Something about Asagiri wanting to maintain the beauty of buraiha's friendship, which was so strong that it ended with the three of them dying a mere few years apart, has me in a chokehold

Dazai in 1948... and lastly Ango in 1955 #which is frankly how I can vividly see BSD's version of buraiha unfolding too. #Obviously not down to the T (like the one year apart for Oda & Dazai etc) but definitely the order of their deaths... #in BSD's case I feel like it'd be fitting if Ango was the last of the three to die since everything went downhill after HE joined the PM #It'd be a very bittersweet feeling... bitter bc he really does not have any other friends. Odasaku and Dazai are (...were) his only ones #so to live after the BOTH of them departed would hurt him even More than his heaps of guilt. hence the 'bitter' from bittersweet #but at the same time. the 'sweet' part would come from knowing that at least he'd meet them both again once he does die too
