Bulwark of the Foggy Evening - Beorning
I’m preparing a couple of outfits for Farmers Faire in a week!
Meanwhile, I had made this one for one of my beornings that played up the default grey-blue of the starter gear and the default color of the Osgiliath heavy chest piece. For a luxuriously trimmed look, I looked for other pieces of similar trim color -- sort of a shire peach-like muted gold/brass. The Wildermore heavy crafted pieces seemed to fit that description, with the added bonus of a heavy plated look to match the chest. Similarly, the boots had such trim, although I'm pretty sure these boots share a skin with some other Rohan-era heavy boots.
Head: Worn Hood - default
Shoulder: Enduring Wildermore Shoulderguards of Skill - navy
Chest: Jacket of the Osgiliath Berserker - default
Glove: Enduring Wildermore Gauntlets of Skill - navy
Leg: --
Boot: Reclaimed Boots of the Warrior - steel blue
Back: Cloak of the Autumn Traveller - steel blue

Faire Dandy - Human Champion
A mildly extravagant outfit for a noble visiting farmers faire.
Farmers Faire is the time of year when I start thinking about early autumn, even though it’s now merged with summer fest. And with autumn, it is the best time to use lots of rich browns and warm red tones. In this outfit, I went with warm earthy greens paired with deep reds. This particular chest has very sharp trim. It has undyeable crimson/burgundy ish sleeves that I thought looked nice with a very warm green. To bring out the trim, I went with the Brawler starter capelet. The short length of the cape also gives off a more casual feel. Unfortunately, the sleeves and pant legs of the chest piece are bulkier than many of the older gear pieces, so there were not that many glove options that didn’t clip though.
To add some autumn cozy details, I went with the Westfold fur pauldrons and medium Thranduil boots. To distribute the brown fur tones throughout the outfit, I added the Bowmaster Gloves in walnut brown and the farmer hat in ranger green.
Head: Farmer's Fancy Wide-brimmed Hat - ranger green
Shoulder: Tactical Westfold Assault Shoulder Pads - olive
Chest: Enduring Wildermore Armour of Balance - ranger green
Glove: The Bowmaster's Gloves - walnut brown

Back: Worn Fighting Cloak - burgundy
Main-Hand: Sealed Guardian's Great Sword of the Third Age - lvl 57

Autumn Bard - Hobbit Minstrel
Comfy minstrel vibes for a hobbit visiting the local farmers faire!
Another autumn themed outfit, this time build around Angolham. Only the sleeves dye on that chest piece, so I wanted to bring out the sienna colors of the plate. The Learned hat has rune markings along the ribbon that is a similar tone as the chest piece. To balance the visual weight of the hat, I used the matching Boots of the Learned.
Next I wanted to add autumn leaf details. The Elegant Holbytla Shoulderguards come in a lovely brown tones, and I added extra crimson on the leaf shape outline. One of my favorite cloaks -- Cloak of the Autumn Traveller -- is a fantastic cloak with clear leaf details too. And it dyes beautifully. One more leaf detail is the Tawarwaith leggings. This piece dyes a little greyer, so I went with crimson for a more burgundy-ish result.
This outfit is not very sharp in terms of trim details or color blocking. So for the gloves, I went with the light Bard gloves, which have a more natural sienna-ish detailing, along with a little fur trim.
Of course, for a minstrel, a suitable instrument is a must. The Bardic fiddle comes in a rich mahogany color, with a bright trim that is similar to the leaf trim of the cloak.
Head: Ceremonial Hat of the Learned - red
Shoulder: Elegant Holbytla Shoulderguards - crimson
Chest: Angolham - burgundy
Glove: Supple Gloves of Bard's Honour - sienna
Leg: Tawarwaith Leggings of the Awakened - crimson
Boot: Ceremonial Boots of the Learned - crimson
Back: Cloak of the Autumn Traveller - burgundy
Main-Hand: Egnassigil
Off-hand: Shining Shield of Determination
Ranged: Bardic Fiddle

Tavern Charm - Hobbit Guardian
The new Innkeeper’s Dress dyes in a washed out tone, with an undyeable brown section at the upper torso. So I decided to play up the brown tones, and went with a rust dye that resulted in a golden hue. To highlight the gold, I used the Songmaster’s Hat with bright gold trim and the Traditional Holbytla Mantle in gold for a rustic feel.

Leisurely - Hobbit Minstrel
The new Robe of Leisure comes from the festivity tokens and has large sections of undyeable dirty white. The gold trim also has a bit of a greenish undertone, making the trim a bit of a garish yellow color. I’m not sure I’m a fan of it, but decided to emphasize the bright yellow tone of the trim. I went with the Bounder hat’s bright yellow ribbon along with the bright yellow gems of the Threshold cloak.
Head: Bounder's Feather Cap - forest green
Shoulder: Elegant Holbytla Mantle - gold
Chest: Robe of Leisure - rivendell green
Glove: Cosmetic Gloves of the Gabil'akka - umber

Unity - War-steed
» Companion to Unity (Tunic ver.) & Unity (Robes ver.) «
Matching war-steed outfit for the Unity outfit set. :>
I focused on the turquoise and gold palette. Since the Unity outfit set is based on the Alliance of the Third Age cloak with the entwining branches theme, I went for pieces that had similarly prominent gold filigree detailing. The Forest Spring pieces fit well and it’s leafy detail also complement the flowers/nature themes in the outfit.
To bring more plants throughout the war-steed outfit, I used my favorite Lasgalen Tail. Both Unity outfits made heavy use of bold and bright gold details, so I opted for the Regal Revelry head-piece and Unflagging Dragon leggings for some equally bold gold details. If you’d like a little extra golden glow, Lamp of the Northern Herald is an excellent accessory choice (second image).
Halter: Head-piece of Regal Revelry - turquoise
Caparison: Caparison of the Forest Spring - turquoise

Accessory: Lamp of the Northern Herald

Pelt: Solid War-steed - white

Unity (Robes ver.) - Elf Loremistress
» Companion to Unity (Tunic ver.) «
While I was building the tunic version of the Unity outfit, I had thought to use the Robe of the Lady’s Wisdom because of how the entwined branch detail on the back of the robes complemented the entwined branches of the cloak. Since this version of the outfit focused heavily on that “entwining” theme, I used the Mantle of Entwining Blossoms. This mantle is a bright gold that complements the bold golds of the robe that usually overpowers other gold trims in this game.
Boots of Bright Company dye well and when dyed gold, also match the heavy gold tones of the torso. I used the medium Threshold bracers because of the bright yellow gem detail, but it only peeks out from certain angles. Thus, I would consider that piece to be optional.
To match the tunic version of the Unity outfit, I also used the Poinsettia Crown in gold. For the weapon, I went with the level 59 third age loremaster staff, which has a butterfly shape. The gold of the weapon is a bit darker, so I added the light aura to brighten it.
Head: Poinsettia Crown - gold
Shoulder: Mantle of Entwining Blossoms
Chest: Robe of the Lady's Wisdom - turquoise
Glove: Lesser Agile Bracers of the Threshold - turquoise
Leg: --
Boot: Boots of Bright Company - gold
Back: Alliance of the Third Age Silk Cloak - default
Main-Hand: Sealed Lore-master's Staff of the Third Age (lvl 59) - light aura

Unity (Tunic ver.) - High Elf Minstrel
» Companion to Unity (Robes ver.) «
I've been waiting to use the Alliance of the Third Age cloak for the Midsummer festival since it fits well thematically~! Unity is a pair of outfits for the Great Wedding, featuring shades of turquoise and silvery gold accents.
The cloak’s default color is a muted turquoise, so I went with pieces with a slightly muted tone such that turquoise dye wouldn’t stand out too much. The trims are a blend of muted earthy gold and silver. Many Mordor pieces fit this theme so I went with the medium Alliance top, which has silver filigree trim and gold tinted dyeable sections.
I used the Dirge-singer bracers and Hopeful Melody shoes to bring the turquoise throughout the outfit with some more gold trim. And of course, for formal occasions such as the Great Wedding, an elaborate circlet is a must. I used the Poinsettia Crown in gold for some extra volume around the head and I liked how the leaves have a bit of gold along the edges.
Also made a matching war-steed outfit for this one! Details to in a later post.
Head: Poinsettia Crown - gold
Shoulder: Invader's Embossed Mantle - turquoise
Chest: Reinforced Hauberk of the Last Alliance - default
Glove: Dirge-singer's Bracers - turquoise
Leg: --
Boot: Shoes of the Hopeful Melody - turquoise
Back: Alliance of the Third Age Silk Cloak - default

Raven Assassin Reprise - Elf Huntress
» LOTRO À LA MODE ANNIVERSARY «
I have been creating LOTRO outfits in the privacy of my kinship’s forums for over six years by the time Lotro à la Mode went public on April 7, 2020 (IG: @leafyfoots). At the time, I felt a gloomy storm cloud constantly looming over me, and just really had to shit-post to give myself some outlet... to keep my thoughts from piling up. About a year later, this blog was created as a way to help better organize my many outfits I had shared. As time passed, I think I’ve grown more accustomed to the flexibility that this blog provides over the more structured format of Instagram. I am still updating both platforms with my cosmetic adventures, albeit not as frequently as before.
To celebrate, today we’re revisiting a very old outfit of mine from 2014. The file is named Raven Assassin, so I assume that’s the theme I was going for. Despite the theme though, it was not a burglar outfit, though perhaps it would be better suited as such. Since it’s been a good several years, I’ve reinterpreted this outfit with the cosmetic collection I have built up today.
The first thing I did was pulling up all of my raven themed items. There is the Raven Mask used in the original outfit, as well as the feathered shoulders from Ravenhill and the Raven Cosmetic Wings from Harvestmath. The wing cosmetics have a very distinctive silhouette that doesn’t quite fit the older feel of this outfit, and the original outfit used the Ceremonial Wig-feld cloak with a wing pattern. I tried using the feathered Cloak of the Autumn Wanderer instead to keep the wing-theme with a more subtle look, but the base grey/black undertone didn’t quite match the gold trim. I opted for the Bridge-warden cloak in the end. The shoulders and mask have clashing metal trims, so I’ve brought both silver and gold trims more prominently throughout the rest of the outfit using the same Marchwarden armour.
Cosmetic weapons did not exist just yet at the time of the original outfit creation, so this time I can select some appropriate weaponry!
And of course, this toon has also progressed through many regions to reach end game a few times over, so here’s an attempt at a matching war-steed outfit.
Head: Raven Festival Mask - navy
Shoulder: Dís's Spare Pauldrons - navy
Chest: Footman’s Armour - navy (T6 tailor)
Glove: Hardened Steel Dunlending Gauntlets - grey
Leg: Muta’s Silent Leggings - navy
Boot: Dolen-lhopan - navy
Back: Recovered Cloak of the Bridge-warden - steel blue
Main-Hand: Invader’s Nimble Spear
Off-hand: Keen Entwash Dagger
Ranged: Great River Bow of Precision
Halter: Head-piece of Entwining Blossoms
Caparison: Caparison of Summer’s Night - navy
Saddle: Saddle of Summer’s Light
Accessory: Lamp of the Harbinger
Hooves: War-steed’s Leggings of Winter’s Light
Tail: Tail of the Gloaming Autumn - black chestnut
Pelt: Simple Hide - black chestnut

A Rosy Haze - High Elf Runekeeper
It's been awhile, but here's a simple outfit for everyone's favorite flowerbed!
I'm still on hiatus from the game, but I do miss the scenery of Middle Earth.
I've been wanting to use the Shoulders of the Lady's Foresight for a while now, but never encountered something I felt particularly strongly about. These days I've been using a lot of roses and pinks in outfits, so I thought I'd use some in LOTRO too.
The default colors of Arwen's Dinner dress match the rose dye nicely. The swirls on the dress also fit with the detailing on the Elf Lord cloak. For running animations where the shoes peek out a bit, I used the Boots of the Bright Company in the default white that matches the silver details of the shoulders and cloak too. For the most part though, the shoes are not seen.

Shoulder: Shoulders of the Lady's Foresight - rose
Chest: Simbelmyne Dress - rose / Arwen's Dinner Dress - default

Starlit Warrior - Elf Huntress
The matching outfit for the Starlight WS outfit.
For LOTRO's 15th anniversary, we have been graced with starlight cloaks and WS cosmetics! These cosmetics have a twinkling effect and look stunning at night time. The cloak reminded me a of the Cloak of Undarkened Skies, and has a default shade of blue that matches well with the Faramir's Faithful heavy set, so I used the chestpiece with the star detail. To add more star details, the Shoulder's of the Lady's Foresight has a star-like design and a bit of undyeable gold details. Combining this with the chestpiece in Shire Peach, we have a festive blue/gold/silver palette.
To add some more silver and gold near the feet, I used the Ceremonial Plated Greaves in the default color, and Celeborn's Circlet for a cool-toned gold. The Strong Gauntlets of the Towers also adds some bright white with gold-tones. For the weapon, the Dagger of the Eglan-soldier has both silver blade and gold details along the blade, which worked well with the rest of the outfit. Of course, I added the Light Aura, which has a similar effect as legendary weapons with no damage type.
For the matching war-steed outfit, I wanted to mix the starlight cosmetics with other silver details. The Caparison of Rivendell has fanciful detailing that complements the grandeur of the Starlit Warrior outfit. To add more silver-plate details, I used the Leg-guards of the Dead City and the Tail of the Reminiscing Dragon.
Head: Celeborn's Circlet - default
Shoulder: Shoulders of the Lady's Foresight - steel blue
Chest: Breastplate of Faramir's Faithful - shire peach
Glove: Strong Gauntlets of the Towers - default

Prismatic Petals - Elf Huntress
The one thing that always stands out to me in LOTRO (aside from the stunning scenery naturally), is the quality of the textures. I've had this robe for a while and just look at the detail of the embroidery along the hem -- subtle, but super pretty!
For a bright and festive look, I broke out the shire plum dye again; this time, I aimed to match the Crown of Summer Flowers. Those flowers are very bright and don't match the more natural colors of the rest of the game, so a festival outfit seemed most appropriate. The bright pink flowers don't dye, but the daisies and small off-white flowers get tinted with dye. Sienna seems to approximately match the lavender and orange undyeable sections of the robe, and the undyeable pink is similar enough to shire plum...albeit a couple shades more orangey.
To echo the gold filigree of the robe, our favorite Brilliant Forest Defender pieces came in handy. These pieces match have that iridescent look that really bring out that lavender details of spot of the robe. These do add a litle more green spots that I'd prefer though.
To bring some of the flower detail throughout the outfit, I used Gardening Gloves with the little daisy detail and the matching Gardening Boots for a lightweight look. Note that the gardening items dye a little bit more greyish, so if you have access to it, sunset orange on the boots will bring out the rich oranges of the robe better.
For the cloak, Simbelmyne Cloak has another flower detail. Cloak of the Northern Lights is also a good option with a nice gradient of colors used, but I felt that was a little too detailed when the robe itself already had quite a bit of detail.
Head: Crown of Summer Flowers - sienna
Shoulder: Brilliant Forest Defender's Shoulderguards - rose
Chest: Estelham - shire plum
Glove: Gardening Gloves - orange
Leg: --
Boot: Gardening Boots - sunset orange/orange
Back: Simbelmyne Cloak - rose
Main-Hand: --
Off-hand: Egnassigil
Ranged: Cúrandir
