When a contractual party breaches the contract the other party has a number of legal remedies for the loss caused by such breach including lawsuits and arbitration. But when the crux of the contract is performance specific or of a unique transaction and no amount of money can compensate the aggrieved party, then Specific Performance of Contract comes as a legal remedy for the aggrieved party. Specific performance of a contract is a remedy used by the Courts when in the breach of a particular contract the Court sees no other remedy (monetary) to compensate the aggrieved party.

India Considers Net Zero Goal Around 2050, a Decade Before China: Report
There is no consensus among ministries over the net-zero target, said people familiar with the matter, as India's fossil fuel use is set to rise in the coming decade
Topics - Climate Change
Tumblr media
Top Indian government officials are debating whether to set a goal to zero out its greenhouse gas emissions by mid-century, an ambitious target that would require overhauling its coal-dependent economy.
Officials close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi are working with senior bureaucrats and foreign advisers to consider ways to meet the 2050 deadline, according to people familiar with the matter. A 2047 target is also being considered, they said, to mark the centenary of India’s independence from British rule. The people asked not to be identified because the discussions are private.
India, the world’s third-biggest emitter, has come under pressure to make a net-zero pledge ahead of global climate talks in Glasgow, Scotland, this year. Signatories of the Paris Agreement are expected to boost their commitments to slow global warming, and China -- the biggest polluter and a rival of India -- won international praise for setting a 2060 net-zero target in September.
The timing and scope of India’s announcement could depend on pledges other nations make on April 22, when U.S. President Joe Biden is set to gather world leaders for an Earth Day summit. The event is the first such meeting Biden will host as president, and he’s asked climate envoy John Kerry to secure fresh commitments from attendees.
The Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change in New Delhi didn’t immediately respond to requests seeking comment.
“Every single country has to step up ambition,” Kerry told the BBC during his visit to the U.K. earlier this month. He explicitly included India while singling out “the 20 countries that are the equivalent of 81% of global emissions.”
Once the U.S. adopts a widely anticipated net-zero goal, nine of the 10 largest economies will have made pledges to neutralize emissions. If India does so, too, it would mark a significant step toward the Paris Agreement aspiration of keeping average temperatures from rising more than 1.5°C above the pre-industrial period.
There are signs that support is growing domestically for India to set a net-zero goal. Jayant Sinha, a member of parliament with Modi’s Bhartiya Janata Party, said on March 12 that he had submitted a private members’ bill in the parliament that would make a 2050 target legally binding.
“A Net Zero Bharat will not only lead to a more prosperous future for India, but it will also play a big role to save the world,” wrote Sinha in an opinion article for the Economic Times.
On March 16, T.S. Singh Deo, a cabinet minister for the eastern state of Chhattisgarh, said the area’s health sector is setting a 2050 net-zero target. “Climate change is one of the biggest challenges being faced by the world today,” he wrote on Twitter. “I am pleased to make our small contribution.”
 Big Hurdles
Over the past decades, developing countries have contributed far less greenhouse gases to the atmosphere than nations that industrialized earlier. As of 2018, India ranked sixth among top historical polluters, after the U.S., China, Russia, Germany, the U.K. and Japan.
Even the Paris accord acknowledges this reality, noting that nations have “common but differentiated responsibilities.” The clause has been used to support arguments that rich countries should cut their emissions faster, allowing poorer countries to use fossil fuels for a bit longer to help them achieve the prosperity which the West has enjoyed for decades.
“For countries such as India, the most important thing is to achieve the greatest development for the fewest additional emissions,” said Navroz Dubash, a professor at the Centre for Policy Research and editor of the book “India in a Warming World.” “You don’t want to do what China did, which is rapidly increase emissions and then have to rapidly decrease them. You want India to figure out ways to avoid locking in high-carbon infrastructure.”
Internal Debate
Some officials in the government want to see what the U.S. says about the Paris agreement goals at the April 22 meeting before making any commitment, including whether Western nations change the Paris goalposts in any way, the people said.
India’s existing commitments are already relatively ambitious, with nonprofit Climate Action Tracker giving it the best rating among large economies. The country wants to expand renewable power to 450 gigawatts by 2030, almost five times existing capacity, and to cut emissions intensity by at least a third from 2005 levels by the end of the decade.
Achieving net-zero emissions would require India to set even more aggressive renewable energy targets, electrify not only its transport sector but most industrial processes, find solutions for hard-to-abate sectors like construction and agriculture, and dramatically boost commitments to reduce consumption of almost every conceivable product.
With a growing population and still-industrializing economy, a net-zero goal for India will be a much bigger lift than for most economies. “The country may not agree to any net-zero targets by 2050 without external financial support,” said BloombergNEF analyst Shantanu Jaiswal.
Modi will also need to navigate potential pushback from inside his government. India’s Power Ministry previously delayed a drive to cap toxic emissions from power plants, arguing the sector couldn’t meet an original 2017 deadline to make improvements on discharges of pollutants like sulfur dioxide and mercury.
There is no consensus among ministries over the net-zero target, the people familiar said, with some officials arguing that India shouldn’t bow to pressure given its fossil fuel use is set to rise in the coming decade.
Still, Modi has surprised his own government before with policy announcements that have had wide-ranging impact. In 2016, he shocked the nation by banning some 86% of currency notes overnight in a landmark demonetization program, while last year he gave no warning in locking down the country to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
While a net-zero goal would offer clarity on India’s climate stance, it won’t succeed without short-term targets, said Jonathan Elkind, a senior research scholar at Columbia University. Without clear policy routes, he said, “any long-term goal will remain elusive.”

World refugee numbers rise (Foreign Policy) A new report by the United Nations refugee agency found that the number of refugees worldwide increased by 9 million in 2019, adding to a total of roughly 80 million people. Only 107,000 refugees were resettled in third countries, with Canada receiving the most with 31,100. The United States received the second highest number with 27,500 resettled in 2019.
Migrant farmworkers die in Canada, and Mexico wants answers (Washington Post) Each summer for the past five years, Aaron has traveled from his home in Mexico to Canada as one of the tens of thousands of temporary foreign workers who seed, tend and harvest the crops that keep the country fed. This year’s journey was unique. Flights were limited. There were temperature screenings and questionnaires before he took off and after he landed. On arriving in British Columbia this month, he was checked into a hotel for a 14-day quarantine. But in this year of the coronavirus, the precautions have not kept all of Canada’s migrant farmworkers safe. At least 600 have contracted covid-19, and at least two, both Mexicans, have died. Mexico, which provides nearly half of Canada’s migrant farmworkers, has become so concerned that officials said this week they’re hitting the “pause button” on plans to send up to 5,000 more to Canada until they’re satisfied the conditions that led to the deaths will be rectified—threatening a labor crunch for Canada’s already squeezed agricultural sector. The pandemic has highlighted Canada’s dependence on the 60,000 temporary foreign workers who arrive each year from countries such as Mexico and Jamaica as part of a federal government program, and without whom hundreds of thousands of tons of blueberries, asparagus stalks and grapes would wither on the vine.
DACA lives on (NYT) When this country started hearing a decade ago about Dreamers—people who came to the United States as small children without legal permission—many of them were in their teens or early 20s. These Dreamers are now full adults, with careers and families, and many have spent years anxiously wondering whether they would be thrown out of the only country they’ve really known. Yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling, which barred President Trump from deporting the Dreamers anytime soon, came as a tremendous relief to them. “It feels amazing,” Vanessa Pumar, 31, an immigration lawyer who came from Venezuela at age 11, said. “I have been holding my breath. It feels like I can finally breathe.” Roberto G. Gonzales, a Harvard professor who has been studying DACA since it went into effect in 2012, calls it “the most successful immigration policy in recent decades.” Gonzales explains: “Within a year, DACA beneficiaries were already taking giant steps. They found new jobs. They increased their earnings. They acquired driver’s licenses. And they began to build credit through opening bank accounts and obtaining credit cards.”
AP-NORC poll: Majority of Americans support police protests (AP) Ahead of the Juneteenth holiday weekend’s demonstrations against systemic racism and police brutality, a majority of Americans say they approve of recent protests around the country. Many think they’ll bring positive change. And despite the headline-making standoffs between law enforcement and protesters in cities nationwide, the poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research also finds a majority of Americans think law enforcement officers have generally responded to the protests appropriately. Somewhat fewer say the officers used excessive force. The findings follow weeks of peaceful protests and unrest in response to the death of George Floyd, a black man who died pleading for air on May 25 after a white Minneapolis police officer held his knee on Floyd’s neck for nearly eight minutes. A dramatic change in public opinion on race and policing has followed, with more Americans today than five years ago calling police violence a very serious problem that unequally targets black Americans.
Atlanta police call out sick over charges in fatal shooting (AP) Atlanta police officers called out sick to protest the filing of murder charges against an officer who shot a man in the back, while the interim chief acknowledged members of the force feel abandoned amid protests demanding massive changes to policing. Interim Chief Rodney Bryant told The Associated Press in an interview that the sick calls began Wednesday night and continued Thursday, but said the department had sufficient staff to protect the city. It’s not clear how many officers called out. “Some are angry. Some are fearful. Some are confused on what we do in this space. Some may feel abandoned,” Bryant said of the officers. “But we are there to assure them that we will continue to move forward and get through this.”
Beware the trampoline (NYT) Sales of outdoor equipment has surged as families try to keep their children entertained while on lockdown. But that has led to a spike in injuries from bikes, scooters, and especially trampolines. Some E.R. doctors have begun referring to trampolines as “orthopedic fracture machines.” Many injuries occur when multiple children, especially a mix of older and younger ones, are jumping on a trampoline at the same time. That’s what happened to the daughter of our colleague Adam Pasick, who broke her tibia on a trampoline on Wednesday. Stay safe out there, kids!
Missing in Mexico (Foreign Policy) Families of people thought to have gone missing amid Mexico’s drug war surrounded a motorcade carrying President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the state of Veracruz on Monday demanding he do more to bring their loved ones home. Some 61,000 people are estimated to be missing in the country, and relatives fear that austerity measures, which could see a 75 percent budget cut to a government agency that provides funding and support to families of the disappeared, will only make matters worse. While coronavirus-related lockdowns have stalled search efforts, gang violence and disappearances have continued.
France and Turkey spar over ship incident (Foreign Policy) Tensions between France and Turkey rose after French Defense Minister Florence Parly said a Turkish ship refused to identify itself and its mission after an approach by a French vessel on a NATO mission to check on suspected weapons smuggling to Libya. Turkish sailors donned bulletproof vests and took up positions behind light weaponry during the incident, according to Parly. “This act was extremely aggressive and cannot be one of an ally facing another ally who is doing its work under NATO command,” Parly said. Turkey called France’s claims “baseless.” NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters that NATO is investigating the incident “to bring full clarity into what happened.”
Anger Surges in India Over Deadly Border Brawl With China (NYT) An Indian government minister has called for Chinese restaurants to be closed. Other Indian officials have suddenly put contracts to Chinese companies under review. And crowds of men are now smashing Chinese-made televisions in the street. A wave of anti-Chinese anger is cresting across India as the nation struggles to absorb the loss of 20 Indian soldiers beaten to death this week by Chinese troops in a high-altitude brawl along India’s disputed border with China. And the tensions are hardly easing. Sonam Joldan, a teacher in the Ladakh region near the India-China border, reported on Thursday seeing a line of 100 Indian Army trucks heading toward the front line, wending its way up the Himalayan mountains “like a caravan of ants.”
China charges Canadians with espionage (Foreign Policy) Chinese prosecutors announced today that they have charged two Canadians in Chinese detention with espionage. Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor have been held by Chinese authorities since 2018 in what is seen as a reciprocal move by Beijing after the arrest of Meng Wanzhou, the chief financial officer of Huawei, by Canadian police. Meng is currently under house arrest in Vancouver while fighting a Canadian court battle to halt her extradition to the United States.
Singapore opens gyms, dining out as China outbreak steadies (AP) Singaporeans can wine and dine at restaurants, work out at the gym and socialize with no more than five people at a time as of Friday, when the city-state removed most of its pandemic lockdown restrictions. Getting back to business in Singapore came as China declared a fresh outbreak in Beijing under control after confirming 25 new cases among some 360,000 people tested. That was up by just four from a day earlier. Singapore’s malls, gyms, massage parlors, parks and other public facilities reopened their doors with strict social distancing and other precautions.
Palestinians fear displacement from an annexed Jordan Valley (AP) For generations, the people of Fasayil herded animals on the desert bluffs and palm-shaded lowlands of the Jordan Valley. Today, nearly every man in the Palestinian village works for Jewish settlers in the sprawling modern farms to the north and south. The grazing lands to the west and east, leading down to the banks of the biblical Jordan River, have been swallowed up by the settlements or fenced off by the Israeli military. So instead of leading sheep out to pasture, the men rise before dawn to work in the settlements for around $3 an hour—or they move away. “Everyone here works in the settlements, there’s nothing else,” said Iyad Taamra, a member of the village council who runs a small grocery store. “If you have some money you go somewhere else where there is a future.” Palestinians fear communities across the Jordan Valley will meet a similar fate if Israel proceeds with its plans to annex the territory, which accounts for around a quarter of the occupied West Bank and was once seen as the breadbasket of a future Palestinian state. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to annex the valley and all of Israel’s far-flung West Bank settlements, in line with President Donald Trump’s Middle East plan, which overwhelmingly favors Israel and has been rejected by the Palestinians. The process could begin as soon as July 1.
Saudi Arabia’s crown prince uses travel restrictions to consolidate power (Washington Post) The formal term in Arabic is mana’a al-safar, or “travel bans.” But the practical effect of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s policy of restricting journeys abroad by what appear to be thousands of Saudis is to intimidate those he regards as political threats. “This is hostage-taking as a tool of governing,” argued Khalid Aljabri, a Saudi cardiologist who lives in Toronto. Two of his younger siblings, Omar and Sarah, now both in their early 20s, were banned from travel in June 2017 shortly after MBS, as he’s known, became crown prince. MBS wanted leverage against their father, a former Saudi intelligence official named Saad Aljabri, hoping to force him home to face corruption allegations that Khalid says are false. An investigation shows that this practice of restricting foreign travel is much broader than generally recognized and is part of a larger system of organized repression in the kingdom. MBS has used these tools to consolidate power as he moves toward what some U.S. officials believe may be an attempt, perhaps this year, to seize the full powers of government from his ailing father, King Salman. The total number of Saudis who are subject to travel restrictions, according to Saudi and U.S. analysts, probably runs into the thousands. Those who are banned don’t usually know about their status until they go to the airport or try to cross a border post, where they’re stopped and told that exit is forbidden on order of the state security organization, which operates through the royal court. No formal, written explanation is typically given.
Zimbabwe on the brink (Foreign Policy) Three female opposition activists in Zimbabwe have been forced to remain in prison following a bail hearing on Monday as they face charges of fabricating allegations of being abducted, tortured, and humiliated by police. The charges against the women are widely thought to be politically motivated, while the U.N. called on the authorities to “urgently prosecute and punish the perpetrators of this outrageous crime.” The case against the women, one of whom, Joana Mamombe, is a member of Parliament, comes at a tense time in the country as inflation has risen to 785 percent. The price of bread and sugar has surged by 30 percent over the past week, evoking memories of the hyperinflation seen in 2008 that rendered the country’s currency worthless. Economic crisis and rising public anger have led to mounting speculation that a coup could be in the works. The national security council of Zimbabwe dismissed the rumors in a press conference last week, saying they were being fueled by allies of the late Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe.

𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 Marketing 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬  𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞!
Healthcare professionals need to think about how to use resources to inform the public ( including digital & social media, websites, and mindfulness movements).
Some of the tools that are important for digital communication are-
1. Healthcare Websites- Largely functional websites act as the central core of content and information for your cases. A well-designed, mobile-friendly website gives your cases the right print about your healthcare services and educates them to learn further about complaint-related symptoms and their best available treatment.
2. Social Media Awareness-social media for healthcare professionals actually helps in making effects more accessible for patients! From tweets to Facebook posts, healthcare interpreters are turning to social networks to educate patients, increase engagement, promote mindfulness and share correct health messaging. As the times have changed and we see a sudden rise in people getting more serious with their health, and at the same time, there's an increase in the use of social media platforms. We must take advantage of the same and give legal information about healthcare to our cases.
3. Tele- medicine-With the entire country having been put under a lockdown to check the spread of the coronavirus, telemedicine, or the remote opinion of patients through electronic communication, has come as a boon to people seeking treatment for-critical affections. Telemedicine has three situations Opinion through voice calls, videotape calls, and through electronic mediums after covering real-time data entered through outfits like a glucometer or a blood pressure observer.
4. EMR Software’s-EMR operations have evolved into further than just mere operations, they've stirred a revolution in the health assiduity because they're accessible, industrious, detailed, and easy to use. Now there’s no need to keep track of tedious hard clones of medical records for cases.
The cases’ reports and tradition notes can be fluently saved using pall installations. Indeed medical staff can store cases data and keep the record in a precise manner.
Also, with secure payment gateways integrated into healthcare mobile apps, bill payment becomes a hassle-free process.
5. Instructional Videos-YouTube is an excellent platform for healthcare professionals. It enables patients to get a further real sense of the doctor’s approach and their work than reading blogs does. Another major prerequisite is that they get access to similar information absolutely free of cost, making it possible for doctors to reach a large number of people.

“”””In this interview, German microbiologist Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi sifts through the facts and fictions of the coronavirus pandemic. Together with Karina Reiss, Ph.D., he’s written two books on this subject, starting with “Corona False Alarm? Facts and Figures,” published in October 2020, followed by “Corona Unmasked: New Facts and Figures.”
The second book is currently only available in German, but you can download a free chapter of “Corona Unmasked” in English on FiveDoves.com.
Bhakdi’s Medical Credentials
Bhakdi graduated from medical school in Germany in 1970. After a year of clinical work, he joined the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology, where he remained for four years as a post-doc.
There, he also began researching immunology. Eventually, he ended up chairing the department of medical, microbiology and hygiene at the University of Mainz, where he worked for 22 years until his retirement nine years ago. During that time, Bhakdi also worked on vaccine development, and says he’s “certainly pro-vax with regards to the vaccinations that work and that are meaningful.”
Much of his research focused on what’s called the complement system. When activated, the complement system ends up working in such a way that it destroys rather than aids your cells. Interestingly enough, SARS-CoV-2 uses this very system to its advantage, turning your immune system toward a path of self-destruction.
The same self-destructive path also appears to be activated by the COVID shots, which is part of why Bhakdi believes they are the greatest threat humanity has ever faced. “It is our duty to aggressively inform people about the dangers that they are subjecting themselves and their loved ones to by this ‘vaccination,’” he says.
How Effective Are the COVID Shots?
While the COVID injections have been characterized as being somewhere around 95% effective against SARS-CoV-2 infection, this claim is the product of statistical obfuscation. In short, they’ve conflated relative risk reduction and absolute risk reduction. The absolute risk reduction is actually right around 1% for all currently available COVID shots.1
In "Outcome Reporting Bias in COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine Clinical Trials"2 Ron Brown, Ph.D. calculates the absolute risk reduction for Pfizer’s and Moderna’s injections, based on their own clinical trial data, so that they can be compared to the relative risk reduction reported by these companies. Here’s a summary of his findings:
Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine BNT162b2 — Relative risk reduction: 95.1%. Absolute risk reduction: 0.7%
Moderna vaccine mRNA-1273 — Relative risk reduction: 94.1%. Absolute risk reduction 1.1%
In a July 1, 2021, commentary in The Lancet Microbe,3 Piero Olliaro, Els Torreele and Michel Vaillant also argue for the use of absolute risk reduction when discussing vaccine efficacy with the public. They too went through the calculations, coming up with the following:
Pfizer/BioNTech — Relative risk reduction: 95%. Absolute risk reduction: 0.84%
Moderna — Relative risk reduction: 94%. Absolute risk reduction: 1.2%
Gamaleya (Sputnic V) — Relative risk reduction: 91%. Absolute risk reduction: 0.93%
Johnson & Johnson — Relative risk reduction: 67%. Absolute risk reduction: 1.2%
AstraZeneca/Oxford — Relative risk reduction: 67%. Absolute risk reduction: 1.3%
What Kind of Protection Do the COVID Shots Provide?
Aside from providing insignificant protection in terms of your absolute risk reduction, it’s important to realize that they do not provide immunity. All they can do is reduce the severity of the symptoms of infection. According to Bhakdi, they fail even at this.
“They showed absolutely zero [benefit in the clinical trials],” he says. “This is the ridiculousness. People don't understand that they're being fooled and have been fooled all along. Let's take the one of these Pfizer trials: 20,000 healthy people were vaccinated and another 20,000 people were not vaccinated.
And then they observed, over a period of 12 weeks or so, how many cases they found in the vaccinated group and how many cases they found the non-vaccinated. What they found was that less than 1% of the vaccinated group got COVID-19 and less than 1% in the non-vaccinated group also got COVID-19.
The difference was 0.8 to 0.1%, which is nothing, considering the fact that they were not even looking at severe cases. They were looking at people with a positive PCR test — which as we all now know is worthless — plus one symptom, which could be cough or fever.
That is not a severe case of COVID-19. Any vaccination that is going to get authorized must be shown to protect against severe illness and death, and this has definitely not been shown. So, forget authorization. It can't be authorized, not by any normal means.
Now [the COVID injections do not have] full authorization, it's an emergency authorization, which again is absolute bullshit, since we know the infection fatality rate of this disease or virus is not greater than that of seasonal flu. John Ioannidis has published these numbers, which have never been contested by anyone in the world and cannot be contested.
If you are under 70 years of age and have no severe preexisting illness, you can hardly die [from SARS-CoV-2 infection]. So, there is no fatality rate that can be reduced.
And for people who are elderly and have preexisting illness, as we know from Dr. Peter McCullough and his colleagues' work, there are very good means and medicines to treat this virus so that the fatality rates go down another 70 to 80%, which means there is no ground for emergency use whatsoever.
This means the FDA should be able to be forced to retract this emergency use authorization — unless they are in league with whoever wants to do this.”
I neglected to follow-up on his comment about 40,000 people being equally divided between the injection and no injection groups in the COVID injection trials. A few months ago, they actually abandoned the non-injection arm of the trial, so no there is no control group anymore.
The justification was that the injection was too important to deny it to the control group. It’s just another sneaky way to skirt around reporting all the adverse effects occurring in the injection group.
That said, it’s worth repeating that the FDA can only grant emergency use authorization for a pandemic drug or vaccine if there’s no safe and effective preexisting treatment or alternative. Since there are several such alternatives, the FDA is legally required to revoke the emergency authorization for these shots.
Evidence of Increased Infection Risk After Injection
Presently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claims some 95% of SARS-CoV-2 infections resulting in hospitalization are occurring among the unvaccinated. This too is a statistical fiction, as they’re using data from January through June 2021, when most of the American public were unvaccinated.
Looking at more recent data, we’re finding that the majority of severe cases and hospitalizations are actually occurring among those that received the COVID jab. Unfortunately, as noted by Bhakdi:
“It's all manipulated. And, if someone wants to manipulate something and are in a position to then propagate it, you have no chance of analyzing it and telling people because we have no voice in this affair. When we stand up and tell people this, they just turn around and say that's not the truth.”
Disturbingly, we’re now starting to see the first indications of antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE), which many scientists were concerned about from the very beginning. India, for example, where 10% of the population has been “vaccinated,” is now seeing very severe cases of COVID-19. Bhakdi says:
“What we're witnessing in India and probably also in Israel is the immune dependent enhancement of disease … It's bound to happen. So, the people who are getting vaccinated now have to be fearful of the next wave of genuine infections, whether it's [SARS-CoV-2 variants] or any other coronaviruses, because they're all related and they will all be subject to immune dependent enhancement, obviously.”
Antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE), or paradoxical immune enhancement (PIE) refers to a condition where the vaccination results in the complete opposite of what you’re looking for. Rather than protect against the infection, the vaccine augments and worsens the infection.
ADE can occur through more than one mechanism, and Bhakdi is of the opinion that the enhancement is primarily due to over-reactive killer lymphocytes and secondary complement activation, both of which cause severe damage.
Antibodies Versus Lymphocytes
Bhakdi explains:
“There are two major arms of defense against viral infection. One is the antibodies that, if they are present, may prevent the virus from entering your cells. These are so-called neutralizing antibodies, which the vaccination is supposed to [produce].
But the antibodies are not at the place that they are needed, which is on the surface of the airway epithelium. They are in the blood, but not at the surface of the epithelium where the virus arrives. The second arm of immune defense then comes into play, and these are the lymphocytes.
There are different types of lymphocytes and I will simplify matters by saying the important lymphocytes are the so-called killer lymphocytes that sense whenever a virus product is being produced in the cell. They will then destroy the cells that harbor the virus and thus the factory is closed and you get well again.
That is the mechanism for how we can survive viral infections of the lung, and this happens all the time. So, the lymphocytes, in contrast to the antibodies, recognize many, many, many parts of the proteins. So, if a virus changes a little bit, it doesn't matter, because the waste products that are recognized by the killer lymphocytes remain very similar.
That is why all of us, and this is now known, all of us have memory lymphocytes in our lymph nodes and lymphoid organs that are trained to recognize these coronaviruses. And whether or not a mutant is there, it doesn't really matter, because they will recognize a mutant or variant.”
According to Bhakdi, coronaviruses can only undergo point mutations, meaning only one nucleotide at a time can be changed. The influenza virus, meanwhile, can undergo more radical mutations. For example, a flu virus can completely change its spike protein by swapping spike proteins with another virus that is simultaneously present.
This sort of shift is not possible with coronaviruses. Therefore, you will never have leaps in antigenic changes either for antibodies or for T-cell killer lymphocytes. That’s why the background immunity that evolves during the lifetime of a human being is very broad and solid.
Natural Immunity Is Far Superior to Vaccine-Induced Immunity
One of the most egregious nullifications of medical scientific truth is the claim that COVID “vaccination” confers superior protection compared than the natural immunity you get after you’ve been exposed to the virus and recover. The reality is that natural immunity is infinitely more superior to the vaccine-induced protection you get from these shots, which is both narrow and temporary.
The COVID shot produces antibodies against just one of the viral proteins, the spike protein, whereas natural immunity produces antibodies against all parts of the virus, plus memory T cells. As noted by Bhakdi:
“The very fact that the World Health Organization has changed the definition of herd immunity … is such a scandal. I'm at a loss of words to describe how ridiculous I find this all, that this is being accepted by our colleagues. How can the physicians and scientists of the world bear to listen to all this nonsense?”
How the COVID Shot Causes Damage
As explained by Bhakdi, when you get a COVID shot, genetic instructions are being injected into your deltoid muscle. Muscle drains into your lymph nodes, which in turn can enter your bloodstream. There may also be direct translocation from the muscle into smaller blood vessels.
Animal data submitted by Pfizer to Japanese authorities show the mRNA appeared within the blood within one or two hours of injection. The rapidity of it suggests the nano particles are translocated from the muscle directly into the blood, bypassing the lymph nodes.
Even microclots that don’t completely block the blood vessel can have serious ramifications. You can check for presence of microclots by performing a D-dimer blood test. If your D-dimer is elevated, you have clotting somewhere in your body.
Once inside your bloodstream, the genetic instructions are delivered to the cells available, namely your endothelial cells. These are the cells that line your blood vessels. These cells then start producing spike protein, as per the mRNA instructions. As the name implies, the spike protein looks like a sharp spike protruding from the cell wall, into the bloodstream.
Since they are not supposed to be there, your killer lymphocytes rush to the area, thinking the cells are infected. The killer lymphocytes attack the cells, which causes damage to the cell wall. This damage, in turn, provokes clot formation. We’re now seeing evidence that COVID shots are causing all manner of clotting issues, from microsized clots to massive clots stretching a foot or more in length.
Of course, when a large enough clot occurs in the heart, you end up with a heart attack. In the brain, you end up with stroke. But even microclots that don’t completely block the blood vessel can have serious ramifications. You can check for presence of microclots by performing a D-dimer blood test. If your D-dimer is elevated, you have clotting somewhere in your body.
How Vaccine-Induced Antibodies Can Cause Harm
But that’s not all. The anti-spike protein antibodies can also be harmful. Bhakdi explains:
“The other thing that has now emerged is just as frightening [as the clotting problem]. One to two weeks after the first jab, you start making antibodies in large amounts.
Now, when the second jab is done, and the spike proteins starts to project from the walls of your vessels into your bloodstream, it is not only met by the killer lymphocytes, but now the antibodies are also there and the antibodies activate [the] complement [system].
That was my first field of research. The first cascade system is the clotting system. Turn it on and the blood will clot. If you turn on the complement system with the antibodies that bind to your vessel wall, then this complement system will start creating holes in the vessel wall.
And you see these patients who have bleeding in the skin. Ask, where does that come from? Well, if you go around riddling your vessels with holes, you [get bleeding]. If the holes riddle vessels of the liver, or the pancreas or the brain, then the blood will seep through the vessels into the tissues …
[The COVID injections] are in your bloodstream for at least a week, and they will seep into any organ. And when those [organ] cells then start to make the spike protein themselves, then the killer lymphocytes will also seek and destroy them [in that organ, creating more damage and subsequent clotting].
What we are witnessing is one of the most fascinating experiments that could lead to massive autoimmune disease. When this will happen, God knows. And what this will lead to, God knows.”
COVID Jab May Trigger Latent Viruses and Cancer
The COVID jabs can also decimate your lymph nodes, as your lymph nodes are full of lymphocytes and other immune cells. Some of the lymphocytes will die immediately upon contact, causing inflammation.
Cells that don’t die and take up the mRNA and start producing spike protein will be recognized as virus producers and get attacked by the complement system. It essentially creates a war between some immune cells against other immune cells. As a result of this attack, your lymph nodes swell and become painful.
This is a serious problem, as the lymphocytes in your lymph nodes are lifelong sentinels that keep latent infection such as shingles under control. When they malfunction or are destroyed, these latent viruses can activate. This is why we’re seeing reports of shingles, lupus, herpes, Epstein-Barr, tuberculosis and other infections emerge as a side effect of the shots. Of course, certain cancers can also be affected.
“As we all know, tumors are forming every day in our bodies, but those tumor cells are recognized by our lymphocytes and then they're snuffed out,” Bhakdi says. “So, I am worried sick that the world is being goaded into taking something into the body that is going to change the whole face of medicine.”
Informed Consent Is Virtually Impossible
After giving this issue a great deal of thought, Bhakdi is convinced that the COVID injection campaign must be stopped.
“Gene-based vaccines are an absolute danger to mankind and their use at present violates the Nuremberg codex, such that everyone who is propagating their use should be put before tribunal,” Bhakdi says.
“Especially the vaccination of children is something that is so criminal that I have no words to express my horror … We are horribly worried that there's going to be an impact on fertility. And this will be seen in years or decades from now. And this is potentially one of the greatest crimes, simply one of the greatest crimes imaginable …
As we all know, it is laid down by the Nuremberg codex that in case experiments are to be conducted in humans, this can only be performed with informed consent.
Informed consent means that the person to be vaccinated has to be informed about all the risks, the risk benefit ratios, the potential dangers and what is known about side effects. This cannot be done with children, because children are not in the position to understand it.
Therefore, they cannot give informed consent. Therefore, they cannot be vaccinated. If anyone does that, he should be set before a tribunal. If grownups have been informed and want to get the shot, that's all right. But don't force anyone to get the shot. It has to be by informed consent only.”
Of course, informed consent is also virtually impossible even for adults, as they’re only given one side of the story. All side effects and risks are censored virtually everywhere and discussions about them are banned. The U.S. government is even pushing to criminalize discussion about COVID injection risks.
Where Do We Go From Here?
If you’ve already gotten one or two shots, there’s nothing you can do about that. Certainly, do not get a booster, as each booster is undoubtedly going to magnify the damage.
“In the end, I predict that we're going to see mass illnesses and deaths among people who normally would have wonderful lives ahead of them,” Bhakdi says. The question on people’s minds is, can anything be done to reverse the damage from these shots? As yet, we do not know.
However, if you have received one or more shots and develop symptoms of an infection, Bhakdi recommends treatment with hydroxychloroquine and/or ivermectin, such as the Zelenko protocol,4 and the MATH+ protocols,5 which have proven their effectiveness. It’s important to realize you may actually be more prone to serious infection, not less.
Nebulized hydrogen peroxide can also be used for prevention and treatment of COVID-19, as detailed in Dr. David Brownstein’s case paper6 and Dr. Thomas Levy’s free e-book, “Rapid Virus Recovery.” Whichever treatment protocol you use, make sure you begin treatment as soon as possible, ideally at first onset of symptoms.

Air Purification: Is it becoming the norm in Realty Development?
The rapidly changing scenario of real estate is a subject of the growing technology adoption for improving the quality of buildings. But, with the increasing airborne infection and pollution, the problem of poor air quality remains the same. This blog discusses how hoping for clean air technologies is becoming a new trend in the real estate industry to mitigate these issues.
Tumblr media
The Threat: Take a look at the danger lurking in the air.
➢ Covid 19 pandemic and airborne infections
At the end of  2019, we came to know about the coronavirus which slowly spread all over the world and left everyone struggling with the deadly airborne infection “COVID -19”. The Pandemic waves have struck the population and have locked it inside the homes. Many created a fear of transmission in people, even inside their homes they are suspicious about cases indicating that air conditioners are an important factor in the airborne spread. It has the air they are breathing
➢ Particulate Pollution and dirty air.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, airborne pollutants can be two to five times higher indoors than outdoors. People spend 90% of their time in their homes. The particulate pollution, VOCs, high level of CO2 and other gases poses a significant threat to human health starting from headaches, increased heart rates to severe diseases such as respiratory illness, heart attacks, cognitive diseases, etc.
➢ Sick Building Syndrome
WHO proposed a fact that up to 30% of new and renewed buildings that are subjected to legal actions are the results of complaints against sick building syndrome (seedbed for diseases due to poor indoor air quality). This can easily lead to multifold health diseases as well as contribute to building deterioration.
Why are developers focusing on building a Clean air property?
➢ Safety from the threat in the air
In current times, prospective home buyers are constantly trying to locate a familial space that has a “healthier and safer environment”. They are focusing on protection against airborne infections and Poor air quality for themselves and their families. It has now become more important than ever for real estate developers to deliver residential complexes that can enhance occupant’s health.
➢ The paradigm shift from health to safety
Their focus has shifted from “green homes” to “healthy homes”. Prospective buyers are looking for spaces where they feel safe. Developers keeping their kingpin in mind also want them to breathe in clean air and feel good about it.
➢ Clean air movement
Although the real estate industry was already on a path of delivering clean air in their properties. Covid-19 has poured accelerant on this trend. Many developers are of the opinion that technology that fixes the air quality issues will become widespread in homes by 2030.
➢ Value add-in Luxury
Air quality is now front of mind for buyers. These days it is a big issue.  In addition to all the facilities given inside the premises, Clean air makes itself a number one luxury offering that developers are offering to the buyers.
Central Air Purification System: new norm for Real estate.
Tumblr media
Taking air purification to a new level, the developers are adding central air purification systems as a clean solution to purify the air inside the premises.
But why a central air purification system? It is because, unlike portable air filters that only purify single rooms, a central air purification system can be connected directly to the building’s HVAC system. These can eliminate pollutants, VOCs, and other air contaminants with ease. Also,  to eliminate bacteria and viruses like SARS-CoV-2, developers are using  UV light technology.
Aside from the obvious health benefits to the buyers, developers are leveraging a central air purification system to save the cost of buying and putting several stand-alone purifiers.  Also, Central air purifier systems also improve the condition of the HVAC system by preventing contaminants from building up on equipment and in the ductwork. It straight away minimizes the maintenance cost.
How One Startup Is Helping India’s Real Estate Giants to build smart homes.
Indoor air quality cannot widely improve until the building industry finds ways to ventilate, heat, cool, filter, and purify the air in an energy-efficient way. For instance, Real estate giants like Godrej Properties are now selling ‘clean air’ with their reality in cities like Gurugram with the help of a Delhi-based startup, Magneto CleanTech.
Magneto CleanTech offers a range of clean air solutions specifically designed for every type of air-con unit be it AHUs, FCU, In-Duct, Split ACs, Cassette AC, etc. From central air purifier systems, commercial air purification systems to UV light air sanitization technology Magneto has got everything under one roof.
One of India’s leading real estate builders K Raheja Corp., The Jindal Group, The C.K Birla Group has secured their large building complexes across India with Magneto’s commercial air purification systems.
As we step into the future of Realty development, we need to leverage the technology for the air inside that is clean and efficient. To know more the solution is rightly available with Magneto.

Even before Covid struck, Modi's $1.8B New Delhi revamp divided opinions Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s overhaul of New Delhi’s historic center was always going to be controversial — even before the Covid-19 pandemic struck. Since it was announced in September 2019, the $1.8 billion Central Vista Redevelopment Project has been branded unduly expensive, environmentally irresponsible and a threat to cultural heritage. And with Modi’s elaborate new private residence — which comprises 10 buildings across 15 acres (6 hectares) of land — among dozens of planned new government structures, many critics have dismissed the scheme as an architectural vanity project that serves India’s populist leader, not its people. This outrage has been brought into sharp focus by the coronavirus crisis. Amid a devastating second wave that has pushed the country’s hospitals to breaking point, opposition MP Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter last week to compare the cost of the project to the amount needed to vaccinate 450 million Indians or purchase 10 million oxygen cylinders. “But (Modi’s) ego is bigger than people’s lives,” he concluded. A man walks past the construction site for part of the Central Vista Redevelopment Project. Credit: Manish Rajput/SOPA Images/Sipa USA Indignation has only grown in recent days, after it emerged that construction at the site has been deemed an “essential service” — meaning work continues, even as building projects elsewhere are at a standstill. This urgency is widely thought to reflect a race to complete the new triangular parliament — the project’s centerpiece — before the end of 2022, when India celebrates 75 years of independence. Indeed, for nationalists, the building’s symbolism lies not only in its design, which alludes to the importance of triangles in the sacred geometries of several religions, but in India’s ability to complete large-scale infrastructure projects quickly and on schedule. But while the speed, cost and timing of the development have attracted ire, the underlying question of whether New Delhi’s aging government district needs revamping exposes deeper divides. “There’s really been no opportunity for comments, criticism, suggestions, ideas. There’s a vibrant architectural community and very few of them feel like they’ve been given a fair hearing.” Shashi Tharoor, MP and writer Indian MP and writer Shashi Tharoor, a fierce critic of Modi’s, has long rallied against the project. Since the earliest days of the pandemic he has called for the government to redirect funds earmarked for the development to help fight Covid-19. “Why now, at such colossal expense and at a time when the country and economy are reeling from the effects of the lockdown?” he told CNN in a phone interview earlier this year. Yet even this most vocal of critics accepted that modernizing India’s parliament and Central Visa — a 3-kilometer (1.8-mile) stretch of New Delhi’s central boulevard, Rajpath — could, in theory, have its merits. “From a purely utilitarian point of view, many would agree there is a need for some significant changes,” Tharoor said. “One is that the parliament building would have needed an extensive renovation to be fit for purpose, and clearly the government concluded that they couldn’t do that, and that they needed to build a new one.” The project will see an overhaul of buildings and public space along New Delhi’s central boulevard, Rajpath. Credit: HCP Design, Planning and Management Pvt Ltd “And as for the Central Vista, a number of the 1950s and ’60s buildings, some of which I’ve had the dubious pleasure of working in … there really is an architectural case for getting rid of them and replacing them. “My concern here is the utter lack of consultation before such a momentous decision was taken,” he said, adding: “There’s really been no opportunity for comments, criticism, suggestions, ideas. There’s a vibrant architectural community and very few of them feel like they’ve been given a fair hearing.” Fit for purpose? When work began on the original Central Vista plan in the early 20th century, English architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker envisaged a long ceremonial boulevard akin to the Champs Elysees in Paris or the Capitol Complex in Washington D.C. It came to be known as Kingsway, and the grand buildings running along its edges were designed to serve a colonial government, not an Indian one. When the country gained independence from Britain in 1947, India sought to reappropriate the district for its own burgeoning democracy. A statue of King George VI, the then-reigning British king and last emperor of India, was torn down, but the colonial structures were largely retained and repurposed. The circular council house became India’s parliament, the opulent Viceroy’s House was transformed into a presidential residence and Kingsway was given a new name: Rajpath. Known as Viceroy House by the British, Rashtrapati Bhavan now serves as the presidential residence. Credit: Shutterstock In the decades that followed, development in the area accelerated to accommodate the growing administration. Police barracks were erected, car parking was introduced, and new ministry buildings spilled out either side of the central boulevard. According to the architect behind the new redevelopment, Bimal Patel, this “haphazard” sprawl has corrupted Lutyens and Baker’s original urban plan and left the area unfit for a modern government. Designs by Patel’s firm, HCP, were chosen from six proposals in a competition to reimagine the area and modernize the facilities. “You have old stables and barracks that have been converted into offices — they’re completely dysfunctional. It’s like an old slum — it’s like a little village in there,” said Patel in a video interview, referring to some of the buildings flanking Rajpath. His firm’s sweeping vision for the 86-acre (35-hectare) site includes new chambers for MPs, a conference center and landscaped public gardens. The country’s National Archives will be refurbished, while the North and South Blocks of the Secretariat Building, which currently house India’s cabinet, will be turned into museums. “We need to improve the technology, we need space for dining, we need to create toilets, we need to create storage space, and office and administration space — it’s very clear that it can’t be done in the space available.” Bimal Patel, architect With the creation of new office space, ministries currently scattered around New Delhi will all be relocated to the site. Patel argues this will make the Central Vista a “synergistic location” that will improve the efficiency and productivity of India’s government. The symbolic heart of the project is the country’s new parliament. HCP’s triangular design sits directly next to its predecessor, which is also being turned into a museum. Inside, two horseshoe-shaped chambers will house the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha — the parliament’s upper and lower houses respectively — while a light-filled Constitution Hall features an adjoining gallery displaying India’s written constitution. MPs will be seated in twos rather than crammed onto long benches, and the new, larger parliament features touch screens for each member. For Patel, this modernization is a matter of necessity. While the current parliament has been updated over the decades, with new floors added, the old building is now simply too small, he argued. A digital impression of the new Lok Sabha, the Indian parliament’s lower chamber. Credit: HCP Design, Planning and Management Pvt Ltd “It’s crowded and there’s no more possibility for expansion at a time when we need to increase the number of seats,” Patel said, alluding to a planned increase in the number of Indian MPs to reflect the country’s growing population. “We need to improve the technology, we need space for dining, we need to create toilets, we need to create storage space, and office and administration space — it’s very clear that it can’t be done in the space available, so we’ve created a new facility next door.” Ongoing concerns On Wednesday, two Indian citizens lodged a case with the Delhi High Court to try to halt work at the Central Vista, arguing construction could aid the spread of Covid-19. The petitioners then took the matter to the Supreme Court, after city authorities had “failed to appreciate the gravity” of the situation. This is not the first attempt to formally oppose the revamp. In April last year, eight months before Modi laid the parliament’s foundation stone in a high-profile photo-op, a petition was filed to the Supreme Court opposing plans on legal and environmental grounds. The next month, a group of 60 former civil servants wrote a scathing open letter to Modi describing the project as a “thoughtless and irresponsible act” that was motivated by “a superstitious belief that the present Parliament building is ‘unlucky.'” The wide-ranging letter went on to discuss the “severe environmental damage” the redevelopment will cause to “the lungs of the city.” The plans are “shrouded in secrecy,” it read, and “not substantiated by any public consultation or expert review.” A copy of India’s constitution will be on display in the new parliament building. Credit: HCP Design, Planning and Management Pvt Ltd The group also highlighted the architectural value of buildings earmarked for demolition, saying that the scheme would “irrevocably” destroy the area’s cultural heritage. Historian Swapna Liddle, who has written various books on New Delhi’s history, echoed some of their concerns. She highlighted the risks of turning symbolic political buildings — like the North and South Blocks — into museums. “When you say North Block you don’t just mean a building, you mean a particular institution,” Liddle said over the phone. “The fact that buildings are associated with history, with traditions and with institutions is very important. “Parliament House is the place where constitutional debate (has taken place), so you should think very long and hard before separating the building from the tradition.” The North Block of the Secretariat Building will be turned into a museum. Credit: Shutterstock In a polarized political landscape, it’s perhaps little surprise that a project of this magnitude has invited criticism from many quarters. But regardless of the scheme’s virtues or shortcomings, Modi’s insistence on pushing ahead amid India’s worst public health crisis in a generation may see him lose the support of allies he might once have counted on. “People are dying of Covid but (Modi’s) priority is the Central Vista project,” tweeted Yashwant Sinha, a former minister of finance and external affairs, and a member of Modi’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party until 2018. “Should we not be building hospitals instead? How much more (must) the nation … pay for electing a megalomaniac?” Source link Orbem News #18B #Covid #Delhi #Divided #Modis #opinions #Revamp #struck

Significant COVID-19 Impact on Medical Second Opinion | Healthcare Industry | Data Bridge Market Research
Tumblr media
COVID-19 Impact on Medical Second Opinion in Healthcare Industry
New coronavirus disease outbreak (COVID-19) in 2019 caused by extreme acute respiratory coronavirus-2 syndrome (SARS-CoV-2) has posed a significant threat to the population and has a huge effect on the economy, GDP and industry worldwide. The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that the pandemic of COVID-19 has a high transmission rate that threatens many lives. The association of the Spike-S protein in SARS-CoV-2 with the Ace-2 receptor found in the human lungs is the primary cause for the high transmutability. This is the primary reason or the largest obstacle in the health care sector and perhaps the biggest challenge for healthcare providers in 2020. In December 2019, Chinese health authorities told World Health Organization (WHO) of a mid-serious situation when a group of 40 patients with pneumonia had symptoms, most of them related to the Huanan Sea Food market. Looking at the current situation, China is not suffering from any industry worldwide deficit as the number of graph cases in China is stabilizing. The countries namely the U.S., India, Brazil, Russia and many others around the world are experiencing business decline and a decrease in GDP. Since the declaration of the pandemic, several nations including China, India, the U.S., Russia, Germany and others have entered the full lockdown state in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in several countries such as China, New Zealand and South Korea which have succeeded due to their tight laws and increased monitoring and the Chinese company Baidus has begun heat mapping which has made testing simpler.
The second medical opinion is the type of service or supplemental consultation that the patient gets following their primary diagnosis. After that, the patient may get a second medical opinion if the patient is displeased with the diagnosis or if more information is required in the case of any critical surgical procedures. There has been a recent rise in medical second opinion providers largely due to clinical, financial and legal risks associated in care. As we say “Second Opinions: Two Heads are better than one”. Because of the contagion nature of COVID-19 and the rising number of pandemic events and various new diseases, a second opinion is very common and encouraged by doctors. So, the demand for second opinion market has increased though the growth is anticipated to be increased at a higher pace then it is now but due to pandemic and lockdown globally, the growth was subdued. It has also been forecasted by research analysts that after pandemic, this growth will further increase due to COVID-19, people are now more conscious about their health, further more increasing prevalence of peripheral vascular disorders and growing importance on superior treatment outcomes, rising inclination for healthcare cost optimization and increasing prevalence of diseases due to change in lifestyle, growing number of hospitals all over the world are also expected to fuel medical second opinion market. Due to COVID-19, on the basis of disorders, cancer and especially (lung cancer) patients have been at the front position of using the technology (tele-medicine) to manage their diagnosis for years, also with growing concern of people cardiac disorders, diseases related to respiratory system and surgical interventions are going to get huge revenue in future. Apart from that, organ transplant opinion by primary doctor make patient concerned and in-turn patient will look for medical second opinion and increases the revenue.
According to the weekly epidemiology report of 9th February 2021 by World Health Organization (WHO) stated 3.1 million cases of coronavirus has been reported globally in past week, this brings to over 105.4 million reported cases and over 2.3 million patients are dead due to the coronavirus globally. The outbreak of COVID-19 is having a huge impact on the healthcare industry which also means need for medical second opinion because of the growing concern of patients.
IMPACT ON DEMAND
The global market for medical second opinion market is mainly related to the high prevalence of the cardiovascular disease, high rate of obesity, major surgical advices, lungs & respiratory tract disorders and the growing need for minimally invasive procedures. Additionally, factors such as increased number of tough healthcare decisions, expensive tests are right or not and risky surgery and finally unsure about the diagnosis, government initiatives and support, increased demand for advanced treatments, research and increased clinical trials for new diseases and increasing players that are offering newer solutions will probably stimulate the market. Tele-medicine and online second opinion become lucrative to increase the demand during the COVID-19 pandemic and will remain be a boon technology in future. This technology has by this time already demonstrated there efficacy, accuracy and refinement of results, that’s why researchers, physicians and pathologists know the value of the technology and hence, they are looking to hasten their productivity and potentially improve their accuracy in diagnosis of clinical abnormalities and problems related with patients.
Furthermore, accruing proof suggests that a sub-group of patients with severe COVID-19 acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) with hypoxemia might have cytokine storm syndrome. Certainly, 25–31% of COVID-19 patients displayed irregular blood clotting. Blood clots can break apart and lodge in the pulmonary organs as lungs, causing in pulmonary embolism, while clots from arteries can lodge in the brain, triggering stroke. While the lungs are “ground zero”, clots can form in organ systems from the brain to blood vessels. This is a major reason for the increasing concern in patients to look for secondary option to treat the disorder or preventive measures against the virus.
Additionally, it has been found in the study of direct SARS-CoV-2 infection of endothelial cells and diffuse endothelial inflammation. Subsequently, SARS-CoV-2 targets blood vessels, patients with pre-existing damage to those vessels such as from diabetes and high blood pressure, face a higher risk of serious disease as hematological blood disorders, this is another main dynamic factor powering the market growth presently by multiple biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies globally to accelerate drug or vaccine development processes for the COVID-19.
Global medical second opinion market is expected to gain market growth and not just because of COVID-19, although the impact of COVID-19 has increased the growth of the market but the demand for medical second opinion was also higher in the period of 2015-2020 due to increasing number of geriatric, diabetic and cardiovascular diseases, although it is not as high as it is now. Because of the COVID-19, a new respiratory disorder with lots of mystery, it is clear that after COVID-19 pandemic will get over, it will further boost the global medical second opinion market because of the awareness in people about diseases and the increasing concern for physical care. In the pulmonology sector and cardiac sector especially, the demand will be higher. The participation of various start-ups that make some apps and smart tracking devices as fit-bands are also tracking the SpO2 levels which will help in the expansion of blood flow measurement market and become the key factors backing to the growth of the market. The U.S., China and the U.K. are developing as popular hubs for healthcare innovations. Japan and South-Korea also holds the scope for the development of medical second opinion market in healthcare with skilled workers and technologies they possess. Growth in Asia-Pacific is expected to be fast owing to the demand of advanced technologies and increasing cases of cancer, lung cancer, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. North America rules the medical second opinion market due to highly aware people, innovative healthcare infrastructure, favorable government initiatives and rising prevalence of diseases due to change in lifestyle in the region.
On the other hand, growing healthcare expenditure and amount of hospitals will further boost various opportunities that will lead to the growth of the medical second opinion market. Some companies are launching new products to increase their revenue by meeting the emergent need.
Globally the surge in the demand of medical second opinion market in diagnostics market is going to be observed due to the infectious nature of COVID-19 which could be spread via touch, mucous droplets, use of clothes among others and due to lockdown, the advancement and the pace for development which was expected is likely reduced, but in coming few years, the growth is going to be much higher with increasing awareness of health in people and more accurate results from A.I. and new product launches and smartwatches.
Some of the applications which can increase the demand for medical second opinion are:
·         Increasing investments in telemedicine technologies
·         Rising modernization
·         Technological advancement in the healthcare sector
·         Rising R&D activities
·         Assessment of auto-regulation capability
IMPACT ON SUPPLY
The bulk of the consumer supply has been affected due to COVID-19. The lockdown imposed by many countries is the key reason why imports and exports for many markets have been slowing down. The medical second opinion market is extremely fragmented and the key players have used different tactics such as expansions, creative solutions, joint ventures, alliances, collaborations, acquisitions and others to expand their presence in the market.
Although, the ease of use, relatively low cost of doctor's telephone consultations and the ubiquity of smartphones make this an attractive option for monitoring patients and identifying problems at an early stage, there are important considerations with these devices that patients and providers may not be aware of the potential to have an impact on the successful implementation of such a monitoring programme.

Social murder and the missing stateThe defence that the government is not responsible for the present crisis has consequences for India’s democracy
07/05/2021
PTI-PTI
When people are placed under conditions which appeal to the brute only, said Friedrich Engels, what remains to them but to rebel or to succumb to utter brutality?
The scenes that are being witnessed in India now are apocalyptic in tone. When a citizen attacks hospital personnel because a life was lost due to the absence of medical care, or a citizen struggles to breathe with an oxygen cylinder on the pavement, it is a crisis at multiple levels.
Appalling discourse
But what is concerning, more than the “collapse of the system” or the failure of the state, is the shocking discourse among the supporters of the government that it is not responsible for the present crisis, arguably, India’s gravest hour.
This defence has consequences for India’s democracy.
Engels had argued that the English ruling class and the state had created such horrendous working and living conditions for the workers, without the “necessaries of life”, that they suffer not only ill health but meet early deaths. Engels calls this social murder, the same as murder by an individual; the only difference is that this murder is “disguised”, for “no man sees the murderer” and the death appears to be a “natural one”.
What we are seeing around, in our inability to make the state accountable, is social murder. The only difference between Engels’ England in the 1840s, when it was the working class which was devastated by pandemics, and India now, is that the pandemic in this wave is not just preying on the most vulnerable populations. Therefore, it is also not invisible any longer.
The state’s actions
But in the first wave of the pandemic in India, the tragic plight of millions of inter-State migrant labour walking thousands of kilometres, remained invisible. That was a classic case of social murder. And it was justified then as well in narratives which argued that, after all, it was the responsibility of the workers themselves for “voluntarily” undertaking such a journey. Just as it is the responsibility of the people themselves for causing the second wave. Yet, ironically, when the successful defeat of COVID-19 was celebrated in February by an official resolution of the Bharatiya Janata Party, it was the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that was given credit, not the people.
When ordinary people, without access to expert advice, are asked to own up to their mistakes, powerful actors such as the Election Commission of India holding an eight-phase election in Bengal, the Uttarakhand Chief Minister justifying the Kumbh mela and the Prime Minister exulting about the size of an election rally crowd in West Bengal on a day when over 2,00,000 Indians were newly infected by the novel coronavirus, are all unassailable actions of the state.
By participating in the state’s abdication of responsibility, one is fostering conditions of social murder. The argument that cremations cannot be shown by the media because they are “sacred” to Hindus is a part of this act. Other than the obvious fallacy that Hindu cremations are not televised or recorded, here, the more critical questions such as how many deaths could have been prevented by a simple provision of oxygen, why people are forced to cremate their loved ones in parking lots or pavements, and if that is any less dignified than telling the story to the world remain unanswered.
As epidemiologists assert, obfuscating the real gravity of a pandemic is the dangerous path to a bigger disaster. If the Chinese state had not hidden the pandemic in its initial stages, the world probably would have not been at this juncture. That is why there has been such a sustained focus by the world media on hotspots where death tolls mounted: Italy, Iran, the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Peru, etc,. But the tragedy in India is sought to be portrayed as a cultural exceptionalism that cannot be televised.
A different patrimonialism
In the last seven years, the Indian state has acquired distinct tendencies of what sociologist Max Weber has called patrimonialism in which the ruler exercises a traditional form of authority which rests on the “sanctity of immemorial traditions”, in contrast to a rule based on a rational-legal bureaucracy or impersonal rules. But unlike in ideal typical patrimonialism, this highly personalised and centralised form of rule is not based on heredity, kinship ties or personal allegiances, rather on the ideology of religious majoritarianism as well as nationalism, and legitimised by election wins. Duty, patriotism, etc., become keywords here as was tellingly witnessed during the misery unleashed by demonetisation.
Ironically, this patrimonial government, which prided itself as a ‘mai-baap sarkar’, the dispenser of benevolence towards subjects, overnight transforms itself into one which asks citizens to fend for themselves, whether it is by procuring oxygen cylinders or arranging ambulances. This has resulted in a Social Darwinism in which only the most powerful have some chance of survival.
From the assertions of the Union Health Minister that there never was any shortage of oxygen, the Uttar Pradesh government charging people with First Information Reports (FIRs) for requesting oxygen, to the Haryana Chief Minister’s comment that the dead cannot return and, therefore, it was pointless to discuss many unaccounted deaths, all depict a state that has shed its professed benevolence during the novel coronavirus pandemic.
As scholars identify, one of the fundamental problems in patrimonialism is ensuring accountability, something that becomes stark during a pandemic when the patrimonial state goes missing. On the one hand, we have the belated act of sanctioning oxygen plants by the Prime Minister, which, keeping in line with governance as benevolence, is met with cabinet Ministers expressing their gratitude in unison. On the other, the Prime Minister has not addressed a single press conference on COVID-19, quite a stunning fact globally for the head of a democracy.
Become citizens, not subjects
While the Swedish Prime Minister was recently subject to questioning by a constitutional committee on COVID-19 handling, the present Indian state has no means of ensuring a critical scrutiny of the chronology of government decisions that led to the current crisis. For the moment, we will have to be content with scathing observations like those of the Allahabad High Court that deaths due to lack of oxygen are no “less than a genocide”.
Engels had argued that the English ruling class’ “class prejudice and preconceived opinions” had enveloped it in a “mad blindness” about the social murder that was happening in its midst, which, in any case, did not affect it. India, under the pandemic, is seeing a different kind of prejudice, preconceived opinions and mad blindness in sanctioning social murder. Unless people become citizens and not subjects under a patrimonial rule, the calamitous clouds of the pandemic portend a bleak future for Indian democracy as well.

A Look At The DNA Sequencing Market
A Look At The DNA Sequencing Market
The global DNA sequencing industry is now worth US $5.2 billion per year and is anticipated to reach US $15.3 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of ten percent. DNA Sequencing is basically the process where the genetic sequence of a DNA is established. It is like building a computer with the information about a certain software program. When that software program is run, all the factors that determine the DNA sequence are randomly mixed up and then evaluated. If the DNA sequence "win" in the random evaluation, it will result into a strand of DNA that is recognized as a human being. In this way, a piece of human DNA has already been created.
There have been several studies made on the DNA sequencing market size and what the market will look like in the next two to five years. A very important factor that affects the forecast is the increasing popularity of DNA technology and the related technologies. This is mainly because there are more laboratories performing DNA tests. So, there are more customers out there looking for a test. As time passes, this population of potential customers will continue to grow, and as a result, the DNA market will also increase.
Another factor that influences the DNA sequencing market forecast is the ever-changing technology used in these tests. Basically, every single method used in these tests employ different methods and various technologies. This means that even if a specific method is not effective enough to make a result, it will be very helpful if other methods using the same procedure are still on the market. For instance, in the case of testing for the disease, a new synthetic method that can replace the ineffective methods will be very helpful.
So, with such a growing market and an ever-changing market and technologies, how will you be able to determine what will be the market and technology in the near future? You can start by analyzing the kind of market that is focusing on genetic diseases. These diseases are characterized by complex traits which only molecular technology can provide results with.
The next step would be analyzing the current trends of the global DNA sequencing market. Currently, there is already a large demand for DNA tests for legal proceedings and DNA ancestry testing. But with the introduction of new technologies, the demand for DNA testing will increase in the coming years. Experts predict that by 2021, there will be a high demand for DNA sequencing worldwide.
As we move forward, there are certain things that will influence the DNA markets. One of the possible factors will be the introduction of gene manipulation techniques for the human or animal body. It is important to note that the field of biotechnology has greatly affected the global DNA sequencing market. This field involves skilled professionals from several different fields. For example, those involved in DNA technology can use their knowledge to help improve the quality of DNA samples. Alternatively, those who work with genetically modified organisms (GMO) can contribute to the betterment of healthcare.
There are two potential ways to increase the size of the DNA market in the future. One is through personalized medicine, and the other is through DNA microarray technology. Personalized medicine deals with addressing individual needs of patients based on genetic profiles. As of now, there are already a number of companies that have found applications for DNA microarray technology in personalized medicine. These companies include Genogenetics, Illumina, and Ionella.
As the market continues to develop and grow in the recent years, it is expected that the role of the sequencing platforms will become more defined. However, it is interesting to note that the current focus on sequencing is not centered on the applications of personalized medicine. There are still many other potential applications for DNA technology, such as the sequencing of whole genome sequences. This is due to the fact that the technology is only just beginning to scratch the surface of what can be done. In the coming years, expect an expanding focus on the sequencing industry to help address important issues.
The research team projects that the DNA Sequencing market size will grow from XXX in 2020 to XXX by 2027, at an estimated CAGR of XX. The base year considered for the study is 2020, and the market size is projected from 2020 to 2027.

An emerging corporate coalition accuses Amazon of stifling e-commerce for small merchants
Tumblr media
Tens of thousands of owners of U.S. Small and medium-sized companies have formed an alliance against Amazon e-commerce to counter what they called its anti-competitive practices, and in several press releases accused the giant of stifling entrepreneurs and small businesses, and demanded legislation that would discourage tech giants.   The small Business Rising Coalition has called on the US administration to reconsider e-commerce rules and limit Amazon's control of markets.   "Amazon's dominance of e-commerce is one of the main threats facing independent businesses,"the alliance-which includes about 20 professional unions (such as grocers and bookstores) representing about 60,000 U.S. companies-said in a statement.   He called on the US administration to curb the expansion of the technology and retail giant, and even split it into parts to scale it.   "It is time for entrepreneurs from every side of the country, from every background and from every industry to demand impartiality, and we are building one new voice that speaks directly to lawmakers,"said a coalition statement seen by Riyada. The alliance represents entrepreneurs and small businesses who unite for one goal. The startup group said it held a meeting on February 22 in which it explained how Amazon, through its growing dominance, is harming independent and small businesses and what Congress needs to do to rein in the "monopoly."   The meeting was attended by Rep. David cicchellini, who chairs the House antitrust committee. Active participants include associations such as the Booksellers Association and the American Grocers Association. For example, a small bookstore owner named Lawrence Cain, a grocery store owner from Alabama and an office materials dealer from Washington, D.C., all agreed that Amazon was "stifling their business."   "The pandemic has highlighted the amount of focus in our markets with a vision of companies like Amazon doubling their profits at the same time as America's small businesses were struggling to survive,"Allison Hill, president of the American Booksellers Association, said in a statement seen by Riyada-Al Jazeera.   "We are paying to break monopolies,"said the head of American Booksellers. These complaints are not new, but the nascent coalition is likely to be heard more than a year after the pandemic crisis that dramatically boosted Amazon's activity, and at a time when public opinion and with them MPs seem to be shifting in favor of small businesses.   The Alliance wants to better enforce antitrust laws, or even amend them so that they do not focus primarily on the issue of prices but take into account other implications of monopolies, such as the impact on communities, especially those deprived of local shops, or employees ' rights and working conditions.   "Neither party (Democrat and Republican) likes the monopolies exercised by big tech groups," says Danny Cain, owner of a bookstore in Lawrence, Kansas-in an interview with AFP. This support from both sides of political life is a real opportunity."   Cain criticizes the dominance of giant groups, saying "they write the rules of the game and play them too."   The coalition has praised the positive signals from President Joe Biden, in particular by appointing legal expert Lina Khan, known for her criticism of Gaffa technology giants (Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon) to the FTC. The president also asked Tim Wu, a proponent of tightening antitrust laws, to join the National Economic Council (NEC).   Federal authorities have long been investigating the dominance of these giant groups over entire economic sectors. Last October, a working group in the House of Representatives published a dossier accusing Gaffa of exploiting its dominant position.   The small business Rising Coalition agreed with the abstracts of parliamentary work which showed that Amazon " demands huge commissions, imposes suffocating conditions and pulls valuable data from independent manufacturers and merchants to use on its platform."   However, sudden changes in the platform's rules and algorithms, and high commissions, make it very difficult, even impossible, for a company to thrive through Amazon, according to Stacy Mitchell, co-director of an NGO that advocates for communities and local organizations (Institute for localserve reliance).   "Hold out a few years" "Five years ago, Amazon was deducting an average of 19% of merchants 'revenue,"   #news #covid #india #instagram #love #coronavirus #follow #like #media #music #breakingnews #instagood #fashion #viral #trending #politics #noticias #memes #new #corona #usa #football #bhfyp #sports #tv #indonesia #berita #photography #currentaffairs #bhfyp Read the full article
