The gentleman dropped his wife off at work and then blew through two stop signs and ran me over in a crosswalk. I was taken to the ER (I work in a hospital) and sent home to follow up with ortho. The gentleman who hit me drove off. His wife parked the car at work the next day, the cops confiscated it, and she tried reporting it stolen. He turned himself in a week or so later and was only given a year of supervision, not allowed to drive (he hit me while driving on a cancelled license), and a $600 fine. I am left trying to raise a family of 7 on workers comp pay and facing 5 surgeries as they now found out my back has several slipped discs causing various neuropathy issues and muscle weakness.
