neite is no longer a baby and is getting close to being a year old ?! 🥹 time goes so quick.

unfortunately rocky & neite still don’t get along?? honestly it’s kinda exhausting. they used to be okay with one another and would happily sleep next to one another etc. but rocky now cannot tolerate neite in the slightest - and just seemingly happened overnight.

as we adopted neite from a charity, they’re able to offer us free behavioural support, so i’ve been in contact with them… but have had no luck as of yet. rocky has a vet appointment tomorrow so I want to make sure he’s okay, so at least then I can rule out him if him being an asshole is his way of telling me he’s in pain 🤷🏼‍♀️

my kitten is mad at me bc i took her to the vet today and it was a long and cold bus journey there and back AND she got her first vaxx 😭😭 now she wont even look at me and is in the opposite corner of the room to me and yells when i pick her up 😭😭😭😭 calypso pls i love you im sorrreyyyyyyyyy😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

so most kitties are obsessed with Something and for sunny that is bags. he wants to Lay on plastic bags always, ther'es a paper bag on its side on the floor that he crawled into and curled up in. He has a little soft bed-cave thing but he prefers Bags

Also good news all of Jade's fur has come in and she still does chew a little more than i like and has made one or two kind of thin spots but they aren't really visible and her skin condition has gotten a lot better as well! So we were able to take off her pajamas and she's a lot happier and more active and has been playing a lot more lately ;-;

Final kitty update, unfortunately. They gave her some fluids and an antibiotic yesterday, so I got her for one more night. The extra time helped me come to terms with having to make the decision, especially since she was still getting worse overnight and this morning. Just watching her, it was clear that she was ready, so I made the hard decision and let her go this afternoon.

I first met her while volunteering at a local animal shelter. At the shelter, she was constantly hiding but when you did manage to find her, it was obvious that she really loved being pet. After a few weeks, I made the decision that if she hadn’t been adopted by the time I submitted my law school applications, I would adopt her myself. It took a few months, but that’s eventually what ended up happening and she absolutely blossomed in a quieter home environment, where she could adjust to things on her own terms. She turned into quite the little love-bug and the past four or so years were filled with lots of cuddles, pets, and purrs. I’ll always wish I had more time with her, but in the time I did have with her, I’m so glad I got to be her mom/human.

Mentally freaking out about my first day of work tonight. Even though I know I can handle it, it never makes the first day jitters easy. Only have a few hours left before I have to get to stepping.

Baz-kitty is a little shit. (A "shitten" as my bestie calls it.) She's getting into trouble and testing my patience (and the durability of my decor) so much that I'm thinking she's more of a Mordelia-kitty. (She's doing that thing where she will misbehave right in front of me, then dash away as soon as I start to get up to stop her.)

Seriously, Snow-cat (very slightly older and a smidgen wiser for having already gone through his icarus phase) is just watching her like, "You're going to end up on Penny-human's naughty list. You won't like it there. She doesn't suffer goblins."

So my kitty is gonna be ok… or so we hope.. he has some stones in his bladder but we got him his special food and it’s gonna hopefully dissolve them so he can get better .!
