[Adjective][Character] urls are actually super common here! I’ve been here for years and at several points my entire mutual group has used at least one. Queer character urls are by far the most common variant but there are other silly ones out there (my own included). Very interesting to hear that the same is true of Reddit :3
I wasn't describing [adj character] as much as [x is now trans] or generally a lot of cultural touchstones through reoccurring memes like the sonic games and post-ironic love for shadow.
There's the tumblr meme of lesbians holding swords that makes a pass around the site every once and awhile so when i saw a name like Lesbianknight(?) i could easily assume it was tumblr.
Another was translinuxuser being obvious ex reddit because there's slightly more of a "everyone is a nerdy programmer" thing going on over there.
The thing i was finding interesting was even outside of like specific examples that was big enough to permeate through both sites (e.g trans Sylveon) there's a lot of cultural overlap that's not explicitly traced back to some meme format or something specific like that.
Thus some specific names that references culture are very hard to discern because tumblr and 196 related reddit engages in a fair degree of common culture.
Side note: I can't find that article/screen cap that's like "we tried to get this woman to hold up a sign saying i'm beatiful but she refused to put down her swords"
