Why do we still go to Starbucks and Chipotle?⠀ ⠀ Couldn’t you just make the Skinny Vanilla Latte and Burrito Bowl in the comfort of your own kitchen? How come we all don’t then?⠀ ⠀ It’s because of a few reasons:⠀ It saves us time because they’re setup to make it and they know how to multitask cooking and brewing and doing other things at the same time⠀ They’re going to make something that tastes better than what you could make at home (trust me, I’ve made copycat recipes and NONE of them tasted as good)⠀ If Time=Money then saving time will yield a better net profit in return⠀ ⠀ The problem is that when it comes to other areas of our lives we see it as an expense. Your health doesn’t care about how much it costs you to see a doctor, or to bill insurance for prescription medications, or to bill you for procedures that could have been prevented.⠀ ⠀ By investing in your own health you’re saving more money down the road. You’re playing a game of risk and reward where the risk is way higher than reward.⠀ ⠀ Odds are, by trying to do all of these things on our own, we’re far more likely to end up with a result that’s subpar and that took us much longer to get where we wanted to.⠀ ⠀ In fact, you’re far more likely to not even make it to the end goal.⠀ ⠀ Based on weight loss research, gaining more weight back after the diet is extremely common.
