Btw while I'm here many thanks for always reliably excellent tma posting! I followed you because a friend kept sending ur posts to me and you have truly elevated my tumblr experience /genuine

so as s5 wore on and the tape recorders became more of a pressing issue, it started to look pretty likely that a fourth wall break was coming, and for some reason this made people violent. lots of people were very very insistent that not only would this be a shitty writing move but also immoral somehow because shaming your audience for enjoying fiction would just be adding meaningless pain to an already suffering world or something. and they Would tell you this if you made a post entertaining the idea in an at all positive way, shouting you down about how it was never going to happen and if it did it would completely ruin the trajectory of the story. and then it happened in the show and it was fine.
