home game of the regular season when they host Rezolution Prep.
Other Jayhawk games saw Garden City down Highland 37-7, Butler beat Fort Scott 10-7 and Independence beat Coffeyville 62-23
The Sterling College Warriors meanwhile didn't have quite as big of a day offensively, but the did well enough to take a 44-0 victory Saturuday over Bethany in Lindsborg. The Warriors, who led 37-0 at the end of the half, amassed 476 yards in total offense. Warrior starting quarterback Cedrick Phillips went out with an injury but passed for 131 yars and a touchdown before that...Eric Butler came in and passed for 107 yards and two TD's, which was more than Bethany's total offense of 84 yards... minus 58 rushing. Bethany turned the ball over three times on the game, Sterling is off next week before hosting Southwestern November 2nd.
Other KCAC action Saturday saw..Kansas Wesleyan downed Southwestern 45-21, Bethel beat Friends 25-20, Tabor won over Saint Mary 24-7 and McPherson took a 19-17 win over Ottawa.

The Lady Dragons held a 1-0 lead at halftime on a Cheyenne Busker goal off a corner from Naomi Waithira in the 5th miniute. Cloud equalized the match on an unassisted shot by Franciele Cupertino that skipped under the front right angle in the 50th minute... adding two more goals in the 63rd and 69th minute. With the win Cloud takes the Jayhawk West title and top seed for the Region VI playoffs beginning Saturday.

KU gave Texas more than a fight Saturday night in Austin before going down 50-48 in the first game with new offiensive coordinator.Brent Dearman. Thoughts on Payton Talbott?
Anyone who uses knees on people who change levels gets a gold star from me. Even managed to survive the patented Saaiman foul.
He looked way better here than against Aguirre. He was closing with reckless abandon in that one and here, he was measured in his pressure and able to put Saaiman in bad positions constantly. Saaiman caught him a couple times by just darting in but they were fleeting. When Saaiman did manage to chase him off and get back to center, he got right back in his face and hit him with something big to get him moving back again. Man is developing a real search and destroy game and I like it. Understood what range he had to be at to nullify Saaiman while still threatening. Again, those knees were money. That counter left hand was also money. Dropped him really quickly with it in the first round, again as Saaiman closed the pocket. The pieces are all there for him to be great.
