hmmg. something about potted plants dying in the hotel. it's not a consistent motif but there's ted barrow's plant that would have drowned in the downpour from the window but is instead shoved out and falls to its death. then the dying potted plants in janet hurd's room which may have thrived outside but are confined & constrained to fit an aesthetic, ultimatley neglected and left to rot. [theres peas in here voice] there's.... THEMES in here.....
