Joseph Quinn at Showmasters comic con in London,UK
Fan: hi mine’s not really a question, it’s more just an extension of gratitude really. i’m sure a lot of us have heard what happened yesterday* whether it’s true or not about how you were treated I won’t really comment on it but I just wanted to say thank you from all of us but really we are really grateful for sharing your time [crowd cheers, thank you so much, we love you joe!] thank you for signing our things and for spending time with us, for making our summer.
I think we’ve all really connected with Eddie for one reason or another. whether we liked his music taste or he is the outsider like you’ve mentioned, I think all of us are a part of Eddie. We’ve all traveled far cause we all connect with you as well. You’ve made all of our weekends and you made mine as well you were so nice to me and my guide dog yesterday and how every you were treated yesterday just know we are so grateful, thank you.
joe [wiping tears]: ugh why did you do that? (joking)

*Joe was overbooked, staff were being rude to him, They were yelling at him for the way he was interacting with fans, he didn’t get to meet everyone who was there to see him, fans were rushed when meeting him, overall a chaos event.
Meeting this beautiful man was an absolute dream. I don’t know how I’m supposed to move on with my life now 😫
Also, I’m aware there are versions of the last two flying around without my watermark, but I was so excited when I took them, I forgot to mark them. Please don’t share without the watermark going forward!
Back from MCM and what an amazing weekend- Thank you so much to everyone we met, had the best time chatting to so many other amazing nerds and creatives, i'm feeling so inspired now!
Some highlights were-
-The Elminster we kept bumping in to, who at one point came up behind Odd and whispered, "Where's my cheese, Gale?"
-Buying a selfie with Tim downie, and he said he saw this costume online and asked for a selfie on his phone too ; ; <3
-The Gale hand in a portal cosplay just killed me, such a great idea!
-The whole Critical Role panel- but also the dance-off they did in the pre-panel show! They were all amazing, but especially the Percy cosplayer absolutely killing it at Cotton Eye Joe brought me so much joy.
A lot of people asked how we did the magnetic back staff- Odd has been posting some progress videos but we'll do a longer video in more detail soon for folks! It held up super well, easy to plonk on and off, and only fell off once when he walked in to a tree. But there's some info on it here- https://www.tiktok.com/@dm.odd
Olivia Cooke holding my commissioned painting! I gifted it to her and she loved it, showed the security guy and he was so disinterested haha. She looked amazing and was so kind too! 💚
I don't normally post on here, I usually just reblog stuff my brain enjoys, but if getting to actually meet the cast isn't reason enough to post something then I don't know what is.
Sam spotted us before our picture and looked super impressed by our cosplays, then Ashley told me she was proud of me then took it upon herself to wrap herself in my cloak ❤️
I got back from my first ever London comic con this week and it was a BLAST! I had to sleep for a few days to recover, but now I am back to drawing and feverishly catching up with everything.
Robin Hood was by far my most popular print at the con. I had no idea everyone would feel so called out by it XD it was truly wonderful hearing other people’s memories of watching the movie and feeling the same quiet fascination with him that I had, though it would be decades before I could put words to that feeling.
Currently, I’ve sold out of Robin Hood stickers and prints, but I’m ordering more, so those will be up on my Etsy asap. I’ll put a post out on here announcing my shop update as soon as it happens.
For those who visited my stall at comic con, thank you so so much for all your kind words. It was a wonderful weekend and I can’t wait to do it all over again.
