Imagine being held by this horse-murdering angst-master for like a whole hour or however long that ride was? Oh wait it was more like two minutes and then he dumped her on the ground lolz. Clearly however, she has no use for his dramatics and chooses sass. I love her? YES He just gave her an angst smirk. A great meet-cute.

Queen Yoo and the 3rd Prince need to STAHP IT. Plotting I CANNOT.

Exorcism rite: good this family needs one after all of their in-fighting OMG. Also this show has really charming cinematography and I live for the costumes.

Oh a Queen face-off...INTERESTING. Queen Hwangbo. Queen Yoo. This is what happens when you have multiple wives. EVERYONE HATES EACH OTHER.

Can I have feelings about So's and Wook's brother dynamic channelled solely through exchanged glances? Also I am wrong to have a Sons of Feanor feeling about this?? LET ME LIVE

Something really bad is about to happen isn't it??? Specifically with So being the "Crown Prince" (and yet by something bad I mean INCREASE THE DRAMA)

Great, there is a gong. This was absolutely made 10x better by a gong and I am not being facetious.

I appreciate this level of artistry for what is both a spiritual ceremony and a coup. Excellent.

Hae Soo is freaking adorable and should be protected at all costs. I judge her the unproblematic fave of this show (along with the Eighth Prince). (There are many faves in this show but most of them are problematic).

Hae Soo's delight at the beautiful things there are to be had in this ancient time is just really sweet and a great character trait that she isn't ridiculously angsty and stuff.

OK there is a lot of jumping that is basically flying here and I'm not sure if that is supposed to suspend disbelief or what but yeah I mean I love 4th Prince So so we will accept.

The fact that Soo can never stop being fascinated by 4th Pricne is somethign we share and I cherish. ...although maybe chasing him into the woods wasn't a smart choice when he was clearly pursuing a band of assassins.

OOOHHH THIRD PRINCE IS A TRAITOR METHINKSSSS

OMG HAE SOO NOW YOU ARE A HOSTAGE THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T CHASE HOT MURDEROUS MEN INTO THE WOODS

4th Prince is literally on the edge of edginess and I am delighting in every second of it.
