1.5k / Cellmate’s nephew!Joel x inmate f!reader
thank you @iamasaddie for the mood board!!!
PART 2 HERE: Collect calls
Tumblr media
Summary: Your cellmate introduces you to her hot nephew and he comes to visitation hours. A/N: Part 1 of 3. This one is due to @beskarandblasters and @wannab-urs and their hilarious list of new joel tropes and @raccoonhandedhottie's nerve to put the idea of doing one in my head. My masterlist WARNINGS: References to sex work, ACAB. Horny phone/visitation talk, mild/non-explicit over-pants masturbation. Mickey Avalon Easter egg.
Without Mabel, you're not sure how you would've survived your first six months in lock-up. You were cuffed for solicitation when a dirty cop wouldn't pay what he owed.  He says he took it easy on you -- you also clawed him and spit in his face.  As soon as you told your new cellmate what really happened, she took a liking to you. She said you should've bitten him in the pecker.   Mabel had been there, done that. She even knew of the cop who put you away.  It wasn't Mabel's first time behind bars. She had the ink and reputation to prove it. Her knuckles said "TAKE NONE" and that was accurate.  By now, nobody gave her any shit. Soon enough, no one gave you any either.
Mabel had a few photographs on her wall, mostly of her and a younger man. Not a particularly young man, but certainly younger than Mabel. He was probably in his early forties in the pictures, which were five years prior, before she violated her parole. She was giving you a poke and stick tat of a four leaf clover on your hand one day when you asked about the pictures.
"I was wonderin' when ya were gonna ask about my lil Jojo. I've seen ya lookin' at him, ya little horndog..."
She let you stammer around in response. "No, I, I'm just, making conversation, wanna get to know you better."
"It's okay, baby. He's my nephew. All I got left. He's a neat kid."
"He looks happy to be with you–ouch!"
"Don't be a pussy. Oh, he's a real sweet boy. Bet he'd like you, too."
"What makes you say that?"
She looked up from your hand "cause ya got a cunt and you're not bad lookin'," she laughed. "Hey,” she raised her eyebrows. “You ever wanna borrow one of those pics, you let me know, I'll give ya some privacy."
"No thanks."
"Oh, come on. You can fold it so ya don't have to see my pretty face."
You laughed.
"Bet he'd dick ya down real good, too."
"What?" You asked, quietly disturbed.
"He lives with me. Walls are thin."
"Ah. That must be awkward."
"Not really! We're all human. I could even tell ya the kinda shit he says if ya want. He can get real filthy.  Or shit, I could just give ya his number."
"That's ok."
"Baby, he'd love to hear from ya. Trust me. I've told him all about ya." She put down the needle and picked up a tissue to dab your skin.
"You have??"
"Oh yeah. Here, I'm gonna write it down."
She took one of the photos off the wall and wrote his number on the back. Then she folded it in half and winked at you as she handed it to you.
—----------------
It only took a week of her nagging for you to call “Jojo.”
Your breath hitched when you heard his smooth, deep voice. The first thing he said was, “Ah, call me Joel,” and you could hear the smile on his face.
“Oh god, I’m sorry,” you laughed. “Well your aunt’s told me a lot about you, Joel.”
“Yeah, I can only imagine what,” he faux grumbled. “Real character, ain’t she?”
“I love Mabel,” you blurted out.
You found yourself opening up about how in some ways, she was more of a mother figure than you ever had.  Joel was easy to talk to. It just came pouring out. You told him about Mabel’s antics and the mischief the two of you got up to. Things you’d steal from the cafeteria. The way Mabel kept the ladies in line who tried to dom you. Next thing you knew, your time was up.  You apologized profusely for talking Joel’s ear off about yourself.
“Nahhhh, it was nice,” Joel said. “Hell of a lot more interesting than my life.”
“Well it was good talking to you,” you told him.
He said, “Hey, call me back any time.”
There was nothing sexy at all about that first conversation, but his voice did something to you.  You squeezed your thighs together when you got back to your cell and looked at the photo. Mabel kept giving you a knowing look.
—------
You started calling Joel regularly.  Mabel told you he liked you a lot, but you weren’t sure if you should believe her. She seemed overly eager to set him up. The conversations were brief and casual. When you didn’t call him one week, the next time you spoke, he told you he missed the sound of your voice.
Something came over you and you broke the tension. “My voice?” you asked. “Joel, your voice. . . you dunno what it does to me,” you blurted out. Zero to sixty, just like that.
“Well damn,” Joel said. “Shoulda said somethin’. Coulda given ya better than stories about Mabel.”
“Oh yeah? Like what?”
“Like whatever ya want, jailbird.” Your heart fluttered “Whatever gets ya hot and bothered.”
“Honey, you could read me the phone book,” you told him.
He chuckled. “Haven’t seen one of those in a few years.”  His voice was sexy to begin with but the sharp edge of the phone connection made it even hotter.
After a moment of tense silence, he said, “Hey, uh, you notice any of your pictures missin’?”
“Huh?”
“Yeah, Mabel mailed me one. Didn’t tell me you were a fuckin’ smokeshow.”
You laughed bashfully.
“Well she did. But I had to see it for myself, and shit”
“Well, thanks. You’re not bad looking yourself.”
Your time was almost up.
“Hey I’m comin’ to see Mabel later this week. Y’all got the same visitor’s night or what? Cause I’d love to see you, too, if it’s allowed.”
“Nah, mine’s the next night.”
“S’alright, i’ll come back for ya, sugar.” Your heart skipped a beat.
“I’ve gotta go.”
“I know. Be good, jailbird.”
—--------
It was visitation day and you were getting nervous. Mabel thought it was adorable. She helped you get ready. Did your hair nice. “He’s already smitten with ya, baby,” she said.
You were escorted into the visitation room and sat at one of the booths, separated by glass, with a phone on each side.
When Joel came in, you didn’t recognize him at first.  In just those five years, his beard had turned half-silver.  He was striking in person.  He was wearing a tight t-shirt and jeans. Tight jeans. You couldn’t help but size up the bulge in them.
When you looked up at his face, he was raising his eyebrows at you like he caught you looking.  He sat down and put his elbows on the table. You picked up the phone, a little nervous, but more excited than anything.  He checked you out and smiled at you coyly before picking up the phone.
“Like what ya see?” he said softly into the phone.
You replied with a low whistle, then asked, “You always dress like a piece of meat?” He had a few hand tattoos of his own. Faded, blurred together. A spade between his thumb and forefinger. A spiderweb curving around one of his biceps. He’d probably done his own time.
“When the hell are ya gettin’ outta here?”
“Up for parole next month,” you said.
“No shit!” He looked genuinely excited.
“Mabel didn’t tell you?”
“Thought she was yankin’ my chain.” He stretched his free hand behind his head and you watched his bicep.  “You been good? Think you’ll get out?”
“Haven’t been bad.”
“Good.” He lowered his voice. “‘Cause sugar, I’m gonna need to see what’s under that garb.”
You smiled with faux shyness, and he continued, “God damn,” looking at you like a juicy leg of lamb.
You stared at each other, checking each other out for a moment. You watched his pupils dilate as your chest rose and fell with desire.
You made small talk for a minute or two, all the while fucking each other with your eyes. But, things took a turn again.
“What do you miss the most?” he asked in a low, sultry voice. “Bet ya don’t miss the clients.”
You shook your head.
He lowered his voice further. “When’s the last time ya had a nice hard cock ya really wanted?”
Your eyes widened. “Shit, I dunno.”
“Ohhh you’re in for it.” You looked around, paranoid, in disbelief that you could get away with a conversation like this. “Ain’t nothin’ harder than mine, baby.” He reached his hand into his lap. “Fuck. ‘specially for you.” You could see his arm moving very slowly but there was no mistaking what he was doing.  His eyes devoured you.
“Joel,” you sighed. “Fuck, I believe it.”
And just like that, a guard approached him from behind. “Time’s up,” the guard said and glared at you.  You rolled your eyes as a guard approached you, too.
Joel said “Later, jailbird” and hung up the phone.  When he stood up, his massive erection was visible and made your heart skip a beat.  You glanced up to his face and he was wetting his lips. He winked at you with pink cheeks and your eyes immediately fell back to his crotch as he adjusted himself and the guard hurried him away.
FUCK. You were gushing. Mabel’s Jojo. Joel. What a man.

What are all your fandom tats if you don’t mind me asking
nonny, thank you for asking omg. I just LOVE talking about tattoos - not just about mine but also about tattoos in general. They're just. So cool. And everyone has such an individual taste and style, it's awesome!
(Cut for length and pictures)
My first tattoo is a pink and purple Wayfinder from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep on my wrist (because BBS is my fav Kingdom Hearts game and Xigbar/Braig used to be my fav character until a certain plot twist in KH3 that fucked up 12 years of stanning.) I haven't completely lost hope, but depending on where the games go, I just. Might get it modified or redone or touched-up or expanded. We'll see.
I got it in 2019 during my first burnout to remind myself that I belong to myself and my body is mine and only mine, so I guess it's something between a self-healing and a trans thing. I don't even know anymore. Anyway, I don't regret it, it still looks nice, but since I don't know where I'm going with it, I won't take a pic for now.
I got my second one in 2021. I've been a fan of Resident Evil ever since I was 12 years old (yes, I know, I was too young, but this was before I could piss off people on the internet by sliding into adult spaces as a kid), and while I kind of lost interest in the franchise for a while and while I HATED 7 (yes, I know. Unpopular opinion), 8 dragged me back. I commissioned a friend for the design because while I knew what I wanted - Umbrella, Steampunk, the Heisenberg logo) I'm not an artist.
I will link Vincent here, please go check out his art and buy some cool things from him, okay?
Anyway, this is the finished piece:
Tumblr media
Since my tattoo artist fucked up a bunch of things, it's very much faded already and looks like it's like 10 years old instead of 2 already, sigh sigh, and I'll have to get it re-done soon-ish. Once I have the spare cash because this is gonna be expensive as fuck.
The third one was also designed by Vincent (no, for real, go give him money) and it's basically a glorified ship tattoo for The Quarry. I wanted something for the Travislaura working together + Lauramax reunion + Travislaura killing each other achievements, and I told Vincent I wanted it with the base of the broken mirror shards and the flowers being mirrored in them while needle and thread and hold everything loosely together. It's gorgeous, and I love it a lot. I'm very unashamed about wearing it on my chest because literally nobody gets that it's a ship tattoo until I tell them lmao
I got it last November.
Tumblr media
Once we clean up the Resident Evil tattoo, my studio and I will also expand the Quarry one and make them look like they belong together. Which means we will make sure to give them both a water colour background blending from my left shoulder (reddish-brown/rust coloured RE tattoo) to my chest (blue and purple hues for the Quarry), we will also add a few more smaller mirror shards to my shoulder.
And. Well. Now there's the 4 birds. I initially only had a mock-up picture from the internet, but I asked my spouse to trace them off an ingame screenshot. I'm very glad we did that lmao because the mock-up would have looked way worse than what I have now. Like. I was... hoping it would look halfway okay. I had never believed it would look just fucking incredible. It's probably gonna peel in a day or two already, it's healing perfectly!
........................I want more tattoos. I grew up with games. And books. But it's mostly games that made me feel and fall in love with them. So it's gonna be more game tattoos.
(Also hi, I stream video games sometimes because *clenches fists* I just love video games.)

My whole body and legs are aching so bad. I know I don't walk as much as I used to but man. It's ridiculous how much all the walking today took me out.
It was a very good day though!! It was full and fun and just so good. I slept alright. And woke up in a good mood. James made the bed and watered the plants while I got dressed and very soon we were leaving for work together.
It was fun being back at the museum for real. Like yes I've been around but I haven't given a tour in months. And today was good. I only gave a partial tour but it was still a lot of fun.
We stopped and picked up breakfast and I didn't check and was very disappointed when I went to eat my sandwich later and it was just meat in an English muffin. Like I ate the muffin stuff but I was bummed.
But everything else was good. I would give my partial tour, to a very nice woman who just started working at the Walters. And she was great. Lots of questions and while I wasn't able to give a perfect answer every time, but she was fun to talk too.
It wasn't a busy day and no one else would ask for a tour. I would wander around and take to people. And turn on machines. I also just went around and found all the light bulbs that needed to be changed and found some issues (like two buckets of water just sitting in the blacksmith area, probably used for quenching but Bob isn't going to be here for 8 weeks so this just seemed like a bad idea) and that felt productive.
I was also proud of myself for finished my book today! The one I was reading the other week and it had like a very sad but hopeful ending. Like yes people die, things change, but the world keeps going and there is still good in it. And that was nice. I for sure would have made some changes about certain things but overall I really liked it. I am looking forward to starting the next book on my list though. Something less romantic.
I would give James a little break and they went to get us lunch since my sandwich didn't work out. I chatted with Jessica about the upcoming school year. I'm excited to be back.
We did have one guest today who James did not want to connect with people they kept referring to Baltimore as a 'dead city ' and that upset that. But a couple came in and James was able to have a whole conversation in Spanish with them and that brightened them up.
We finished up the day and headed out. Jessica and Beth were leaving just as we were and they hoped we would have fun at the state fair. And while I was a little worried about being hot, I was really excited to go.
We drove home and cleaned up. I found our metro cards for the train and finally activated my new credit card. That I've had for 6 months. I have tap now! Neat!
And then we were off. We got confused and missed the first train. But the other came really quick. And we rode it until the last stop at the fairgrounds.
We got there just as it opened at 5. I had been worried about coming on Thursday but for real this was the best time to go?? No lines!! At all! We could walk around and see everything and no one was crowding around. It was awesome. Like yes I was a little to hot but I had the best time.
Highlights: I got to pet piglets! The mommy pig was also sweet and let me pet her snoot. We got to see some piggy races. We ate good food. James got a corn dog and fried tomatoes, I got a grilled cheese that had local made ingredients. We shared a root bear. I loved seeing the flowers and the hand made items. And I spoke to a woman who was sitting there tatting and she said they are going to add loom knitting into the fair next year and I could submit my temperature blanket. And she also encouraged me to keep practicing tatting. I may submit a whole bunch of stuff, or spend next year making stuff for the next year's fair just to have a goal. I also noticed there were teddy bears but they all had the same tight together eye look and I was like. Why do they all look like this? Maybe I'll enter a bear as well. I'm excited by this new prospect.
I really loved getting to go in the parakeet cage and having all the birds flying around me. And James found a whole display about the negro baseball leagues in Baltimore. While they were reading that I went and looked at the balloon display and talk the the Catholics because they were giving away prayer cards. So I told them about my dad and asked for something that would help bring my parents comfort in a hard time. And she suggested the untier of knots, which is Mary and I always liked Mary even if I don't have the like MOM connection some people seem too. And really dad can use any help he can get at this point.
We would wander around and laugh at stuff and see animals and it was great. But I was starting to lose steam because my feet hurt real bad and I had been in the sun to long. So James took me home.
We got the train almost right away. The walk home from the stop was tough but we made it without me falling apart. And I would take a shower and that helped me a lot. I didn't feel as much like I was going to fall down. James rubbed my legs and got the knit out of my calf. And I hope putting my legs up help them feel better for tomorrow.
I had a leftover piece of pizza and James got down some of our Halloween decorations. And now I have a pumpkin build a bear. And I am very much ready to go to sleep.
Tomorrow I have jury duty. I'm excited. I hope it's an interesting day. And I hope you all have a good night. Take care of yourself. Sleep good!!

Jimmy caught on really quick that Leslie was an ad but he never caught on that both Timmy and Nathan tried to kill him,I....am open to speculations,
This is a very complex boy, it's fun to talk about him
He is a very complex boy, he is also the best and is very very cool and perfect. Jimmy Stan 2021
Well, I suppose Timmy and Nathan are real people, so they're far more complex when it comes to hiding their purposes, but at the same time, Leslie seems to be just as or far more competent with things like that as well as manipulation. And, to be fair, neither Nathan nor Timmy really hid their true intentions at all, Jimmy was just a bit blinded to see it.
Blinded by what is the question I suppose- In Cripple Fight Jimmy was super new, and everyone was treating him like their best friend, he probably assumed tat was the same thing with Timmy, with Jimmy himself saying that him and Timmy were best friends even before Timmy got him kicked out of the scouts for supposed homosexuality. (That episode was insane-!)
Nathan. Well, ok this one is different definitely. In his first appearance he gave Jimmy steroids as an aid for his training and competition. Jimmy, who took these with little to no convincing would probably have appreciated the continued supply, being unable to see at the time that he was being used for money and humiliation- In the episode, he never confronts Nathan about giving him the steroids and only blames himself for taking them. So we never really get to hear how he feels about Nathan a this point. And maybe he just forgot about that whole thing simply because he was in the wrong as well, being focused on owning up to that.
I can't exactly talk further on Nathan, as the only episode I have completely watched with him in it is Up The Down Steroid.
I am currently on the last episode of season 9, but I have prior knowledge to certain episodes.
For now, at least, my estimate is that Jimmy forgets or doesn't see fit to call out Nathan and his inclusion in many schemes meant to tear him down. Perhaps he simply doesn't see the faults, or forgets to address them.
I'll have to watch the summer camp episode soon though, as any Jimmy episode is a great episode in my book :)

Today was pretty good. I felt good and productive and happy. It was really nice to have a real field trip at the museum. And I just felt so cute.
I slept alright. James left for work and I got to sleep another hour. I woke up and had trouble getting my eyes open. But I had given myself that time in my morning plan. So I was all good. I got up and washed and dressed. I packed a snack. And I was off.
I stopped at McDonald's. And when I got to the museum I was excited to meet the other new person. Her name is Becca and she is very sweet. I was also excited to work the Kristen and Jordan. I would go to the classroom to see Jordan get trained on building the paper cars. And me and Jessica, who was doing the training, had some laughs about how we do it differently. She is very take you time explain all the rules and mine is a little more chaotic.
It was a good time all day!! The group was on time. I got to wave at James. And then it was tour time.
It was a much better tour. I felt great. They were a really sweet group and had great questions. And after the tour it was time to go to the assembly line. Jordan was a great partner there. And I think it went pretty well overall. I got a little overheated and we finished up a little faster then I hoped. But that was okay. Everyone had fun and they got a few extra minutes of lunch.
I took my little break during that time. Got scavenger hunt ready. And watched some videos. James came back to heat up their lunch and give me a smooch. It's so nice working together again.
The scavenger hunt was fine. Only about half of them were participating and some were running around and being a little naughty but it was fine. At the end of the hunt I showed them the ring of fire and got lots of ooos and ahhs.
After they were done I grabbed James and the new people and relit it so they could see it too. Becca is afraid of fire so she probably won't ever use it but it was good for everyone to see if they ever need it.
We all did supplies and some cleaning. And had some laughs. Talked about when I crashed my bike. Lots of stories. I really love my coworkers.
I went to say goodbye to James before I headed out. They only had a few hours left of work so while they did that I ran my little errands.
I drove out to Towson. I went to the thrift store first and found a life guard chair lamp for James. And an amazing coat. It's the exact shape I have been looking for and it's furry throughout the arms. I love it. I wish it was a little darker but I don't even know if I'll attempt to wash it. It's just to nice to risk.
I went to Joann's next and got the hoops I needed and the eggs for darning. I also got myself tatting shuttles to try my hand at making lace. Love learning a new thing to do with my hands.
I headed out of there and went to the target up there. They also didn't have the solar spot Valentine's day stuff I wanted and I was very sad. I did get the ketchup and eyeliner primer I needed. I almost got Starbucks but just went home instead.
It was kind of an annoying drive home. Directly into the sun and lots of traffic. But I got home not long after James did.
I had some mail, including our wedding invites!! They look so nice!! I'm thrilled. It's way to early to send them out but it feels really nice to have them here now.
I got to work on my art of the day though. I knew what I was making, which was a violet. This ended up taking me a long time. Almost two hours. But I was really happy with the process. I picked up new beading needles so it was a lot easier. Just a long process.
Half way through James made us Tex Mex. Which was very good. I would do my knitting during that. And then back to beading and sewing.
My back hurt very bad after all of that. So I laid on the ravioli and soon James would join me. We watched videos and it was nice.
I got a shower soon after that. Washed my hair. And now I am cozy in bed.
Tomorrow James has the day off and we are going to have a fancy breakfast before we go to the caterers to try some food and pay a down payment for our wedding!! Isn't that crazy??
I hope you all sleep great tonight. Take care of yourselves. Goodnight!!
