Spicy Spicy Spicy!!! Spicy Squid Man!!!

Hmmm I'm just gunna let myself go until I can't say anything else. :)c Did you know Kas' name is Kaspar Keatos. Keatos is the bastardization of the name cetus/κῆτος which is basically what any sea creature in Greek Mythology is called! Pronounced Kee-tos, add the 'a' to make Kea-tos. I don't remember why i named him Kaspar :)c

I made Kas ages ago! Similar to Bubble he existed as a concept before he existed in actuality. I had Thunder's history kind of planned out. It's changed a lot! Originally, Kaspar was the one who like "gave" Chow over to the cult he was indoctrinated into. The plot had been Kas wanted Thunder's complete attention. But, you know, I aged...trolls aged....the story kinda went sour. Anyone who knows me knows I like using this blog as a way to narrate trauma.

So when I "brought" Kas back, my idea was like.....Sometimes people who do shitty things still end up happy. Sometimes people who are shitty and horrible get great things in life. Do I enjoy the fact that my ex works for Tesla and makes fucking bank? Fuck no! But, that's life. Thunder doesn't HAVE to like that Kaspar made it big. He can't change it, even if he wanted to he could not. He's accepted that as fact- As seen in his response to This Ask. Thunder in and of himself is a WHOLE novella I could write. I won't for now but- yeah! What ended up happening with Kas' muse was he did the same thing Kamuuk and Bruuno had done. They kinda wrote their own stories! Which is a really amazing feeling, honestly, I love nothing more than when a character takes my hand and say "No, let me show you what really happened."

Tangent; Kas' insecurity. I've been thinking abt that one judge response where Dollmaker said his ego and insecurity were like the same? And thats so true!!!!!! On one hand; the world has been given to him on a golden fucking platter. He wants it and he gets it. Even when he lived in his colony, he was one of like two fuchsias! On top of that, he's pretty! But...Everything he's been handed on the surface has come with strings attached, strings he wasn't and maybe isn't even entirely aware of. His entire niche as an actor is based entirely off of looking like a freak. He's a freak of nature, truly! He's fucking huge, still growing, has more fins than a fish market, and sometimes he glows! What the fuck! He's been fed that he's only getting what he wants because he looks weird. He doesn't look normal. He's kind of in the same boat as Kam; "Not a REAL fuchsia!" But Kas isn't entirely aware of that, really? Because while he's told he isn't TRUE royalty....he somehow thinks, oh, its because I'm on my own level. On the caste triangle, I am on par with fuchsia. He doesn't necessarily see himself as fuchsia in a similar way to Bruuno. Bruuno specifically doesn't think he's royalty at all, he's defunct at best, but Kas thinks he's just on his own little level. He's Kas! :) But being Kas means being monstrous. So while he thinks he's Good, he's Great, he's also like, in the back of his mind, subconsciously remembering that he's only where he is BECAUSE he's a freak.

Being a monstrous freak means he can't let anyone close. He also is afraid of letting other people close because he's, quietly, afraid of holding too tightly again. In his eyes he sees what happened with Thunder as him holding on too tightly. He held Thunder too tight, which caused Thunder to get hurt and lash out, which hurt Kas in return. So Kas just doesn't want to repeat that. In a strange mixture of Bubble and Ryosar, he's obsessive (like Bubble) and aware of his negative tendencies (like Ryosar) but unlike either, he's actually ATTEMPTING to do something about it. His solution is to just........avoid getting there. Which obviously creates issues when he has one (1) friend Valdiv! Val just kinda refuses to let Kas ignore them, refuses to be afraid. Someone so unafraid, and so determined to be close, has...in a strange way, somewhat made Kas open up a bit!
