🎀 The Decade is "1930" 🎀 Our lipgloss shade 1930 was inspired by CEO @the_queen_bambee Great Great Grandmother who was born 1934. She describes her as very fashion forward in her youth. This Deep Plum shade is a reflection how lipsticks tend to appear in black and white film during the golden age of this era. In the 1930s, women put more feminine emphasis on their face. The once heavy kohl eyeshadows from the 1920s, was now replaced with lighter shades. To get the 1930s look. Use: - Hollywood Glow Highlighter in "Sade" all over the lid and to highlight the cheek bone. - Add Baby Girl as your rouge (optional). - Finish your lips with 1930 lipgloss. - Optinional: To finish off the look, apply one of our Lash Style. We Suggest Aaliyah or Helen. Golden Tips To Conceal Like A Pro & For Flawless Coverage
Cosmetic concealer is a real game-changer in your makeup arsenal. It’s like a magic eraser that hides the imperfections, blemishes, scars, under-eye circles, uneven skin tone, hangovers, bad decisions, and whatnot. But while it's doing wonders, you don’t want it to get caked up and drawing more attention because it is the last thing you want. So, without further ado, let us give you our fool-proof guide on the tips and tricks to apply concealer like a professional makeup artist.
What is concealer?
A concealer is a cosmetic product that is used to cover or mask the flaws or imperfection on the skin. It covers dark circles, blemishes, corrects color, age spots, large pores, etc. It blends the flaws into the skin tone and makes it look fresh and flawless.
Difference between Concealer and Foundation?
FOUNDATION
Foundation is mostly applied after primer. It is one of the first steps in your makeup routine. Moreover, It should be similar to the skin tone of your face as the foundation is applied all over your face. It is used to even out the appearance of skin tone. It also creates a smooth base for flawless makeup. Foundations are available in different forms and are well suited for different skin types such as liquid foundation, cream foundation, powder, stick, etc. It can be blended with the help of makeup brushes, beauty blenders, or clean fingers. They provide all sorts of coverage from sheer, natural to full coverage. CONCEALER
Concealer performs the task to cover those flaws on the skin which can’t be covered or corrected by foundations. As the name itself explains the meaning, it conceals those imperfections of your face that you want to hide such as blemishes, scars, dark circles, etc. It also brightens up the darker area of the skin tone, so it is always recommended to choose one or two shades lighter than your skin tone. You can apply concealer before or after the foundation, depends upon your own method of doing makeup.
You can have different shades of concealer for different requirements. For example, to cover the flaws & imperfections, you should try to select a concealer whose shade is closer to your natural skin tone. On the other hand, you can select a lighter shade according to your undertone to brighten the high areas on the face such as the middle of the forehead, under eyes, etc.
Also, there are color correcting concealers available in the market. They are designed to fix a specific problematic area on your skin. They normally provide medium to full coverage and have a thick consistency than a foundation.
Some concealers come with an applicator brush and they can be blended with fingers as well but for the best results, they should be blended with a beauty blender or a concealer blending brush. Before jumping on to tips to apply concealer, let us discuss some types of concealers.
Types of Concealers:
1) Color Correcting Concealers: Color-correcting concealers are used to cancels out the specific imperfection and help in masking skin discoloration by fixing problematic regions of the face to a more neutral hue. Color correcting concealers comes in different colors, with each color has a specific role to mask the imperfection.
RED, ORANGE & PEACH CONCEALERS: It cancels out the blue and green hues that are generally found in dark circles.
VIOLET, LAVENDER, PURPLE OR BLUE CONCEALERS: It cancels out the yellow or orange tone, yellow dark spots, or if you overly orange-tanned yourself.
GREEN CONCEALERS: It cancels the redness, acne scars or any bruise or pimples as it is the opposite color of red.
PINK OR SALMON CONCEALERS: It cancels out yellow, blue, or green hues and is suitable to neutralize the skin of dark circles for lighter skin tones.
YELLOW CONCEALERS: It counteracts the purple or redness in the skin such as veins, bruises, mild skin sensitivities, etc.
2) Liquid Concealer: Liquid concealers have thin texture and less risk of clogging pores. It provides very good full coverage and can also be build-up from low to full. It is more suitable for the skin type of normal to oily.
3) Stick Concealer: Stick concealers have a semi-solid and thick creamy texture. They provide for medium to full coverage. It is suitable for the skin type of normal to dry.
4) Cream Concealer: Cream concealers have thick creamy & slippery texture. They are more suitable for normal, dry, and sensitive skin. They can get creased into lines so setting it with loose powder is mandatory.
How To Apply Concealer The Right Way?
Below are some important tips to apply concealer like a professional makeup artist.
Step 1 - Choose the right shade
Analyze your skin tone and undertone. Based on the steps mentioned above, choose the right concealer according to your skin requirements.
Step 2 – Select the right type

Step 3 – Apply foundation first
There’s nothing wrong in applying concealer before foundation but sometimes when we apply foundation after, the concealer gets rubbed off and you might have to conceal some areas all over again. Moreover, it is one of the most important tips to apply concealer. So, it's better to apply the foundation first to get flawless coverage.
Step 4 – Use beauty blender or Makeup Brushes
To blend the concealer properly into your skin, do not use fingers to get a good finish, always use a concealer brush or damp beauty blender. You can use PAC 219 Concealer Brush or Puna Store® Complexion Sponge – Orange.
Step 5 – Reshape your lips
With the help of concealer, you can also reshape your lips. Start with covering your lips with concealer to merge into your natural skin tone and trace your natural lip line and draw it little outside or according to the shape which you like. Then fill your lips with your favorite lip color.
Step 6 – Double concealing dark circles
There is a two-fold method to create an airbrush finish to the dark circles. First, cover the dark area with a concealer of your natural or 1 shade darker skin tone. The next step is to apply a brightening concealer - one or two shades lighter than your natural skin tone, to brighten the under-eye area and makes your face look fresh & radiant.
Step 7 – Contour with two shades of concealer
To define your facial features, always use two different shades of concealer to contour. Moreover, to increase the shadow effect for sleek jawline and defining other facial features, use a concealer two shades darker from your natural skin tone. To highlight the area of the face, use concealer two shades lighter than your natural skin tone.
Step 8 – Finish with a loose powder
Always dab some loose powder over the concealer to set it in place and preventing from getting creased. It also helps to even out the skin tone. There are many tinted loose powders available but a translucent powder works best. LA Girl Pro Setting HD Powder is one of the best-recommended setting powder to provide a flawless finish to your makeup.
