Favourite or a notable childhood movie you really like or keep returning to for whatever reason? Or just a niche one you'd like to highlight
so the pokemon movies are my real answer. Destiny deoxys, best one, highly recommend.
however
my sister and I watched one movie so much that we could quote it beat for beat for a good year. That movie?
Big Time Movie
It was the only movie ever released for the 2013(?) Nickelodeon show 'Big Time Rush'. It features the band 'Big Time Rush' as they end up in a spy plot whilst on tour in the UK. They also sing a LOT of Beatles songs.
Is it a good movie? Objectively, no. Do my sister and I still excitedly talk about it to this day? Yes, yes we do.

Writeblr Introduction
Hello! My name is MT (she/her, in the twilight of my 20s) and I'm a writer looking for other writers to connect with! I'm a bit of a Tumblr dinosaur (first account circa 2014) but I've been away from Tumblr for a number of years. This is my first time making a Writblr introduction so without further ado...
Tumblr media
About my Writing:
I write mostly speculative fiction with a bent towards horror and the weird though I love to experiment with other genres every once in a while. I've spent the last year focusing on one long-term project that I would classify as a horror thriller (though it keeps evolving). I'm just about out of the outlining stage for its second draft. In between that, I work on a number of short story projects in various stages of drafting.
Common Themes/Tropes/Things I Like:
I like a light touch of the fantastical. Ghosts, magic, the potential for the strange.
I also like to toe the line between what's real and what's imagined. The psychological and the existential. The fluidity of time and the absurdity of existence. Most of the time, my characters are battling something within themselves that's manifesting as something strange outside of themselves. To put it simply, I like messy characters.
Monsters, eldritch horrors, and the things we cannot name.
I love a good mystery. Long buried secrets coming to the surface, a strange death without cause, detectives solving puzzles. I've been working this more into my current WIP
I love history. I've been recently obsessed with the American frontier circa 1850s-1890s, the counterculture and social movements of the 1960s/1970s, and most things Victorian. Cultural and social histories are my obsessions and I like exploring concepts in my fiction
Genres I Read:
I try to read widely but my go-tos will always be mystery/thrillers, speculative fiction, horror, and a good nonfiction book that explores a historical or true crime obsession. I'm also partial to fantasy and romance when I'm in the mood for it.
That's about all I can think of to write at the moment! If any of you want to connect, feel free to say hello!
This is a blog solely dedicated to writing. My main blog is @missaddledmiss.

@vendettavalor ASKED:
📂 - the 141 squad
RANDOM (POTENTIALLY USELESS) HEADCANONS.
Captain John Price: This one partially comes from you, but I'm putting it in his tag so-- Him and Kate were absolutely married before both of them realized they were gay (with Kate canonically being sapphic as she mentions her wife, and John just having the energy). Similar fields, similar life experiences (they are also both trans* and I will die on that hill)… They were best friends, why the hell not? They still act married, and have even got something of a queer platonic relationship going on, but on paper? They've been separated for over a decade.
Kyle "Gaz" Garrick: This man is a grown-up dinosaur kid. Had a huge hyperfixation on dinosaurs as a child, and that never really went away. He totally didn't spend years of his adolescence memorizing every fact there is to know about dinosaurs ever. No. No way. And he totally doesn't continue to follow scientific news for the sole purpose of learning more cool facts about dinosaurs.
Simon "Ghost" Riley: He doesn't seem like the type to have a pet, and he doesn't, but if he did… He'd either have a "scary" rescue dog or some sort of reptile. Perhaps both. He just has that energy. Definitely leaning toward the idea of if he were to get a pet, he would be the type to go into a shelter and go home with the dog that's been branded unadoptable. It resonates with him, and he's quite the smart guy. He'd figure the training and make sure to give it a safe environment with him.
Johnny "Soap" MacTavish: A lot of people underestimate his intelligence… but people also underestimate how much of a NERD this guy is. Besides the fact he can improvise things with basic supplies, he's also just. A nerd. He loves loves loves comic books, and has a collection of Spider-Man comics he takes the upmost care of. He's also a big fan of Blade Runner.

The ghost, the stars and the dinosaurs are glow in the dark my other friend with a cane specifically put on the nightmate before christmas one. Considering bleaching and dying the strap!

I tried to answer this the first time and tumblr decided it was just going to stop working and give me a continual loading screen so sorry this took a minute even though I was online XD
I love the minecraft stickers! Especially the one I'm pretty sure is a potion of health, I might have to get one for my bottle of supplements I carry around for CFS. The ender pearl is also clever, gets you from A to B just like your cane does! Endermen are my favorite mob so I'm partial to that sticker but I also like how shiny the creeper is. Bleaching and dyeing the strap would be cool, I don't think I've ever seen that done on a cane before. The glow-in-the-dark stickers would be awesome in a room lighted with blacklights, a local amusement park has a room like that and anything white or glowy gets super bright! Nightmare before Christmas is a classic which I'm planning to watch again soon, not as familiar with Hello Kitty characters but they're very cute.

thank you @ceph-the-ghost-writer for the tag! May everyone aspire to defy expectations! And it's always good to know another history/anthropology nerd ;D
Are you named after anyone? Partially! My great-grandma on my dad's side was an outstanding lady, and she hated her name so goddamn much. See, she was named June Hope because she was born in June and her parents hoped she'd be the last. Totally understandable reason to hate your name, imo. My mom used Hope as my middle name as an homage to my great-grandma (and because both sides of my family like to recycle names to hell and back). June was a lot happier with her name after that, and I like having a story to tell about it ^.^
When was the last time you cried? Oooh, that is both easy and difficult. I only cry when I'm having a panic attack, and I only have panic attacks every couple months or so. But I'm currently off my meds so my memory is shit and I don't remember the last time i may have cried...
Do you have kids? No. Absolutely not. Both me and my husband are very adamant on never having kids.
Do you use sarcasm a lot? I use sarcasm so often that I don't even realize I'm doing it. it's a problem.
What’s the first thing you notice about people? Vibes. Don't know how to explain it, but I can pick up on a person's general *everything* pretty quick and - as much as I try to ignore first impressions - they usually tend to be correct. Other things that tend to stick is height, build, hair color, tattoos... why yes, I absolutely do have some form of face blindness.
What’s your eye color? Hazel. People don't tend to notice that though, my bright red hair is much more obvious.
Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings - and that's only because my anxiety wreaks havoc with scary movies. Seriously. I've seen exactly 3 scary movies in my life and they haunt me to this day. I'm better at scary books but they still aren't my favorite. (I maintain that there is a difference between 'scary' and 'horror')
Any special talents? Survivability, and annoyingly resilient optimism. Oh, and I can do that thing where you whistle and hum at the same time.
Where were you born? Kansas, USA.
What are your hobbies? Reading, writing, occasionally drawing, embroidery, sewing, hiking into the middle of nowhere, camping, training my dogs to do silly things (that they use for dastardly purposes), photography, collecting dinosaur figurines, witchcraft, historical research, the intricacies of movie/tv production, roadtrips with my husband
Have you any pets? 4 dogs and a cat. In order there is a 14yo collie mix named Bandit, a 6yo aussie mix named Echo, a 5.5yo rez mutt named Lakai, a 4yo husky-rottweiler mix named Artemis, and a 3yo tortie cat named Skylla. My husband got Bandit from a shelter long before we met each other, and I got Echo from my brother's ranch right around the time we met. Kai was found at a gas station in Arizona, and Artemis got adopted from a Facebook ad. Skylla was given to me by a neighbor at the last minute. Oh, and there's a betta fish named Astraea.
What sports do you play/have played? When I was in elementary/middle school I played soccer and volleyball, but I haven't played in a sport since I was 15. No competitive spirit and a severe lack of coordination really put a lid on that.
How tall are you? 5'4". It would be a respectably average height if I wasn't the shortest person in my entire family.
Favorite subject in school? History. No competition. My brief attempts at college were as a paleontology and history major.
Dream job? I... don't know actually. I can't see myself doing one thing for the rest of my life. Sure I could say writing, but I don't want it to be a job, you know? Maybe something in forestry or wildlife services. Not national parks tho, I don't like tourists enough for that.
No pressure tagging @nightcastor @moonscribbler @iced-ginger-tea @wisteriasadprose @lividdreamz @toribookworm22 @siderealcuria @adhdandquills @cryptidsandqueers @cmrosens @doom-inique-writes @writeintrees @thetruearchmagos
