I dont think telling disabled people who use AI to make 2D digital art to Go Do Some Other Kind Of Art is helpful or even like halfway decent behavior. I think its really shitty to be like “I understand youre doing this because you physically cannot draw and never will be able to, but have you considered doing something else instead because major corporations are probably going to latch onto this technology to steal jobs from other artists, so clearly the solution is to just stop developing technology instead of Something Else”

#Also yelling at people on twitter isnt gonna stop the march of technology and save your job #Also Im gonna be real Ive thought this too but uh #I had tendonitis so bad I couldnt draw for a year and I mean. I tried all kinds of shit to get the like self expression juice I got from- #-drawing and couldnt really find anything that didnt also hurt my hand but a little bit less #I dont really know if theres a visual art form that doesnt take some kind of hand strength/dexterity/stamina. probably is but like #Even clicking a mouse or typing on a keyboard would hurt. So I get it is what Im saying here #and I dont think 'well just dont make art then' is kind. #It does just come down to you are never gonna be able to stop a major corporation from fucking you over but you are gonna be able to #get people to stop making art the only way they can because you kept sending them mean messages on twitter #Sorry I was gonna stop talking about this because I feel like I dont really know enough but I found the twitter of someone who makes AI art- #and is disabled and they just got Bullied Off Twitter so I had more thoughts #Im not really pessmistic or depressed about this but Im also a com/muni/st and that is mostly why. #'this' being the idea of AI art taking over art jobs not the person getting bullied off twitter that one made me sad.
