Even if everything else in my garden fails this year, the first harvest is IN and it is DANDELION ROOTS

#I'd have collected more but I got rained on. More tomorrow maybe #I only prep dandelion root tea once a year so I'll have to probably reconstruct my rocess from first principles for the fourth time #but that's what gardening and cooking are about probably... #I tried braised dandelion greens last year too: don't recommend #I guess dandelion wine is the one major dandelion product I haven't made yet. But I don't have the apparatus #maybe next year for fun #things currently in my garden: garlic. strawberries. blueberries. rose bush (orange). rose bush (hot pink). peony. lavender #I just gotta think what annuals I want to do (tomato seedlings did not survive) #oh I've also got feral lettuces. growing as weeds #and some young maple trees that need to get dug up. May try to recruit them to live in flowerpots on the balcony
