Went to Coney Island a while ago. A lot of the game booths had just Pikachu and Charizard plush as prizes. Street vendors had hats of Pikachu and Charmander.

#this was very much what 1999 looked like when it came to Poke.on merch #Bulbasaur Squirtle Eevee Poliwhirl Gengar Meowth Jigglypuff were there often #The era of Gen 1 was a lot of them figuring out what other Pokemon were popular so it was hit or miss #Mew was around a lot too...but Mew was originally a huge gimmick with the games #I'm just wondering why there were no recent Pokemon prizes...I know they're bootlegged so... #Can't bootleg anything past Gen 1? Or maybe bootleggers bought into Charizard supremacy
